Excellent lads. Good job!
Great sound and great for PETERBOROUGH- keep up the good work
wow amazing choir and Musical Director!! Lovely to listen to:-)
Just to say mouthing words being unprofessional is only a matter of opinion and not always a widely held one. Some of the best conductors I have worked with mouth words to keep ensemble and orchestra together. The late Leonard Bernstein, one of America's foremost conductors and composers, mouthed words to his even when they knew it. Check out other conductors too - they do it with very professional and established ensembles. The conductor does what is necessary to keep the ensemble together and he does it the way he needs to and in a way the ensemble will understand. Quite frankly, his back his also to the audience. Excellent work gentlemen and CONDUCTOR!
Beautiful!.
Great to see this again!
great sound - good job boys
@samuelbarber19
Given that this was the first perfomance for the Sing for Heroes choir (in black), a bit of mouthing can perhaps be forgiven. They did indeed sound extrememly professional and it was a tremendous concert.
@samuelbarber19 Thanks for the appreciation. It was a fun performance to be a part of.
I see that they sneaked in Jimmy Somerville at 3:03 for the big finish....!

VALJEAN
God on high
Hear my prayer
In my need
You have always been there
He is young
He's afraid
Let him rest
Heaven blessed.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.
He's like the son I might have known
If God had granted me a son.
The summers die
One by one
How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone.
Bring him peace
Bring him joy
He is young
He is only a boy
You can take
You can give
Let him be
Let him live
If I die, let me die
Let him live
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.
A little too fast at the a tempo (b 37) I feel. It was faster than the original tempo and felt rushed. Otherwise a lovely rendition.
Slow
Then begin
The Cornish did this better
YES YOU ARE SO RIGHT, IT IS VERY AMATURISH THING TO DO AND MOST DISCONCERTING TO SIT AND WATCH.
wow! sounds amazing =] could be a little slower though...
HAHAHAHA! First of all. The director's back is to the audience, so the audience would not be paying any attention to his mouth. What is distracting about mouthing words anyhow.? It just proves that the director really knows the music, and loves it. Watch a video of John Williams conducting. He mouths the music as well. Many great conductors/directors d the same. It is very narrow minded to size a choir and director by such a ruler.
@samuelbarber19 Wow. Picky, picky.
