When challenged in court, they dropped their religious discrimination. They also dropped ROTC because the military does not allow racial discrimination. The only reason they're still getting away with racial discrimination in enrollment is because they're so rich that they can pay off (BRIBE) the plaintiff to accept an out-of-court settlement in the millions of dollars. The US Supreme Court has already found Kam's enrollment practices to be racially discriminatory. One of these days, their racial discrimination will finally come to an end.

Always pros and cons with any change. It’s impossible to please and appease everyone. I see both sides but overall it could be a positive ++++. Gentrification of older communities for new development has overall been proven positive as long as the local community is involved and supported. Economically all the jobs, taxes, and new growth that will occur as well as infrastructure. Local property values will increase as well. Look at Ko’alina and how that improved the local economy. With a development deeper in Waianae the benefits are great. To be successful though one of the first things that needs to happen is improving the roads. With only one road in and out staff and guests will be limited by traffic congestion. Plenty planning down the road
