I have a question, I used an inch tape to measure my height and mine turned out to be 172cm. Am i taller than 172 or not because over the net it says that the inch is usually inaccurate and measures you shorter than what you actually are ? Am i more than 172cm then ?
I needed this because my boyfriend coming to see me and he 5’11 and I’m 5’5 and In my head I thought we was finna be eye to eye even though that doesn’t make any sense 😂😂😂😂

I am solid 5’9 I been this height since about 15 so almost freshman year and in 5th I was like I think 5’0-5’1 so I was pretty sure back then I shot up 8.5 inches so i had a massive growth spurt so I tend slouch a bit because I am less conscious of my height.

The difference between 5’5 1/2 vs 5’8 isn’t even that much but it’s quite noticeable though. From my perspective I think you being 5’11 your much taller then your gf who stands at 5’5 1/2 like you said and the difference looks quite big from you then your other friend who’s 5’8.

I was walking with my family in the city and there is this cool event going on and I saw 3 girls throughout it who were stunningly beautiful but were super tall- taller than me. “5’5” 165-166cms is indeed short for a guy. For a woman it’s average and not short at all. But “5’6” is considered high average bc it’s only an inch or two above average for a woman or girls. For a guy the average height is 175cms “5’9” or “5’10” 178cms.

It's called being simply too tall for optimal life quality. Tall people develop kyphosis, lordosis and scoliosis. I would never want to be that tall. I'm 5'11 and 6'1 is the max I would want to be. I'm 6'0 in shoes.

It’s okay “5’5” is not that bad it’s like 165-166cms and it’s very short for a guy. Ik there is nothing you can do about it but I’ll tell you something exciting about being short king yourself. So when you are short it’s easier to get stronger at the gym and you can eat less and get big. You can also weigh less and look bigger. When your a tall dude like me who’s currently “6’6.5”-6’7”and I have a hard time trying to fill up my taller frame. It’s because when you are tall you have long arms and limbs and longer body so that’s why it’s a bit difficult looking bigger like shorter guys. The good news is when your short you have shorter arms and limbs and it’s easier to pack muscle without any difficulties. So I hope this helps you not lose confidence or hope but once you try this you’ll see some results if you’re dedicated enough for it but once you do it will help you.

“5’5” 165-166cms is indeed short for a guy. For a woman it’s average and not short at all. But “5’6” is considered high average bc it’s only an inch or two above average for a woman or girls. For a guy the average height is 175cms “5’9” or “5’10” 178cms.

It's called being simply too tall for optimal life quality. Tall people develop kyphosis, lordosis and scoliosis. I would never want to be that tall. I'm 5'11 and 6'1 is the max I would want to be. I'm 6'0 in shoes.
@kowald ski 6'3 is too tall. This is the edge when your health gets under risk for various diseases and your life span starts to decrease.
5'11 is already tall enough to enjoy EVERYTHING a human can do. 6'1 is the edge of the "sweet spot" which is anywhere from 5'10 to 6'1. Still above average and tall, but not too tall.
@kowald ski Nope. Statistics clearly confirm that. How often do you see a 80 year old grandpa over 6'0?... I can't remember seeing any in that age. I saw plenty of 6'0-6'3 people from 20 to 60 years old. But nobody over 6'0 who was 80 or close to it. Never.
The tallest grandpa I ever saw was like 6'0. He was 6'3 in his prime years.

I'm 5'11. My old age height would be around 5'9. The more you exercise and live a healthy life style, the later you will start to shrink. I will hold my 5'11 as long as possible. Maybe i'll just be 5'10 with 80 years old. Still an excellent height for being a grandpa.

@@dannyg8327 True, I have claimed 6'1 here and there and people wouldn't bat on eye lid, I normally just go by my absolute low(6') just for consistency, I would say 5'11 is borderline tall. Also depends what country you are in, in western Europe and north America 5'11 is borderline but if you go to Northern Europe 5'11 is very average, even worse if you go to the Dinaric alps region 5'11 would be below average (average height in this region is about 186cm) :o

5'5 and i hate it
It’s okay “5’5” is not that bad it’s like 165-166cms and it’s very short for a guy. Ik there is nothing you can do about it but I’ll tell you something exciting about being short king yourself. So when you are short it’s easier to get stronger at the gym and you can eat less and get big. You can also weigh less and look bigger. When your a tall dude like me who’s currently “6’6.5”-6’7”and I have a hard time trying to fill up my taller frame. It’s because when you are tall you have long arms and limbs and longer body so that’s why it’s a bit difficult looking bigger like shorter guys. The good news is when your short you have shorter arms and limbs and it’s easier to pack muscle without any difficulties. So I hope this helps you not lose confidence or hope but once you try this you’ll see some results if you’re dedicated enough for it but once you do it will help you.
