My LG Gram 13 laptop had this same problem with the hinges! Both screws fell out on the top right corner (as you see it upside-down) and one seems to have fallent out somewhere, but I found the other screw. The other hinge had one of the screws quite loose. The hinge started pushing out the corner of the bottom cover. Eventually the back cover got stuck open quite a bit, like 1/4 inch and the top would not fully close or open. I have not yet done the repair, but I also plan to put silicone grease on the hinge as it is pretty stiff.

I have this model and it just started smoking on me. I took it apart and determined it was a fried chip on the main board. Can you fix it? I guess a main board can be purchased from LG...Maybe?

Where is the cmos battery? I changed some settings and it won't boot. Is there a way to easily discharge the cmos battery?
