If he wants to be a villain, Mr. Sinister. His voice can be ridiculously diabolical. Especially if he's more along the lines of the recent iteration, snarky, underhanded, scene eating.
Nearly the whole focus was on Esposito as a villain. He could play a hero too! Please, no more villains! He could be Blue Marvel, a character that could make an appearance in the FF and their 60's-ish world, and whose story would easily lend itself to a series.
Respectfully, he’s DEFINITELY NOT Norman Osborn. That’s a Sony character and Sony wouldn’t allow a live-action Disney+ series about one of their characters
you do realize sony and marvel have a partnership right? and Kevin Feige always gets his way, Sony is not in a postion to argue, if marvel wants him, Sony will let it happen

@@johansvensson833 Sony don’t own Spiderman, they licensed the live action movie rights, as long as they make a spiderman or related movie every 2-5 years they keep the license, if a company buys them the rights go to back home to marvel, now Spiderman is in the MCU because Sony and Disney made a deal that probably will never end, Sony benefits from the MCU, marvel uses their most popular characters, it’s a win-win, the deal with Amazon is only for one tv show Spider-Man noir

I say Blue Marvel. Blue Marvel would be a historic type of character. Blue Marvel and Giancarlo are roughly the same age and Blue Marvel can easily set in the 60s/Civil Rights era series, and booming to present day. Also, Blue Marvel and Sentry have a history.......

I'd rather see Sterling K Brown as Blue Marvel. I think he's a little bit younger than Giancarlo Esposito, and he's ripped!

Sacha Baron Cohen is rumored to be playing Mephisto.
In winter 2013 when I was at Penn State I had tickets to see Giancarlo Esposito at a free event on campus but it was cancelled because of the weather. A few months later Early 2014 they rescheduled the Esposito event at Penn State wasn’t able to go because I started working at a Walmart just a couple weeks in. Fast forward a year later, Met Giancarlo Esposito in March 2015, in Brooklyn, NY while spending the week in New York for a friend’s wedding. I saw him in nighttime on the street in Brooklyn just telling 15-20 hours earlier in the morning while packing up I was watching “school daze” beforehand and I told him this and he turned his head in amazement as brides uncle was able to take the picture on the streets of Brooklyn. What an experience and such a great man, to take a minute towards a picture out on the streets. Well deserve towards Giancarlo ‘s current success ✊🏾🙌🏾

Doom is not only Romani, but the leader of a European nation (Latveria). Much like Black Panther and Magneto, Doom’s ethnicity is a big part of who he is in the comics. Plus, I’m so tired of live action portrayals giving Doom an American accent!! Give Doom that scary European accent that he’s known for having!! I see him more as Sinister or Kang!

They don't have to do the Rawandan situation, he can simply be an African American (like he is) IN America, because he's about 60, and there's enough that's happened and still happens, to African Americans in the last 6 decades that could fuel Magneto's mindset.
Let's not pretend like America has been peaches and cream to African Americans the last 60 years.

Giancarlo never said he was the focus of the series! He could be a co lead or even an important secondary one! He also never said it was a character we haven't seen yet. I know it probably is, but reading into what he said doesn't help the narrative.

Who's more SINISTER than this man? I am shocked he wasn't even on the list, but you could absolutely make a great show that would essentially track the mutant saga and journey over 150 years more or less. I think his Nathaniel Essex would be incredible, his journey to becoming Mr Sinister would make for great television.

The WWII origin would get kind of odd nowadays. It would be powerful as always (and the fucking Nazis are on the rise in the world as we speak, which makes it topical) but I think we're getting too much time travel as it is and without it Magneto would be too old.

Mr. Sinister or Dracula, they could tease Mr Sinister in Deadpool and Wolverine, then have a series about either him or another Xmen member where he's the villain, or tease Dracula in Blade and then have him in a Midnight Son's series.

I would say Norman Osborn or The Leader. The leader would compliment his dialect and closely reflect how he is on the boys
The Leader is already coming back from The Incredible Hulk. He is gonna be in Captain Americe: Brave New World and is being played by the same actor Tim Blake Nelson.

Mr. Sinister would be perfect. Sinister is a geneticist who's been around since the 1800's. A series about Sinister could be used to introduce the mutants. It could be about Sinister doing genetic experiments over the last 150 years and proliferating the X-gene across the human population. He could discover how to activate the X-gene and cause an explosion in mutant population.
Also, Giancarlo would be a great Forge for an Angela Bassett Storm.

