    Glad you covered that click sound from the foot board hitting due to factory settings. It helped me quickly readjust mine and it will be going for a drive tomorrow morning.

      @@jackstubbington387 You make a good point, although I don't know if that's actually a design flaw or if the initial settings that get it in the box are intended to be changed once set up for actual use.. It may well be a design flaw, but I'm too in love with way the pedal plays with my settings to imply it :) #fulldisclosure

      @@jackstubbington387 I've been eyeing that one as well, perhaps as backup. Killer price point on that.

    I have a 1974 Roger's Strata Blue pearl 5 piece set with vintage 21, 23, Zylgian stamped ride cymbals from the 50s and 70s. also stamped 14 inch hI hats and 10 inch splash Zylgians also 70s vintage. Snare is a chrome over brass Dyna Sonic 500. amazing sounding drums and cymbals that I bought new and have been playing almost 50 years on.

      forgot to add all my hardware on my Roger's are original including swivel o matic bass pedal with leather strap instead of chain drive.

    Rogers does make a strap that comes with a cam. It is very easy to swap out the chain with the strap that gives the pedal a very different feel.

    I played the old school swervomatic for close to fourth years!!! Loved it! The biggest weakness was the leather strap!! I had like ten spares!

    I got mine about a month ago. this thing is so sensitive that I can make notes by curling my big toe. It is too sensitive for an electronic kit.

    Does Rogers make a dual pedal to run two base pedals and the extension bar between them

    • @CoverBandDrummer
      @CoverBandDrummer  2 года назад

      It does not appear so, after checking their website.

    The new Rogers drums and hardware are fantastic, but I've seen one of these pedals up close, and they're not the best for practicality or gigging. Tama came out with their classic pedal before this pedal came out, and its practically the same type of pedal. This pedal was made for the die hard fans of the vintage Rogers pedals who want something a little more durable with today's technological advances..

    • @CoverBandDrummer
      @CoverBandDrummer  Год назад +3

      It's definitely designed for Rogers enthusiasts, and other than the swivel function of the old Swiv-o-matic, it definitely is high on the nostalgia meter. I don't agree about the practicality of it though. I've upgraded mine to the strap drive since this video was made and even bought a second one, because I'm so much happier than I was with my Ludwig Atlas Pro pedals.

    looks like a single post camco pedal witch i am a big fan of

    • @CoverBandDrummer
      @CoverBandDrummer  4 года назад

      I think that's a pretty good description of the thing. A bit more versatile than the Camco, but a similar feel. Well done!

    Does the rod of the beater have standard diameter? Could you stick it on any other bass drum pedal like a Tama Speed Cobra for instance?

    • @CoverBandDrummer
      @CoverBandDrummer  5 лет назад +1

      Don't have an Speed Cobra to compare unfortunately, BUT the pedal itself does also accommodate a beater from a Ludwig Atlas Pro with ease, so it appears that the Rogers beater is standard size.

    A shame they do not have one piece footboard. Made in China junk. Go vintage pre CBS.

      Wow, it's a bummer if you've had a bad experience with these. But I must say, I have two of these now, which I've been playing in all manner of situations for 4 years now without any issues. Keeping my fingers crossed!
