It’s interesting reading the reviews. What surprised me is that learned from the reviews that the movie is only 126 mins long. I could have sworn that there had been discussion on the show about the movie being one of the longest MCU movies made. Regardless, the general perception is that it’s a good, not great movie, with a scene stealing performance from Olsen. And the film is surprisingly small and simply plotted but very Raimi overall.

The rest of us will just watch it and be like 'man, that was pretty bad😬" It's a shame because Dr Strange as a character is amazing, but he deserved better to his sequel than this. Unfortunately this film was a hot mess.
Actually glad there arent that many cameos
I thought this movie would just include a bunch of characters just for fanservice
Well they cut about 20 minutes of the film who knows what that 20 minutes could have been and that was the studio heads that wanted the movie shorten
Marvel aren't scared of 2 and a half hour or so movies. I would suspect the cuts, whether good or bad, we're for a different reason.
The direct follow-up to a critically acclaimed MCU debut, low to mid 80s on RT and mid to high 60s on MC, and a positive review from David Erlich.
This is the next Guardians 2.
Considering that Guardians 2 is my favorite MCU movie: I sure hope so.
I didn't like Gaurdians of the Galaxy 2, but I am very excited for Multiverse of Madness
Guardians 2 was awesome tf you talking about?
I feel definitely when I watch this film day after tomorrow we will see Marvel's What If...? scenarios coming into play for character moments for sure. They kind of teased it in one of the clips already that was released by IGN etc., as Strange and Chavez traveling throughout the multiverse passing through different worlds similar to Ultron fighting Uatu The Watcher as he breaks through multiple dimensions.
No.
Hi, guys… just finished Doctor Strange 2… its AWESOME!! I LOVE IT ALOT!
It really is a Sam Raimi movie, and I enjoy it.. and it is A Doctor Strange movie, like its straight from the comics the way I imagined it when I was a kid. Visually stunning… 10/10 for me.
@@capybara7962 trying to be spoiler free here .
@@geoffreylane5606 Stop hating.
@@geoffreylane5606 oh did I say 10/10 for everybody?
@@geoffreylane5606 movie is subjective dude.. chill… i love the movie. I dont care what you think. 🤪
@@geoffreylane5606 well according to most of marvel fans all marvel movies are 10/10, so you can't fight with them but there are some good marvel fans who say's if the movie is bad then it's bad but there are only few like me.
I'm leaning into the horror aspects of the movie being prominent throughout, we signed up for a classic Sam Raimi movie so we should expect a classic Sam Raimi movie
Joker proved that there needs to be more rated R comic book films. Venom is a great example of studios screwing up an excellent opportunity. The have one of the best actors working today in Tom Hardy and they just wasted his talent. What a shame.
I (37/f) was underwhelmed by this. Too much CGI, even if it was well done... Nothing in the story surprised me or moved me. Not even Wanda's tears. I don't know how I feel about this movie at all...
MCU fans: Complain MCU is too formulaic, all the same and no one dies.
Marvel: Delivers something different.
MCU fans: Complain MCU movie isn't like all the rest and people die.
Okay it seems like you’re addressing two different groups of people and not one group of people with two conflicting views
Looking forward to seeing what they gave us either way, but if it lets me down, at least I had Everything Everywhere All at Once as a great multiverse film this year
I like they don't shy away from killing off characters because of the multiverse.
There will be no consequences to anything now that the multiverse has been introduced. Even if characters die, they can now come back.
Indeed. The toolbox has been opened, so we can expect anything going on forward.....
@@capybara7962 So what?
@@capybara7962 mcu isn't 616.
Anyone who is disappointed by this movie is the product of their own doing. They made up what they wanted to see in their head and they didn’t get it. That’s not marvel’s fault that’s your own.
You are right
@@akashpadhi5977 thanks
Rob’s love making…”oh yeah”…omg😂🤣🤣
Eternals was good. It has a rewatchable factor. People who are not Marvel comic fans will get lost in Dr. Strange.
I really enjoyed it myself. I waited for it to come to Disney+ so my expectations were pretty low. I was pleasantly surprised.
Salty Kool-Aid is now a phrase I will be using
Half backed ideas is what made Eternals not work for me
John !! Is it true that they fired Pedro Pascal for mandalorian 4 and hired Karl Urban to a recast ?? Please need a confirmation about this. Need to be a topic on the show. Oh yea watch you guys every day your show makes my day .
I doubt they fired him, but he may have left
Uh...no man, Pedro hasn't left nor has he been fired lol. Pretty sure those are just rumors.
Its all about managing expectations... The speculations did turn into expectations the hype was so high
it's at 79% now ...
Can I make a suggestion, no camera angles (slight shifts). The microphones cover your mouths. It’s a podcast, I get it, but THIS is the RUclips portion. Maybe nix the wide angle(?)
Crazy to think Scott Derrickson wanted to go even more into the horror side and left because MCU wouldn't let him.
nothing horror about this...
@@anthonyjones3932 exactly thank you
Live in Asia and just finished watching DrS 2. While i loved it, audiences will be divided.
ScreenX version really was fun. Have to watch this in 3D also. Maybe even in MX4D. This movie has so many layers......
Love how every YT'er is saying completely different things.
Tomorrow in Puerto Rico is the release date, so exited !!
Just saw it ! My fave Raimi to date !! I'd also add that we've probably been lied to to help guard one secret like we've never been lied to yet. In my opinion, this makes previous lies look like child's play.
Yikes, I guess we should all lower our expectations. Who woulda thought the best Multiverse movie of 2022 would be an independent Michelle Yeoh movie?? hahaha..
That movie is gonna be so much better then doctor strange

