I use to fly USAir in the service. They offered the best Military Discount
I miss USAir.
I see those oceanfront condos and I immediately think of $49 each way round trip, and meal service was included.
Meal service that included real utensils. Oh, and you could check all the bags you wanted, no charge. Not to mention the fact that you were not subject to intense security and interrogation. How time, and terrorist attacks change things.
Braniff. Eastern. Pan Am. TWA. US Airways. The list keeps growing. Who will be next?
I miss USAir. Wonderful airline! Flew them to Europe from Philadelphia and they were great!
I do too. I cringed when American Airlines bought them. AA could screw up a cup of coffee.
Always got me where I was going safely!
All American->Allegheny->USAir->US Airways->American
They should have kept the name Allegheny. It was unique and had a ring to it, despite its regional connotation.
I agree. It has a certain mystique to it.
Discount fares....two words that no longer exist in the airline industry.
US air was great! my wife in the navy got bounced over night on a military flight Philli to Norfolk. Man they made it good !!! Free flight for Navy husband Norfolk to Seattle THEY WERE GOLDEN sure miss em.
I MISS MY USAir!!!😩😩😩
Allegheny....another legacy carrier that is all but forgotten.
Unfortunately
Still
Allegheny
In
Reality
(Why
Alter
Your
Signs)
And at 3:13, they take a jab at their future merger partner/parent company/sister airline
I'm from Pittsburgh and I miss usair
The best time to have gotten hired as a flight attendant or pilot wud have been 1978,79 tbru 1985, imagine how fast your seniority wud have risen
I can hear the groans from the audience now....
USe-less Air was what I called it. My gosh, what puffery! I loved Piedmont, and even Allegheny was okay.
US Air (US Airways) gone forever, 1939-2015
no its still around...its AA that is gone
@@gaguy1967 Correct. Like SBC buying out AT&T and taking over the name, US Airways bought American Airlines then assumed their name.
Where would this have been played?
That would appear to be Paul Anthony narrating this, wouldn't it?
+Ian Sherman Never heard of him.
+EricEbac22 He's a famous DC area TV personality-he started out as a weekend weatherman on WRC-TV/4, and then graduated to being the announcer on "Washington Week (in Review)" on PBS, among other things.
Why S Their Music From Superman In This?
US Air begins with U 😊
good old agony airlines
Don't forget U S scare
From AGHONY to USCAIR
Hahahaha. Outlived Agony.
damn how cheap can they be, would it kill them to have a motion picture of this promo?
Agony became US Scare
LOL
And here comes the worst of the worst US Air, Scare Air. Allegheny was always known as Agony Air and their dreaded BAE-111’s were really a bad aircraft, unreliable, uncomfortable
Cheesy ad!
I always thought the names "US AIR" was just awful and "Republic" was even worse. It really was the beginning of the end.
All agony then to US Scare. Piedmont should have acquired them and showed them how to run an airline.
