CSUSM Housing: Campus Living

Welcome to CSUSM Housing! Here is an overview of the information covered in this video:
Keys
-Residents are provided with keys when moving in.
-This may include metal keys, a key card, or key fob depending on the property.
-It’s important to keep your keys with you.
-If you forget your key in your room, or your key stops working, go to the front desk of your property if during business hours.
-For key concerns outside of business hours, call the Resident Advisor (RA) on Duty:
--QUAD = [phone]
--UVA = [phone]
--North Commons = [phone]
Guests and Doors
-Sharing keys is not permitted. Do not give your key, key card, or fob to any other person.
-Propping open gates or doors is not permitted.
-If you have a guest coming to visit, meet them by the property gate or door.
-You need to be with your guest at all times on housing property.
-Don't let people onto property that you don't know.
-Duty RAs check doors each evening to ensure locks are working properly. You'll get used to the sound of these door checks!
Amenities
-Fitness Room Hours:
--UVA = 10:00am - 10:00pm
--QUAD = 24 hours
-Pool Hours:
--UVA = 10:00am - 10:00pm
--QUAD = 10:00am - 10:00pm
-Every apartment has a corresponding mailbox. Every resident has their own key to their apartment's mailbox.
-Packages at the UVA can be picked up at the front desk.
-Packages at North Commons & the QUAD use the Parcel Pending system. More information will be provided in your move-in packet.
-Laundry facilities are available at all properties at no charge. Practice common courtesy. Pick up your clothes as soon as they are done.
