I've been really dragging myself through the workday and so I decided to treat myself to a little library trip and now Noelle is also treating me with a new video - this Friday quickly became a whole lot better! 😊💛
I never laugh this hard in a morning for quite some time. Haha. When the anger turns to humor. "They are sisters not twins.""Oh is it Ash Wednesday, I thought it is Monday" thank you Noelle for this. Hahaha. Sometimes we cannot have it all.
watching this vlog is such a sweet, sweet reminder of why noelle is so beloved on this medium. what an angel darling human being. the eyeliner moment was truly iconique.
I’m not in my makeup girlie era yet, but this is the peak makeup tutorial, Noelle. This is the best it will ever be😭❤️❤️ howww can I ever watch another after this
DON'T TEMPT ME I WILL MAKE A MAKEUP CHANNEL RIGHT THIS INSTANCE!!
Yay more Noelle vlogs! Grapes of Wrath is one of my favorite American classics, so much emotion and intensity packed into that book. And the ending omg. Native Son has been on my TBR for literally ages so I must get to it soon! Happy reading :)
Grapes of Wrath is an absolute experience of a novel! I struggled with it a lot (I was young and non-American, so I had to learn about a lot of the history to even start to understand it) and when I was done I was just like: damn, that was rough! Let's do it again sometime.
omg JAYLEEN??? love to see this duo 😭 also such a cozy comfy vlog just the thing i needed after a stressful week
I love when you do this kinds of videos, so calming... Really miss the favorites videos
i'm glad you said this because i've been wanting to film a new favorites video but i didn't know if anyone would even want to watch them!! you have persuaded me!!
Can confirm, I like them as well!
+1 to all of the above 😍
aaaa i love traveling noelle! and what you said about just picking up a book and reading is so accurate, i feel like that's 80% of my struggle lately with keeping reading as a habit
There is something so calming / relaxing about random (clean and cute) hotel rooms. I also relate so, so much to the fear of flying. I was actually looking into buying the book SOAR by a pilot I cannot remember right now.
the confidence with which you do your eyeliner is what i'm aiming for in life
I would loooove a reading vlog where you also show us how you get through your calendar and if you felt comfortable with that routine:)
The person jumping on the bed that can be seen through the reflection on the window is just gold (7:40)
My sister and I laughed so hard at your whole eyeliner segment. Love you Noelle!💙💕💛
LOVE YOU
I can't express how happy this made me. :) Jaylen is such a gem and getting to see two of my favorites together in one vlog was amazing. I hope you two get to collab again in the future. Love you both. The cookies looked amazing and the book chat was excellent but the eyeliner application was iconic. I died laughing. Pour one out for the lefty. lol One of the best vlogs I've seen in a long time. You're so hilarious and charming. Looking forward to hearing from both you and Jaylen to find out what you both thought of your buddy read. Thanks for taking us along for this epic bookish adventure.
I used to work for an airline behind the scenes so I’ve seen it all. It’s hard to control your fear of flying BUT the important systems on a plane are redundant - all kinds of back ups. Pilots are trained and trained and trained. Maintenance actions are reviewed and reviewed again at times. ❤
thank you for this comment!! this will be my mantra on my next flight!!
@@NoelleGallagher not just that but turbulence is a good thing. I’m an engineering student, it’s just bumpy air and it’s what keeps your plane in the sky. Look up the jello theory thing for airplanes; basically when they hit turbulence it’s like if they’re bouncing in some jello. It’s not just safe, but necessary for flight, and planes can’t just fall out of the sky because their forward speed generates too much lift for that to happen
i’m working my first 8.5 hour shift at starbucks today, and this video made my day so much more tolerable and enjoyable! thanks norlle ❤️❤️
7:38 LOL look at the reflection of the window behind her..someone jumped onto the bed and the dog followed LOL
Noelle you are lovable AF. Eyeliner segment was pure gold. I LOVE travel and books and combining them is my favorite. Reminder to read Grapes of Wrath. I somehow was able to miss this during my high school education and English lit degree!
YES! The Parlor is one of my favorite places to go everytime I go back to Phoenix! If you like coffee, in downtown Chandler is a coffee shop called Peixoto.
love the chaos, personally. you could be doing literally anything and it'd still be a good time. i'd watch you write your grocery list tbh
A Swim in the Pond in the Rain is a legit masterpiece!
Ohnygod Jaylen!!!! This feels like the best crossover !!♡♡
the moment of silence after getting one perfect eyeliner wing is so real
the eyeliner part had me crying 😂
As a Minneapolis gal, I get absurdly excited when people shout out Minnesota 😂😅 glad you liked it here!!
I remember reading Native Son in high school. To this day it still has the same impact. So intense and sad but so good.
Omg, Noelle, you have no idea how relieved i am to hear you talk about your flight anxiety stemming from your fascination with plane crashes. I am in the exact same boat, at the point where I need MUCH anxiety medications in order to even take a flight due to my fascination with 9/11 documentaries, lol. You make me feel so much less alone in this world with odd morbid fascinations!
