@@someguynamedelan Or in American Dad when he gives a beautiful epilogue to the metaphor of a butterfly dying in a jar full of farts lol. He’s like David Lynch, where it’s rare they’re in stuff but when you hear their voice you go “holy shit it’s Werner Herzog”
Werner was actually 2 when the war ended, it's a good thing he wasn't a grown man yet as he could have won Germany the war by just using the mesmerizing qualities of his voice.
The episode just (right now) runs here in germany and I immediately recognised Werner Herzog ^^. Of course here in germany we have a fully dubbed version, but he did both synchros.
Never could get into The Simpsons, but it when I heard Werner Herzog say that he was bad enough to be on that show, I wanted to see what they did with him. It was okay, I guess.
We have extracted that drug in MY land! *Nothing new here.* I usually put several drops of it in each batch of our Pinoqachole liqueur which has been fermented from the over-ripe fruit that drops from our Upanishad trees during each Bhagivagita season. Those rich silly people in Europe and America go crazy over our Pinoqachole liqueur. We hope to amp up its production soon, providing that more trees can be fertilized, by using the effluent from my faithful water-buffalo "Steve".
1:15 Herzog can't quite say "synthesized" - I used to know this German girl who said The Smiths were called Die Schmidts in Germany, because people struggled to say "th."
Hi im from Germany. Werner herzog said the word ausgezeichnet in this video. Burns' excellent are dubbed as ausgezeichnet in the German dub, and it's a very uncommon word
That’s a different episode I think albeit one with a very similar concept. In that one lisa develops a similar by herself from some flowers she finds in the desert on a school field trip. I agree though, definitely not a fan of that episode.
I was wondering if it was me that's changed, but I think it's the show. I haven't watched a new episode in at least 12 years and picked one at random on Disney plus. It was unwatchable.
I love how game he is to do weird eclectic cameos in stuff. Like he just does them because they make no sense and we love him for it.
Theomite I loved his cameo in Rick and Morty, just talking about dicks.
Herzog's sense of humor is really underrated imo
Theomite Ikr he’s down to cameo in some of the weirdest shit

The German Patrick Stewart
Werner Herzog canonically being Augustus Gloop is fucking hilarious lmfao
The jokes are really hit and miss. If they were all as good as the one about 'how many Germans are saying that these days', the show would be golden.
The show WAS golden
@@TheDRODOR 10 years before this episode it was still pretty good...
Was thinking the same thing, that was a damn good joke I must admit.
De Jure Claims your god is a fucking lie
They are SCOTTISH, sir!
I recognize the accent.

Werner is single-handedly carrying this episode.
LOL "robots can develop human feelings, im a graduate of Arizona State." wow gut buster.
Werner really *does* do everything well!
Naturally! I have been told that he is a graduate of Arizona State University.
And the same class that Sheriff Joe Arpagio grated from.
"Gentlemen, we have been doing a lot of funny things today, but now I must be scary"
- Werner, right after he explains the synopsis of his new film idea and right before he takes his audience into the jungle to inspect The Boat
Most awesome thing about this? He does his own voice in the german version too :P
it would also be strange if another German dubbed the voice of a German 😂
@@mrz8185 Schwarzenegger doesn't do his own dubbing in German because many people felt his Austrian accent made him sound like a peasant
Bounty hunting is a complicated profession.
God dammit thought I was first on that.
It is not, sir.
Have you ever watched a Bollywood crime movie?
You would then know better, and stop issuing foolish remarks..
WW2...i wasn't born yet. Funny how many Germans say that nowadays. MY SIDES :).
I love how Lenny and Carl get upset when he says Lisa is irrelevant. Shows they really are Homer's best friends.
I love Werner Herzog's voice!!!!!!

As a UA alum, I can assure you all that the ASU joke is EXTREMELY accurate.
love his voice
2:41 Best part of the episode.
Such a shame Herzog didn't get his cameo before The Simpsons went down the bog.
I love how I got a pharmaceutical ad on this video.
Wasn't even aware anymore that the Simpsons were that explicit about criticizing big business.
Damn those suitcase susies sure are ausgezeichnet !
Werner Herzog on chicken. XD
I Can't believe he was on here

Such a great voice. Suitcase Susies!
Werner Herzog......The best that Germany has to offer

"Can I offer you a libation to celebrate the closing of our shared narrative?"
No you may not.
Mr. Herzog learned his diction when he visited Scotland's Loch Ness and filmed that monster.
"Prison, in America?...its a retirement home."
The sound at the start of the video has reduced my hearing by 95%
Und ich griff erst gar nicht ein, weil Kinski im Vergleich zu anderen Ausbrüchen eher milde gestimmt war.

Herzog's a great sport.
Never underestimate the NSDAP toddler unit!! 🤣🤣
Feeling your fingers too much and tasting music would be very interesting
The "QUIET!" got me
1:15 Herzog can't quite say "synthesized" - I used to know this German girl who said The Smiths were called Die Schmidts in Germany, because people struggled to say "th."
But it _is_ a really difficult sound compared to the others. (I'm also German though.)
Schmidt is an old German name. But the English cant pronounce the ü, ö, and the german Ch.
english developed later than german, so ur comment should be upside down
@@miclazy-5m ...It's not like German stopped developing at some point 😑
Pretty sure she made that up 😬

not for me. i say ausgezeichnet all the time.
Walter Wait a minute sir, before you continue talking about rare words from the German language. Where were you in the WAR? 😠
Diego Graciano during the war? But i wasn't born yet back then
Better than gezeichnet for life.
Ausgezeichnet ist doch nicht selten😂
He’s actually in 2 other episodes
Hits different during COVID.
The tübe! Mein gott, the tube!
so i wasn´t wrong???? it was really Werner herzog(s voice) in german (and englisch). - watch his film/documentary about the acient cave....
Simpsons need to work on their consistency
2:05 I wish I can have a tail like that
Everything just sounds so life less and quiet,i don't how impact full background music was in previous seasons but this just feels dead.
QUIET
Really unbelieveable Werner Herzogish.
Why do the east-friseans always shit their pants whilst shopping?
Because the sign at the door of the shop says: "Press!"
but Herzog was born in 1942
Demond Wilson but not thw pharmaceutic-guy
true, but there was no toddler army.
or was there?
Wo ist der Klaus?
cute enough

This is my current lest favorite episode of the Simpsons! I think it must be everyone's eyes popping out.

Every time I hear Werner Herzog's voice in something I can only hear Christoph Waltz.
Their Voices sound completly different!
He actually sounds like Giorgio Moroder
It's their accents not voices
6020e3 my thoughts exactly!!! Especially the way he says synthesize
it's almost as if they had the same mother tongue
