Wildfires moving closer to Jasper

Officials say a pair of wildfires threatening the Jasper townsite are moving closer and some structures around the town have been burned. As Sean Amato reports, there is rain in the forecast, but also worries it won't be enough. #Jasper #abfire

I can't believe it's the new normal these days, 15 years ago in Calgary the summer of smoke was non existent!!! Now it's 2 months of smoke every year.

We are extremely sorry for the loss of life & property in Jasper, Canada. As we are also in crucial problems with Public & Govt. yet we are deeply shocked at the sceneries of burning houses & forests. Trained professionals? It takes all of a week of training to work on a fire. Anyone who has ever worked in fire camps knows its a massive expenditure for little to no results. People don't put out forest fires, only mother nature can do that.

@@manisharora8496 I almost caused a fire one time while camping. A strong wind can catch a nearby grass and spread real quick. Luckly I put it out with my sweater.
