In the wee hours before my neighbor awoke I would seed the bushes under the window of my young daughter’s room - where he had been spotted peeking in her window. I called it ‘land mine operations.’ I knew his wife was an immaculate housekeeper and that this could potentially cause hell to raise if this lady found ‘evidence’ on her spotless carpets. This same guy used to tell us that his family was probably going to disappear (without us) in the coming rapture. So I also added a very tiny note in my daughter’s window: “If you can read this, you’re going to miss the rapture.”

I'm against stealing/damaging anybody's yard sign regardless of political side. It's stealing and it's really bad character. I wouldn't trust or want to associate myself with people like this because they will always self-righteously justify their wrongful actions. These thieves want the right to express their political support, but don't want to afford those with different views the same right. Perhaps if they are that triggered by a yard sign or a differing viewpoint, they would be better off seeking mental help so that they an live a more satisfying and productive life.