“Yikes?”
Just watch it yourself make your own decision
@@deelewis8061 I saw it too lol I just worded bad but awesome movie
Even the fresh reviews are quite negative. It’s not sounding great. Poor CGI and script 😬
I mean, come on. A place called the Multiverse or several places called the multiverse should be a scary place to be because you can't know what you're gonna get or encounter with, and Marvel decided to hire a director that has his roots in horror films so personally (I'm someone who hasn't seen the movie yet) it's not surprising and it shouldn't be a bad thing either because I'm pretty sure that at the end of the day The Multiverse Of Madness is a marvel movie that still possesses the main MCU DNA
You know what's surprising is that I have read that the first 20 minutes are the worst part of the movie in several reviews.
The critics is one thing, but the audience is another. Going to see this in IMAX 3D doing a spoiler review then we can talk LOL but still excited 😁🙏💙🔥👊
i don't understand why reviews are such a big thing and how reviews can dictate whether or not YOU'RE going like a movie. Every human has their own view of things. I hate DC films but there's literally thousands who love them. Its stupid to rely on reviews, see the shit yourself and have an opinion of your own
I don’t care what anyone says at this point. I have my tickets for 5/5 and if I like it will see it agin on Sunday.
Same here I can’t wait
nothing will stop me from seeing this movie. IDC if it gets a 5%
It was mindblowing!
So what about the "more cameos than nwh and endgame combined"?😶
Don’t remember Marvel ever officially stating that. Stop putting all your eggs into the scooper’s basket.
@@TheGameBelt646 they were saying that because John had predicted this some time ago
A horror movie? and Rob loved the first 20 minutes? yes, yes, yes....I'm absolutely on board. I usually tend to like stuff that both Rob and John have...
Got really horror
I share my taste with john and rob too, that’s why i got out of the cinema very disappointed, i wanted to like this movie so much
Another marvel movie that again will suffer from overhype, it’ll make bank.. but, this won’t do NWH numbers. Especially if it’s true it’s going to drop on Disney plus in 45 days

Anybody seen the Doctor Strange has mixed reviews is delusional as hell The reviews have been overwhelmedly positive it’s sitting at 80 something percent on rotten tomatoes the same as infinity war which had to 85% and the Batman which had to 85% so if you say Doctor Strange was mix do you have to say that those movies mix two
But thats not what rotten tomatoes counts… a movie could be meh but the critic may still give it a red tomato like a 7/10… the reviews are mixed if you read them
The film is very enjoyable. Don’t worry. The only review that matters is your own. It’s a good film!
@@nothisispatrick5123 If the reviews are mixed then the score should've been lower. The fact that it has over 100+ critic reviews and still at 80% doesn't equal to mixed bag whatsoever.

Morbius sweep
Morbius is better 🤓
It’s interesting reading the reviews. What surprised me is that learned from the reviews that the movie is only 126 mins long. I could have sworn that there had been discussion on the show about the movie being one of the longest MCU movies made. Regardless, the general perception is that it’s a good, not great movie, with a scene stealing performance from Olsen. And the film is surprisingly small and simply plotted but very Raimi overall.
I think Ray might be winning that Hot Toy :) More people are going to the movies, there's a lot of buzz going into this from fans of the comics, and I think that'll translate to repeat views from them to make up for the lack of repeat views from others.
Wanda carried the s**t outta this movie imo. Olsens acting as her is getting better every time she plays her. She was the highlight for sure and her presence on screen in this was great.
They were expecting to see every character in the comics
I just saw it. Very boring, if I'm honest. It's also really not a funny movie at all.
Movie is really good and only thing i felt as shortcoming they haven’t explored multiverse in wider spectrum and we guys were teased with multiple no of cameos may be that’s kind of disappointed other than that it’s kept me entertaining for the two hours
That’s all u wanted end of the day
I’m pretty sure u guys gonna love the movie
I don’t know is the movie gonna make billion dollar or not ?
They probably hated it because of how the movie treated Wanda. They didn't like that she killed a bunch of people in this movie. It's like Game of thrones all over again. People were angry because Danaerys slaughtered innocents. Wanda's fans are reeling.
Hehehehehhehe
But most reviewers aren't fans
