Is your recording audio off it sound muffled very compared to the actual sounds? A good thing you got an easy layer though, when logi can get a AA gun up it's just a slaughterhouse , only time I ever dipped in triple figure kills. A guilty schadenfreude as a HE shell lands on a opening landing craft and you see the bits fly from over 600m away.
Simply renaming and adding more factions isn't gonna revive this game. The main problems with it in the first place had to do with insanely long walk times, immense map size, and dead lobbies. This game needs a redo before attempting to revive it.

Vast majority of men didn’t even make it out of the boats without being killed or wounded. My grandfather personally chose to go over the side of his boat with his squad leader about 10 seconds before the operator dropped the gate. Only 6 men from his craft were alive after they took the beach
i just HOPE they dont make the supression as shitty as regular squad, the new supression system is so game breaking its to realistic that its not enjoyable, but still some people enjoy barely seeing anything while fighting.
That was very bad compared to HLL. Getting off the beach in HLL is intense. You’re never getting off the beach and behind the bunker without combat in HLL. Not happening, you would have been killed 15 times ,at least, trying that. Also the map quality is trash.
They need to remove the canteen mechanic from the game... It's absolutely useless from an immersion pov. Just fix the stamina to fit the games maps where you dont need to drink out of a canteen under enemy fire so you can sprint better.
@@monkian you can have stamina systems without that. Even squad does it better. The canteen isn't keeping any of that from happening, it's literally just some "immersion" factor that was added which actually just takes you out of the immersion.
@@Asti223 Squad current system is garbage, your guy is like an asthmatic pensioner, no immersion there. The canteen puts an extra risk for legging it everywhere which just standing still with your weapon still out does not confer.
@@Asti223 drinking enough water will increase your stamina recovery, the key is to not start drinking when your stamina is alrdy depleted you start drinking when your stamina drops below 50 percent, you can also drink when u are at 100 Percent if u have to traverse an open field ; so if you have to constantly drink under enemy fire you are doing smth wrong

Some mechanics are more realistic, sure, but a lot of it just removes immersion rather than adding it.

The redeeming qualities of a mil sim like this is found by investing your time into it and experiencing the battle from beginning to end. The intensity of combat is like a crescendo as it feels extremely realistic after a lot of downtime in between. The pay off is worth it. That being said, I absolutely love the instant fun and gratification of Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 1, no doubt. Both types of games have their place, but mil sims like Squad 44 are definitely more difficult to get into initially and it requires more time, which is why such games will never be as popular as more arcadey shooters like Battlefield and more so Cod. I think when VR becomes mainstream, that will change. Milsims will become significantly more popular. Squad 44 is truly perfect for VR. That's it's destiny.

No , it does it job so you cannot just sprint around the map or run and gun effectivly as your aim gets worse the less stamina you have.