Esposito could be playing the male proper Silver Surfer. The female SS does not disclude him from being in the MCU and Giancarlo did say it would be an introduction and not what people expect. He's also got the same ethereal voice that Lawrence Fishburne's got and would fit lovely. Everybody's been calling Magneto or Professor X forever. Just a thought.
A show centered around Doctor Doom overthrowing the Kindom of Latveria. Now that would be awesome. And unique way to introduce and build up the next Big Bad of the MCU.

Would absolutely love Giancarlo as Mister Sinister!!! Giancarlo can pull off the whole extremely intelligent yet cold aspects of Mister Sinister to a T. As for the series, base it off of Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix where we see his original with the loss of his children, his wife dying in childbirth, and Apocalypse grooming him.
I dunno if it’s just me being salty about how the movies teased Mister Sinister to high heaven only for him to never be introduced, but Mister Sinister his long overdue for the big screen and Giancarlo would be phenomenal as him!!!
He would be a great Mephisto bring the horror genre to the MCU.

It's definitely not Mephisto or Man Thing, they have already been cast and Norman Osborne is own by Sony. I picture someone younger playing Bishop and Kang. I think it's either Mr Sinister or Dracula, if I had to pick a third choice, my third choice would be Blue Marvel.

Here’s the thing about Magneto, he’s still relevant in the comics. And being a victim of WWII is a core part of his character. I understand wanting to update his origin, but I’d like to counter and say that they could easily just say he has a secondary mutation that delays his aging. Comic book movies have introduced powers and abilities not laid out in the comics. I’m sure Giancarlo could still nail this role, but we can’t remove Magneto’s history. It’s too important to his identity.
yeah that "yeah why don't we just say they don't age?" thing is borderline cringe just to justify the origin.
I strongly agree that is core part of the character however as much as it is the integrity of the mutation just to say "oh they don't age" is well "lazy writing"
@@Meh-ru3ex well that’s the only way I see them being able to retain his origin and have him alive and well in the modern day. Otherwise they would need to do a period piece when he was still alive, and Fox already did that with First Class through Dark Phoenix. I don’t see them wanting to repeat the same actions as their predecessors.
They could potentially explain how his prolonged age has been a curse and he’s been forced to see the worst of humanity spanning decades. If it’s written well and executed well, people won’t care if it seems “lazy” at first glance.
If they recast Kang, I would rather see Denzel Washington or John Boyega play him.

Hunter’s Moon, the secondary Moon Knight that is magical based and is a nerd. Giancarlo would really fit being Dr. Badr and would be an unexpected role. And would have a fun rival-to-brothers dynamic with Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knights

While they could, of course, go Rob's way on a Magneto show - and could, maybe even should, be part of it - depending on where they are starting things with mutants really opens up some other possibilities. If Genosha is already established or being established it could center around that. Or it could center on smaller scale activities that he's done or does do that maybe aren't movie-level. Rewatching the old Animated series in to season 3 there's a lot of talk about how bad Magneto is - but not a lot of showing as a lot of it is off screen. We also had X-Men '97 that was just willing to blur some lines - do we perhaps see that transfer over? Instead of Magneto purely out for world domination as a method of ensuring mutant survival do they make it more his goal is the same as Xavier but his ideology and methods are different, and in so also bring in him with the brotherhood in which you kinda get in to 'Sons of Anarchy' or 'The Soprano's' where these people break the laws and are by no means good - but are the heroes of their story.

Total left field & would be unexpected as a lesser known character. But what if he played Jericho Drumm/Brother Voodoo? I loved those comics growing up. And it would tie in Dracula(for whenever Blade makes his debut) and it would tie in doc Strange, werewolf by night, new avengers(which The Initiative comes before dark reign and siege. Plus, we need a new Avengers team & it's post civil war, still in a sense) I couldn't see him killing that roll. Just a thought.
Who’s to say it has to be his own show or that it has to be live action? He may feature in someone else’s show. Osborne works because there’s a spiderman show coming soon.

4:29 I just don't buy that Magneto can't be Jewish anymore because being Holocaust survivor would make him too old. It assumes that Jewish community hasn't faced persecution other than the Holocaust. Instead of having Magento be a Holocaust survivor why not have him endured the 1967 Tripoli pogrom or the Lebanese Civil War?
