This video is incredible. Next level editing and narration. I just finished rewatching some Anthony Bourdain and it was the perfect transition 🔥
He sadly finished doing tv so I'm doing my very low budget version. Thanks for watching!
This is hands down the best single piece on Saigon! I've seen and experienced the country, thinking about returning for a longer period of time, so I've looked through many expat videos, but this sends it out of the ball park. Great narrative, love the diversity of the guests and the edditing! A proper docu. Thank you!
Thank you for appreciating the hard work. I was just telling an expat friend here in Saigon yesterday that I sat on these interviews and this footage for over a year before I cut and posted the video. I wanted to have the right perspective and experience on the ground before putting it out there. I'm glad it landed!
@@FollowBrando It sure did, you did an amazing job putting it together. From my perspective could easily qualify for TV content.
Easily my favorite video of yours so far. Absolute 🔥 - making me want to head to Saigon now!
Asif! I'll see you over there brother. If you got a taste of Saigon and Bangkok, I don't think you would ever go home.
In a few months your channel will have many followers and most likely you can live out of it, but you are honestly giving us quality content, thanks for that.
That's the dream - to build the channel with quality content and make a living off of it. For now the compliments like yours are payment enough!
Wow, such a great docu. I am 22 student from germany and live here since 1 month because i do my exchange semester here and i made so many great memories already. Like i got hugged by kids in the street which were interested where i came from and everyone is so supportive and nice.
I hope i can get as much as possible out of my time here!
Thanks for the compliment. And soak it all in while you are there. You'll miss the place when you are gone!
Nice content and amazing editing.. gives those "VICE" video vibes. Can't believe you 3K subscribers.. all the best!
This time last year I had about 150 subscribers so I'm getting there. But as long as my content is finding people like you who appreciate it I will keep going. Thank you for the comment and stay tuned!
This guys channel is so underrated. INCREDIBLY put together mini documentary. Narration was spot on as well
@brianwright7635 Thanks man. Until it becomes a functional job for me, the comments like yours keep it going!
High Quality Documentary right here Kudos to you
Thanks for recognizing the work! It was my favorite city to visit so far so I gave the video some love.
Absolutely remarkable story telling. Thank you for sharing your journey. ♥
Thanks for noticing. The experience was pretty great so I put quite a bit of effort into the video to capture it.
I see you're putting your reality editing skills to good use. I've never been to Kim's Tavern or Bar 22 before but have had a few beers at the The Office. Always open to new experiences.
Legit so good.... motivating and inspiring of a better future for VN
I'm staying in VN to be a part of it. Thank you for the comment - it keeps the channel going.
Such good quality my friend. Bless your ❤
Great place. Great stories worth telling. Thanks again!
Always love your video. When are you coming back to visit Vietnam again?
Thank you! I will be back in a month or two.

He and Bill are my faves at 7 Bridges. I was there first two weeks this month. Fucking TIME OF MY LIFE!!!!
I can't wait to move out there.
Within a year, I will be moved out.
Yeah I'm doing the same. After spending a year in Saigon I'm sold. I'll probably see you out at one of the popular expat haunts.@@voldem0rt
Dope documentary Brando!!
Thanks brother! See you on the other side of the world...
Great to meet you today mate!
Hey hey, enjoy the rest of the trip here with the family. And the new timepiece!
such a good vid Brando. I think Im headed to Manila in the fall.
Thanks brother! Some friends of mine are buying a villa near Angeles City, Philippines. I will be visiting there frequently.
Fun fact: I watch your videos like editing lessons. You really need a production channel asap please. And just keep the mention of hookers and drugs off of it and you'll get more views I think. 😂 I think you could focus not just on editing, but niche down to documentary style production/scripting/storytelling/editing. That seems to be what you do professionally. Any part of that would be awesome for us to learn for many types of videos. Do you know any good channels like this for now? Btw I love that type of cut you do to transition directly from B Roll to A Roll to end an intro. Don't recall that anywhere else. Also, I had to find that No Cap song from this video's intro. I think I have to pay a new subscription to use it but oh well. Gotta have it for some intros.
That's the comment of the week for sure. Send me an email through the contact form I put on my blog followbrando.com and I'll help you out with my advice on editing.
@@FollowBrando Beautiful. Thank you!!
Hahah that dope I’m hcm now and yeah I know that street by sagion center 😎
Say hello to Kim and the girls!
I need to take notes on how you vlog, narrate and edit.
@Lecarson92 I work as a reality tv editor and producer and sometimes I put all of my tv magic into the videos. Parts Unknown is a great show to watch for the narration and editing, it's the kind of content I'm trying to make with my limited budget (my paycheck) and crew (just me).
@@FollowBrandoI love parts I know and.. the best ever food show review.. the fact that you do it yourself is crazy
@@Lecarson92 I shot this Saigon video over the course of a year and it took quite some time to edit. A few of the girls at the bar were my camera assistants on some days so I had a bit of (very attractive) help haha.
Can you live there on usa 4275.00 a month
For sure. Budget $700 for rent (you can find a place cheaper but to be on the safe side) $500/month on food (more than enough if you aren't eating at nice restaurants frequently) $65/month on transpo (grab rides around town and bus tickets to the beach) and $10/month for your sim card. You have $3000/month left for whatever I left out.
So you like Sai Gon better than Colombia? I’m from Viet Nam but hesitate to go to Colombia coz I don’t wanna get robbed at gun point there. Lol
@khoiusa I'm headed back to Vietnam and Thailand. Colombia is cool but you've got to stress out all of the time about getting robbed, pickpocketed, drugged or kidnapped.
@@FollowBrandoI hear you. You can get 90 day visas for Vietnam now.
I'm waiting on my 90-day visa approval now...@@khoiusa
@@FollowBrandooh good luck with that!
Damm u really travel so 🇻🇳 your favorite in south East Asian . I been here 10 day. And it giving Thailand and Philippines an run for there money 😎 hahaha
Saigon is my favorite city out of those that I traveled to so far. Other cities in Vietnam are cool to visit but I may end up living in Saigon full time. You can't beat Bangkok for dirty fun tho.
@@FollowBrando yeah legal weed hahaha lot tourtist and open minded Bangkok I actually like the Philippines but maybe cus I'm Latino and everybody speak English aka so American over there 😉 easy for gringo but HCM super affordable and good food too.
@@elperro3056 yeah way better food in Vietnam than probably anywhere I've been in the world. And the women are prettier!
chào anh tây😛
Chào Em ơi!
Your videos are beautiful and very professional. You deserve 100k subs.🙏@@FollowBrando
@@joanfelix8362 I'm working on it - thank you for noticing!
