It's a massive undercount due to the very stringent documentation, nowhere else are the standards this high. They have to take the body to a medical facility, positive ID, cause of death before they enter it on the record as a combat related death. It doesn't count disease, pollution, starvation, lack of basic healthcare, missing, etc. Add the fact most of the medical facilities have been destroyed, makes counting even harder. There is something that stuck out for me in that nauseating story of Israeli soldiers with PTSD. First is the use of tractors in a war zone as if it's a normal practice of war. For example I have not heard of a single tractor being used in the war in Ukraine. I can't think of any other war where tractors are used. Second and more disturbing is the idea that hundreds of Palestinians were run over by these tractors, some of them alive. Think about it, people being run over by tractors is uncommon. And yet in Gaza its routine. It bothers me that some of these in your face atrocities have been so normalised in the west that when they happen, the reaction of Europeans is "Oh yeah people were run over by tractors; it's war" The morality and ethics of the west is in such a messed up place.
Not to contradict the point, but there was a few news stories from Ukraine about tractors being used to haul off Russian Tanks, but the point still stands, it's not a normal practice in a pitched conflict.

Warsaw Ghetto is a very apt comparison, since just like Israel is doing to Gaza, the Germans deployed extremely heavy, destructive 2000 pound bombs. Except the Germans fired theirs out Karl-Gerät super-heavy mortar vehicles instead of dropping them from jet bombers. There were only 6 Karl-Gerät vehicles in existence, and they were extremely cumbersome weapons. Israel, on the other hand, has hundreds of planes capable of carrying 2000 pound bombs, allowing them to drop them anywhere in rapid succession far more efficiently than the Germans of the 1940’s could even dream about.

There is something that stuck out for me in that nauseating story of Israeli soldiers with PTSD.
First is the use of tractors in a war zone as if it's a normal practice of war. For example I have not heard of a single tractor being used in the war in Ukraine. I can't think of any other war where tractors are used.
Second and more disturbing is the idea that hundreds of Palestinians were run over by these tractors, some of them alive.
Think about it, people being run over by tractors is uncommon. And yet in Gaza its routine.
It bothers me that some of these in your face atrocities have been so normalised in the west that when they happen, the reaction of Europeans is "Oh yeah people were run over by tractors; it's war"

The last straw for me with H3 was that they NEVER acknowledged the amount of devastation and life lost in Gaza, but Ethan will complain for multiple hours, in multiple episodes, about how some fringe Hasan fans have given him hate. He frames this entire situation around himself and his feelings, when a true reason as to why people are mad is that he has mostly ignored the actual GENOCIDE and extermination. Plus, the person he decides to keep taking pot shots at is one of the only huge creators giving proper coverage to the situation in Gaza.