I also remember you speaking about sinking ships and how you love reading about those too… maybe it’s some type of human-error disaster fascination that we share!
loved this vlog! the cookie taste test, jaylen and bookshopping, 10/10
Noelle's hair matching the t-shirt matching the sofa matching the dog.
Ooo A Swim in a Pond in the Rain sounds so intriguing!! Jaylen sold it well, and I'm excited to see your thoughts on it!!😊
I share your exact fear, where i used to be such a comfortable flyer and now have intense fear when i fly. Hopefully it gets better for both of us soon! maybe it’s just a phase♥️ Proud of you for flying still!
I'm so glad you're reading (and enjoying) Grapes of Wrath! It was one of my favorite required readings for high school, just because it is so intensely emotional and really makes you think about the world and your life. The characters are so wonderfully complex, as well. Hope your week continues to go well!
I hate flying. Growing up I watched a shit ton of "How the disaster happened" shows and many were airline crashes so now that's all I think of.
I just finished Grapes of Wrath and it is PHENOMENAL.
Glad you enjoyed your short work trip to Minneapolis. We do have lots of water and trees around here. Lots of great green spaces to recreate all over. I recall reading Grapes of Wrath back in high school and considered picking up it again. It’s an interesting time in American history where good but maybe desperate people had to do desperate things to survive.
I loved the Grapes of Wrath! Going into it I only knew that it was about the dust bowl and the family moving to California during the great depression. It is one of my favorite classics. Thanks for the review of Native Sun. I may pick it up.
Welcome to AZ! It’s where i’m from! Hopefully it wasn’t too hot 😅 changing hands is a gem here!!!
So excited for your new video! Just wanted to hop on here before watching. Hope wedding prep’s going well. Best book of this month for me has got to be Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, hope it’s on your radar! ❤️
Hey, Noelle! If you liked Grapes of Wrath, I 100% recommend Whose Names are Unknown by Sanora Babb; they came out at the same time. She’s actually an Oklahoma native who came out to California and followed the story of several families. She volunteered to work with Farm Security Administration and her book draws from hands on experience. In fact, it’s said that the person who Steinbeck sent to research the migrant workers actually used her notes. Or at least too inspiration from them.
This was such a fun vlog, I laughed so hard! Meditating on the cat wing liner made my year 😉😆
The eyeliner, being at the wrong hotel, talking with your hands and being anxious is all I needed 😂
I’m so glad you enjoyed Minneapolis! You were in a great location to experience a variety of activities. Love the vlogs!!!📚❤️👍
Hey Noelle! 1. You're hilarious 2. Can you do a video about what you do for work? Is it predominately RUclips/Media? I'm fascinated to learn about other people's careers (aka how other people make money and spend their days). And how does your education tie in to your career goals, etc.
yes!! totally!! i was thinking of doing a a "day in my life video" where i talk about work more in depth 👀
i hope you know that my self-care steps literally include putting your videos on, taking a nice long shower, and putting on some hydrating face mask
I cannot believe you came to Minneapolis and I didn’t know💔 I love your travel vlogs though and the makeup tutorial was everything.
I laughed so hard at whoever flopped on the bed in the background around 7:41 😂 I would totally do the same thing lol
I DIDN'T NOTICE THIS UNTIL YOU JUST POINTED IT OUT AND NOW I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING
Noelle you were like EXCEPTIONALLY funny and enjoyable to watch in this Love ittt as always lol thanks for making this vid
OMG Jaylen!! So nice to see you together 💗💗
That makeup session was great Noelle! I needed that. You’re awesome thanks
Ash Wednesday 🤣🤣 screaming. The whole eyeliner scene is me EVERY time I do my cat eye.
Woot! woot! New Noelle vid always makes the day better 🤩
This is such a comfort video, loved spending time with you!
I cannot believe you were in Minneapolis and I didn’t get to see you! I hope you enjoyed Uptown🥰
So quick question question why so pretty 😍😍 also loved the little eyeliner rant... Also loved the chaos moments just because today I was driving thinking does anyone actually goes through these random phases where they are like super excited in a very anxious way and u literally showed that 😍😍😍😍😍 love you and your videos as always 🥰 I will be a dedicated supporter of Noelle and this channel forever 😇
Welcome to flying into Phoenix during Monsoon season!! Wren and Wolf is great and I love Crumbl!!!
Honestly my fave Noelle vlog in a minute 🔥
thank you for saying this because i almost was like....is this video too chaotic LMAO
Loved everything about this video! How Fun. Thanks for making this weeks end so enjoyable!
This is literally me every morning when I put eyeliner on and eventually I say the ever famous Mia Thermopolis Princess Diaries line "This is as good as it's gonna get" 🤣
I just sat down to take a break after an embarrassing failed attempt at organizing my library; the mental breakdown can wait I’ve got a new Noelle vid to watch.
i've been thinking about reorganizing my bookshelves but the stress is just too much 😅 hope you're able to get through it soon!!
LOVE changing hands bookstore!!
