This is flight 3 of 4 from my trip last summer to NYC and the Caribbean. This was an amazing trip and I enjoyed every second of it (especially those spent on aircraft :)).
This is the landing video for my JetBlue flight (1682) to New York from the lovely St Lucia. After around 4 hours in flight, we began our descent toward New York’s Kennedy International Airport, better known as JFK. After making a right turn, following the New Jersey coast north east toward Long Island, making landfall just to the east of Long Beach. After making a left hand 180 degrees turn over Huntingdon, north of Hempstead, we lined up for a 22L approach.
It is at this point the video begins.
We extended our flaps gradually and eventually lowered the gear for landing. Touching down nice and smooth on Runway 22L. One of the best sounds (in my opinion) followed touchdown, the whale 🐳 sound of this Airbus A321neo’s PW engines. I absolutely love this sound! It almost makes up for the less frequent “barking dog” PTU unit on the ground. Overall a really cool landing experience, including the taxi to Terminal 5, passing a wide variety of different aircraft.
As I mentioned in my previous JetBlue videos, I think that they are a great airline, and would recommend them to anyone!
