Thank you!! I actually have a cost breakdown in works now so it's coming soon! I've also got a full itemized spreadsheet of the pricing of everything I used in my van build available here under "Price List": www.joeythenomad.com/van-materials
That is awesome 🤩, you seem to have thought of everything, well done 👍. I love the rave mode, that’s definitely something I would do with my own van lol. Thanks 👍👍👍👍🙏🏻
One of the best builds ever! I’m not sure if I need the interior shower but that’s an amazing setup. Will you convert mine?! Haha! I wish I was handy 😩 The bed to couch option is amazing. My current van (86 Vanagon) came with that stock and I’d love to have that option once I get the Promaster.
Your usage of the van is genius!! I was always thinking about how the shower space could be used for storage when not in use! This is genius! Please update us on things that you really like and what you regret!
So beautifully done love love love the shower and everything so neat and clean all in it’s place and so much stuff stored would never know this is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Have you seen Seven o Savage's van videos? He called his 1st one Vangelina Jolie too :) I love your accessible under bed storage and sofa modes. 3 bikes and 2 guitars with room for more gear is great. Good double use of shower space too. When I get a van I'll be using a couple of ideas and mounting a similar monitor too.
Love Seven O Savage's stuff! Didn't see he also named his Vangelina Jolie but great minds think alike I guess lol. And thank you! Feel free to steal all my idea lol
This is brilliant! I've seen a lot of versions of builds in this size van. This is the best. It has everything one could possibly want to live full time very comfortably in a van. It's also beautifully designed and built. I was amazed that it wasn't built by pros. One thing, though: This isn't exactly a stealth van. It's very big! Perhaps too big to park casually on city streets. (I read Joey's comment that he _can_ and does park in cities.) That said, the size is perfect for anyone who works and lives in a van, and the design and construction of this one is just about perfect.
Thank you! I agree its not a perfect stealth van and if you know what to look for its obviously a campervan, I more meant stealth because i don't have any ladders or anything on it to obviously give it away and the pvc tubes on the roof hide the fan and solar panel so it looks more like a work van. I do find parking on city streets but obviously gotta look a little more carefully than if it was a smaller van. All about finding an overall design that works for you!
Thank you for the tour. You and your dad are extremely talented. One question: Did you have any concerns purchasing a used Amazon van, since the beat the heck out of those delivery vehicles with all the stop/start activity. How many van repairs/upgrades did you have to do. Pleasant journeys.
I bought the van from the dealership that had leased it to amazon so they took care of any repairs or anything before I bought it and it was still low mileage, so i wasn't too concerned
Hi Joey, what a fantastic van build! I’ve been thinking of this shower setup as well, and was wondering where you got the pull-out shower screen? I’ve been googling but cannot seem to find it. Maybe I’m using the wrong search terms. Hopefully you’re reading this 😇 Thanks a lot in advance, I hope to be enjoying fulltime Vanlife very soon as well 💫 Best, Yara
Thanks Yara! The sliding screen is a nautilus rv shower door that i got online. I just entered the height and width I wanted on their website and then installing it in the van was pretty easy. Here's the link, see you on the road soon! shop.stoett.com/nautilus-retractable-shower-doors-for-rv/?attribute_pa_application=rv
Congrats for the van, really nice! Doors on top of your shower for extra storage love it! Your solar panel is a one piece 400w unit? Which one is it and where did you get it ? Thks.
Okay the wardrobe shower/pantry is amazing I never seen nothing like that before how much will it do this build? And did you build it or somebody help you? I would love to have this as a third vehicle
@@joeythenomad I'm 195cm (6'4). I've actually had the brilliant idea of engineering a fridge on a swivel (1600mm tall 12V fridge and freezer that I have) that swings OUT of the shower when I want it. Luckily I'm just the guy I need to make that work! Still, 6 more months (at least) for my new transit to arrive. Ordered it in May this year. World is messed up.
Can you post a video of how your skylight works so you can just go thru that to get to the roof? 🙌🏼 I always see ladders but not your way to get up top. 😄
@@joeythenomad totally smart to do that if the light doesn’t bother you. Such a nice feature to look up at the stars and I’m sure they make covers to block the light inside also. I am looking at a black van with a ladder to access the roof but it also has space in the back to add a skylight or 2nd fan/AC if need be. I’m hoping to not need that. I’d love a roof top deck and skylight! I just want to see how you pass thru yours. My current van has a skylight but it only pops up a few inches.
@@katekaos Here's an explanation how i get through until i make the video. Basically the height of my bed is high enough so that when i open the skylight and standup on the bed the skylight opening is at my waist, so I just do a little hop to sit on the rooftop deck from there then pull my legs through the skylight and standup. I also have a blackout shade for it so light doesn't go right through it in the morning and wake me up
@@joeythenomad I know how you get up there but just wondering what kind of skylight and how it fully opens because I’ve never seen that before. So basically I’m more interested in the engineering or the sky light. Mine is attached and with a knob it pops open a few inches or closes. Does your slide open or pop up and over like a little door?! Hard to describe but please make a video when you can. No rush! 😄
Hi Joey, i really like your doors closing off your shower and im looking to do something similar. But we pull out a covered kitchen drawer to use as a step to hop into bed. We tend to leave it open to come down and go use the toilet in the middle of the night. So I'm trying to figure out how to add doors that won't interfere with my step. How do you jump onto your bed? Are you just using a box that you stow away? Thanks!
Hey! I don't use a box or anything to get onto my bed, I just jump up there. But a moveable box or foldable step would probably be the best and easiest solution so after you step down you can just fold it up or fold it back so it'll get out of the way of the bathroom door. That's what I would do in my design if I had a step anyway
I spent just under 20k on the conversion, and a lot of that is in the power system because I use induction cooking and take it skiing in the winter so i need enough power to cover cloudy days
I don't know where you live but in the US and Canada at least you don't need to park at a campsite. You can definitely park it at your house or a lot of times when I'm in city I just park it in overnight street parking and its totally fine too as long as thats allowed in the area
This may be my favorite build ever! You should do a video on cost breakdown because I'd love to know!

The alternative use of bathroom space for storage that attach to the door is so smart.