“Ash Wednesday, but I thought it was Monday”😭😭😭😭
I started going to Phoenix for monthly work trips so I made notes about the restaurants, coffee shops, & book store. I checked out The Poisoned Pen in Scottsdale on my last trip & loved it. I’ll have to hit Changing Hands on my next trip.
Enjoyed this video! I also used to be comfortable flying and am no longer. I vomited on a plane a couple years back and have never been happy flying since. Also, I have found that there are more cacti further south in Arizona! My spouse is from Tucson and it’s beautiful. I love the saguaros - constantly amazed by them as someone who didn’t grow up in that climate/geography. I’ve been told that Phoenix is aiming for a Southern California feeling which is why there are so many non-native plants there.
I hope you enjoyed Phoenix Noelle! It’s been so nice here! But yeah these storms have been pretty bad with the floods
i got my hand necklace from ana luisa delivered today! it's so pretty I'm so excited
ahhhh!! thank you for buying 😭
i got one earlier this year too and i love it!!! i've been getting a lot of compliments on it 💙
Omg Noelle AND Jaylen! Booktube heaven
Noelle, you literally made my day! It was such a sh***y day until I saw your video popping in my notifications. You made me smile and laugh, so thank you
It’s my brother’s birthday party but I got a notification and I gotta watch it now cause I miss Noelle 🫶🏼
try the glossier eyeliner, it's soooo good she does dry out fast but it's cheaper than the others so whatever
I’m so glad that you posted! I missed seeing your videos!
have you ever considered packing a really long pair of boots and then realizing you can’t fit them in your suitcase and then just give up and wear them on the plane but then think ‘wow what a hassle’ (also we still don’t need real id’s)
Idk how you do it but you make me laugh and bring me so much joy and comfort 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
So excited for another vloggggg noelle ❤️❤️
I read The Grapes of Wrath in High school and loved it! I just re bought it. I think you will like it, especially since you did enjoy The Four Winds, and they take place in that era.
such a good video. Miss you Noelle!
i love your vlogs so much and i loved the grwm moment!
literallt got the same crumbl cookies order over the weekend the raspberry was godly
Noelle, East of Eden by Steinbeck is one of my favorites of the year!! It has an amazing cast of characters and themes of religion being both good and bad. Super thought provoking and lovely in my opinion - I think you’d enjoy it.
New subscriber here! Your videos are such a vibe 😍 and the color of your hair? Just makes everything even better 😂 never related to another reader so much in my life!
Omg Noelle. The EXACT same thing happened to me with flying. I fell down a rabbit hole of flight simulations of the most notorious place crashes with the actual black box recordings. Now even the slightest bump, and I'm like oh no this is exactly how Flight 232 started.
Can’t wait to hear what you think about carnality!! I have read it in swedish and I love Lina Wolff!
I go to that bookstore all the time! Love it! ❤
The commentary about your eyeliner was the best 😂
So here for this vlog renaissance 🥰
I just felt everybit of your make-up routine in this one.
I read Native Son last month and I agree, it was so intense but so good.
Essential rule for planes, trains, and automobiles- always, always bring a back-up book! 📚✨
My journey with Noelle Recommendations started with The Hating Game. 🍓Now I have gone back & watched all the backlog to form a list of 44 books (obviously she recommended more than that but this is a list that sounded most interesting to me) for my TBR. Some books weren’t included as read like The Last Husbands of Evelyn Hugo 💚 (because I had already read that prior to being a subscriber) and The Late Night Book Club picks (unless Noelle mentioned them several times before the Club picked them like The Song of Achilles 🏹). Thank you so much for all your videos!!! ♥️ This sweet petunia will never run out of things to read… maybe I will be bold and read a Stephen King book? 🫣
“Ash Wednesday? But I thought it was Monday?” 🤣🤣🤣
I red grapes of wrath during covid lock down and it was so relevant to everything going on t the time it was roughhhh
You always make me smile Noelle! I was caught wondering mmm is that a wedding ring? Did I miss the big day? Either way joy and blessings your way. Thanks for sharing your world of books 😎💗🌈
I wondered about the ring as well
The NOSTALGIA!!! I grew up in Tempe, AZ (now in Tucson, so not far) and I LOVED when I could convince my mom to take me to Changing Hands Bookstore. 🥹
While flying out of Phoenix I flew through a storm and it was so terrifying I thought I was done for! Must be something about that dry air!
“Ash Wednesday” had this Catholic (i.e. me) rolling on the floor
i loved Bad Thoughts!!!
Whenever I hear "The grapes of wrath" I immediately pair it with "The garden of earthly delights" by Joyce Carol Oates❤
I really enjoyed this video. You were so funny. "Ash Wednesday"...LOL!!!! Btw, I never would have noticed the eyeliner situation.
I work at Changing Hands! Got really excited to see it in your video! I am at the Tempe location though. It's a local independent bookstore and the Phoenix staff is great! If you saw any staff recs by Cailey that's me! So glad you had a great time!
Loved this vlog!!!
Friggin hilarious video, loved this one Noelle!
