If I saved a dog and that dog would give birth to puppies one year later, I wouldn't have the expectations of being worshipped by their babies who had no direct connection with me whatsoever. If we look at the butterfly effect then a huge amount of unrelated things are actually indirectly related. So no, I am not going to worship Jesus just like I am not going to worship some random man from Cuba that went to the bathroom at exactly 3:43pm and somehow that's the reason my parents have met.

The craziest thing I ever experienced in this regard is when i worked as a delivery driver for a company that delivers drinks to restaurants and bars. I was in the car with my boss. I had left my phone in the store and he had his with him. During the drive we came across a big selfstorage facility and talked about it. When we came back to the store I looked at my phone during the break and got like 3 ads for selfstorage facilities, including the one we drove by. The only phone that was present during our drive was his. Im assuming this works via proximity data where our phones are already known to be close to each other thus creating a connection.
Nah it's probably because Google maps knows when you visit places like this. Like every so often it asks me to rate a completely random restaurant that I went to, even though I never used Google maps to specifically get there.

@@iliagluhchev2821 We have Big Data platforms, and I'm sure they could use machine learning to interpret massive amounts of data. It's not very expensive to do this, either. To put it into perspective, Amazon Web Services S3 is priced at 0.023 USD per GB billed monthly. Alibaba Cloud is comparable to Amazon Web Services and is absolutely massive (and cheap).
Also, there's a variety of reasons you'd want this kind of data. I'm familiar with the ethical reasons (not including microphone/clipboard data), but I could speculate that it's used for Chinese government advantage over the US (and other countries). I'm not a conspiracy theorist, only guessing how it could be used unethically. There are undoubtedly political implications.
It's worth noting that Chinese corporations have a much tighter relationship with their government than the US (which is saying something). The company that owns TikTok (ByteDance) is also extremely profitable (over 20 billion USD revenue). They also have subsidiaries and a clear interest in AI/Machine Learning, which explains their immense amount of analytics.
Well I guess it’s time to update my iOS because I want to know if other apps are doing that. I deleted Tik Tok months ago but there could be other apps and data mining is not my kink.
