I was experimenting with Cubase and ended up with this. It's a remix of the Mephiles boss theme from Sonic 06. Not bad for a first try. What do you think?
This song was the best remix I've heard. It would sound alot better and scary if Mephiles bwould be luaghing at the very end of the song. Just when you think it's over, you hear him laugh. That would give you chills

@DawnMidnight2 yeah...i used to get really frightening nightmares that i was a Sonic character, and Shadow was with me. we were running, going as fast as we could, but we couldn't seem to go fast enough. because Mephiles was chasing us, and we could hear him laughing, getting closer every minute. Shadow was pulling me by the arm, his skates almost overheating, but it was all to no avail. Mephiles would suddenly shoot Shadow, and then he'd aim right at me...then i woke up screaming.
I love it! There's just one thing... Is there a way I could get a version of this song without the laugh at 2:05? Or do I have to make a crappy edit? :P
@DawnMidnight2 Well, I did once. i was at a friend's and we were playing Sonic 06, and she was stuck on the second Mephiles battle in Shadow's story. she told me the controls and i had a go at it, surprisingly i did quite well, but it was either the music that creeped me out or the way Mephiles just shouts "Drown in darkness!" like that. plus it was really late at night. either way, the same night i had the nightmare for the first time, and it continued for about two weeks afterwards :(
I think Mephiles AND Silver should be used in newer games. Silver just hasn't been used much and Mephiles would make an awesome come back. It would be interesting to see what he would look like with the normal Sonic modeling.

Ok here's my theory of future villains in the Sonic games since Eggman and Robotinik are stuck in the void forever. 1) Mepiles 2) Scourge 3) Iblis, Dark Gaia, and Chaos mixed. 4) Ligh Gaia (Chip from Sonic Unleashed) Possesed and 5) Darkaloria (just fan made)

Ok Mephiles is never coming back here's why: after the events of Sonic '06 (the final boss) Sonic and Elise go back and Sonic makes Elise blow out the candle which causes time to erase everything that happened in that game! Which means, they never met Silver, the never ran into Mephiles and Sonic and Elise never met either. Which is why we haven't seen Silver or Mephiles in a major Sonic The Hedgehog game ever since!!
***** Maybe the Time Eater was able to pluck Silver out from the alternate future somehow? At any rate, he's seen at Sonic's birthday party at the end of the game so I guess he got saved from the bad future and is now in the present...
I expected that in sonic generations but nope just the stupid time eater I mean that game set mephiles perfectly in that game but no it will be a while I can't wait till it happens he was one of the better villians of Sonic games

Mephiles had a lot of potential to be a great villain. Too bad the writing in 06 made him come off as such a dumbass. But hey, at least his theme and look was cool.
He was actually very good and was more unbeatable than anything, he’s the best sonic villain in my opinion and is severely underrated if you ask me, the dude is threatening, he gives me chills more than the final hazard, he’s scarier than eggman, he’s more threatening than chaos, he’s everything infinite couldn’t be, he’s the ultimate villain
