They had to beat him in all three time periods. Shadow in the past because he's a product of the past. Sonic in the present because he is living in the present day. And Silver in the future because he's from the future. They needed their combined powers to defeat him in all three time spectrums at once in order to keep him from just living on. It's only with their combined powers and his defeat in every Past, Present, and Future timeline that he is weakened enough to be finished off for good.
Individually, none of them can even come close to defeating him alone. Solaris is way too powerful for that. Even in the boss fight, he only needs at most 5 hits to down you
@@iam4026 Talk to the manual which stated that Sonic had the power/strength to defeat Solaris, Solaris is powerful but he is practically the only “worthy opponent” according to shadow. Sonic simply had the help of shadow and silver to beat Solaris *faster*. Solaris isn’t gonna stay there and let Sonic kill him, he was going to destroy everything in existence until there is literally nothing left. Which is why Sonic wanted to kill him faster. Hell in the manual it was stated that during the battle Solaris already destroyed a couple of timelines.

Solaris in this fight already consumed TIMELINES. If it weren’t for the three hedgehogs time itself would be gone. The moon is a planetary threat, Solaris is Multi universal

Anyone else surprised he actually let Eggman say his speech in Phase 1 and used Silver to ACTUALLY inflict damage during on Solaris in phase 2?
