Thank you, no with the transportation options out here (with the exception of Uber/Lyft) you can get ANYWHERE within a reasonable amount of time... thanks 🙏🏽 for watching
I am currently planning a trip for me and my wife to visit California for the first time. Thanks for helping us have a better vacation when we go. Your video is greatly appreciated.
Thank you 😊 🙏🏽 so much Anna! Motivates me to keep going. And Absolutely(!) I will. For the mean time check out this link that will help if you’re wanting something quickly www.taptogo.net/ & Vendor Locations: www.taptogo.net/TAPLocator2
If you stay in Culver City you are pretty central and can get to the places you need to go to. Skip Hollywood Blvd and go to the Academy Museum instead.
I’m glad it was useful. Thank you 🙏🏽 so much for taking time to watch... I have more video I’m working on... if you have any ideas or something that would interest you let me know 😁
I'll visit California in August. Coming from Europe and having lived in Asia for many years I'm familiar with perfect public transport. Thanks to you I'm not afraid to travel in LA using public transport for American standards 🤣
Quickest option is Uber/Lyft. If that’s not an option - Combo Redline to Hollywood/Highland exit, then a short bus ride (or walk towards in and out on sunset) and order an Uber from there (saves big then Ordering Uber from Tourist area)
There are screens and audio announcements. Each station also has a large sign, so you can compare the station name to where you want to go on the map posted in each cabin to know how many stops away you are.
Apologies for the late reply. Don’t believe you can buy it at LAX but if you take the free shuttles to the Green Station you can buy them at the Kiosk there
Ill be staying in Inglewood wanting to go to the chinese theatre for a bit then over to the pier. Should I take buses and the metro or uber or lyft? I tried finding you on ig but I cant find your account
Because Inglewood is a bit far off from Hollywood (relatively) if time is an issue take Lyft (usually a bit cheaper than Uber) but if you want to not pay that much, take the metro 🚇 right now it’s still free here. But from Inglewood those lines can be a bit “messy”
@@JorgeLopezMedia he can take the Metrolink too, but depending on where and when hes going, there will be a future light rail line extending from van nuys orange line station to the Sylmar-San Fernando station in 2028
I'm a new Yorker live in my moms home town in Goldsboro NC but we had recently we had public buses but I do walk alot to get to Wayne comm. college. I really love to walk down to the highway to get to school by foot but I usually take the bus to take me anywhere.e, but I really need a car license because I be moving to cali for doing flimmaking and doing recording technicians. Yes sometimes I walk I don't need much of a car to drive from LACC( Vermont st.)to my new apartment in main street. But I care for taking a shuttle subways. I was wayvh other first ye in l.a. one black guy said don't take buses they get too hasty and complicated. I rather take the bus, but not when I take out my money when I go to the bank, I can get rob faster.i hear that people wears disguises just to get you gipped on it. I try to get the shuttle at the subway to vine street or hollywood.i will think this is new York, I'm from there. So thank you.
bus drivers dont give out transfers anymore! instead if your transfering between metro buses and trains except the silver line u get unlimited free transfers for 2 hours as long as your going one way. if your transferring from metro to another agency their is a 50 cent up charge and if your transferring from metro to silver line their is a 75 cent up charge. these do not include express buses like the santa clarita commuter express busses from north hollywood to santa clarita
Thank you for bring that up, I’ve never taken up as far as Santa Clarita. Only staying within the main LA basin. I believe I did mention the 75 cent charge to jump on the Silver to places like Long Beach 🏖 👍🏽
LA public transport has never looked so good. So very well shot. Although I still feel LA trains and buses go nowhere and are highly impractical. Or may not be so only if you live super close to your work. Anyway... great video. Subscribing for sure 🙂👍
On time my ass. The train eta's are always changing and many times you have no idea of when to expect them to.arrive. And be prepared to just keep your head down and try not to make eye contact with some of the crazies that frequently ride the Metro Be especially careful when riding the Red, Purple and Blue lines. Also be very aware of your surroundings at night at places like Unon Station or any stops on the lines I mentioned above. There are a lot of unsavory people around and security is mostly non-existent.
I have been to the city countless times and stood there for weeks, and never once drove. Although the options are limited now, public transit has gotten better and to this day, they are continuing to expand the train system and build more stations. The only idiots that ASSUME that you cant get around LA without a car are those that dont, or rarely take public transit
I always imagined you’d need a car in LA, this video is great!

Thank you so much! I am going to watch your biking video now
From downtown la what best way to get to west Hollywood. Also what are some good Michelin star restaurants y'all will recommend. Preferably sushi 🍣

You should make a video on Metro Micro. It launched recently.
Very cool. Will have to check it out and research. Thanks for the idea
@@JorgeLopezMedia It's basically a rideshare service except it only serves limited areas and it is MUUUUCH cheaper at only $1 per ride.
Oh, that’s cool
video start at 2:08
How do you know when to get off your stop for the rail?
There are screens and audio announcements. Each station also has a large sign, so you can compare the station name to where you want to go on the map posted in each cabin to know how many stops away you are.
How does the park and ride work??
Is the J line Elmonte covered in the 7 day pass?
Great vid, thanks!! No fluff, straight to the point :)

I would travel with a toddler, does anyone know how I can ride Uber or Lyft in LA without carrying a car seat with me?
Very informational my guy
so no need to tap off with metro stations
Very helpful thank you Jorge 😊 🙏
I didn't think public transport was that bad in la they shouldn't have destroyed streetcars after Olympics but overall it's reasonable
Yea I agree. Although I thought I read (a couple years ago) that they were thinking of bringing that back in the “Broadway” area

Great video , thank you !
hey im moving to the san fernando area, is there a metro or train that goes that north? thanks!
Sorry about the late reply, no unfortunately there isn’t. Only Amtrak goes that far north from LA on rail

Sometime in the next few years there will be :)
