I would be surprised if SEGA took this game down.
But they're surprisingly supportive of their fanbase.
Nintendo however...

+Served Justice SEGA, or really Sonic Team, has made quality stuff, but it's just a bit obsolete that PC fan developers can turn a rushed product into this.

It's a nostalgic pleasure to me, I'll always go back and check on it every now and then to challenge myself with the bugs. Wave Ocean always takes me back...

SEGA needs to release an update Sonic 06 to fix the Bugs and remake some more Cutscenes into CGI. It would make the Game so much better.
TBH, I really wish it was good. No glitches, no freakishly looking eggmans, and no nonsense. This would be the 2nd best sonic game.

If it's going to be a port with no glitches.
Then the game will still be bad, no matter what.
Sonic 06 problems are not just the glitches.
The game has terrible controls, bad level design, horrible and big empty hub worlds, bad story, horrible missions that you're forced to do in order to continue the story, a terrible start before you get into the first levels, Shadow buttom mashy combat system, vehicles with shadow that are not fun to play, every extra playable character is not fun to play due to their horrible moveset, and A LOT more.
Removing glitches will not make this gmae good, 06 needs a full remake in order to become AT LEAST decent.

The level design is good. There are multiple ways to finish one level. Even in this video you can see that at 7:30 Coban found another path to the gold ring.
The story is fine honestly. A bit boring but tries, really hard, to be engaging overall. The kiss scene just comes out of nowhere but it's honestly inoffensive.
Yeah hub worlds and vehicles should be improved.
All games have missions that need to be completed to proceed, if you find them boring then that's more subjective then anything.
Overall I think if the game is polished and "fixed " then it'll be a fine/ fun experience.
its a good game just unfinished. the levels are great when they flow correctly.
