- When a person moves to New York City, they are considered a transplant. And a transplant goes through a unique growth experience. Based on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, we present “A New Yorker’s Hierarchy.” In this video, we will talk about the different levels of needs that a New Yorker must fulfill to gain self-actualization.

I’m finally moving to NYC next week! Thanks for all your amazing videos. They really help me understand the city, and this video is just what I needed before moving.
That's so exciting! And summer is almost here so it's a great time for city adventures. Good luck and happy moving! 🍀
My fav city lol good luck 👍
Love your channel, i have found it essential for the past couple of months. Recently moved to nyc for a new job with the mta as a rail inspector and this channel has helped me so much with all the info on the city and transportation, THANK YOU!!
Thank you! So happy to hear that this channel is fulfilling its mission to help transplant. I'll try my best to continue to be relevant.

Oh no! I hope you get well soon. And glad to hear you still had a good time.
It may be a TMI topic. I'm sure some people wanna know the best way to find bathrooms in NYC
Lol, actually I did think about that as a video topic.
I knew I liked your sense of humor, but this one is tops! Keep amazing yourself.
Thanks! 🙌
This is great. Your videos always make me smile. Thank you!
That's so nice of you to say! You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Thank you 😊
Your videos are always so epic
242 big liked 👍 Let's Go Mets! ⚾️ 1:19 Been a Mets fan since 1962! I was 5 years 8 months old when the Mets started their first season from 1962
Haha at first I thought this is Thea's video essay about how her move to NYC has shaped her
Loved the video 😂
Loved it! One of my favorites :D Nega-Thea and Nega-cat need to come back! Also, what happens to those who reach self-actualization and don't leave? Nirvana/Heaven in NYC?
Haha 😂 Lucky people!
Thank you so much for your videos! Moving to Upper East Side for work 🥳!!!
Good luck on your move! I hope you have a blast living in that area.
Hopefully, one day ❤
Baby steps! Thank you for Nega-Cat and this epic knowledge
Glad you like it! 🐈🐈⬛
Great video! Very funny
Thanks! 😃
wear black.. love it!
Makes doing laundry easier too!
that ending!!
Loved the vid especially as I recently made the decision to go to college in nyc. Any suggestions on maximizing your student status in nyc? Got any date spot suggestions?
P.s. I’ve been binging all the of your videos in preparation for next school year. They’re all really great
Congratulations on college! 👏 The city is filled with discounts and perks for students. I'm pretty sure they'll cover that during your orientation. Or you can go to your school's student affairs office to ask about city perks as a student. In general, you can get discounted tickets to movies, live entertainment (like broadways and symphonies), sports events, museums etc. And when you are shopping, always ask for student discounts. Some food places around Washington Sq will also offer discounts. As for date spots, well, the whole city is a date spot. 😅 Have a fun time!
I didn't know there are tunnels around Times Square, nor have I seen any YT streamers talk about them. Maybe that could be another information video project for you, in the future.
Thanks! There are a handful of them that are easily missed.
I’m interested too. I like to people watch in Times Square but when I have ti get somewhere I hate tourists.
People don't end up in NYC by accident. All of them want to achieve more and want more.
"Life is like this. And I like this" - Harvey Specter. This quote and scene in "Suits" sum it up.
Speaking of free museums, maybe you can do a video about having a Public Library card to get a museum pass, or the Bank of America: Museums on us program
Oh my gosh, I remember that show. I never heard of the Bank of America program. I know there's ID NYC but I'm not sure how affected the program was due to the pandemic. Thanks! These programs are worth looking into.
But what’s a ‘regular’ coffee to a New Yorker?
A regular coffee in NY is basically coffee with some milk and sugar.
Didn't know you were into pyramid schemes 🤨, I did love that ending.
So, where are you in that pyramid?
Good question. Depends on the day I guess 🤔
Uhh Mets and black ? Shake shack and 311? I a life long new Yorker and don't like any of that .
a transplant will never be a real new yorker wtmm
