Then the store added a donut area to the ice cream part - I,love both items as thought it would be horrible! After a few days of looking at all that ice cream and donuts I couldn’t eat any of it for a long time! I've worked in the kitchen and didn't interact with customers, partly because the other baker and I went to work at closing time. But I so understand. 😊
Right?! I mean I don't have a food allergy so maybe I'm just ignorant and insensitive, but since when does one need to be emotionally "ready" to be told they have a food allergy?😂😂😂

Washing meat has a purpose, but only in very particular cases. It’s only needed if the meat is bloody, has bile on it, or still has dirty skin/feathers on. The proper way to do it is to fill a pot with water, soak the meat in it, then boil the water so it’s safe to dump without cross-contamination. I sometimes have to do this for fish after filleting them myself because I’m not an expert and make a mistakes. If you buy from a butcher, it almost certainly was prepared in such a way that it’s not needed (either had the offending part cut off or it was cleaned before sale).
@@joshuaspector8182 True! I just felt that it was worth commenting with how many comments are about how you should never wash meat, which I think shows how few people actually know much about butchering.

@@Aromantic_alien its called bread soda specifically in ireland. because of soda bread. they do it by combining baking soda/bread soda with acid like buttermilk to leaven the bread without yeast. and since it was started in ireland, soda bread probably came first and then they started to call it bread soda because of soda bread.
@@PrimePalYTFrom my understanding, soda bread indeed has an older history in Ireland than yeast bread. Although, they used to use either wood ash or limestone because of the sodium carbonate content rather than the modern powdered sodium bicarbonate baking soda.
"When he's ready?" Ma'am if you don't tell him now he's gonna be dead before he's "ready." As someone with a severe peanut allergy, this really gets me. This is necessary medical information, ma'am. Your child is ready to know this as soon as they understand language. This is genuinely child endangerment. Wtf.
Really? Perhaps if it might come directly from the local sausage maker??? At one time we were told to wash chicken and turkey - not any more as it does actually spread germs all over the sink and kitchen!
Hi Alice. I hope some of the things you hear as a baker is that you are sweet as a button and it is impressive that such a young baker already owns her own bakery business. You are grand!
That last proposal actually happened to us. The offer too good to refuse came from a previous employer. "You put the name of my restaurant on your pizza and sandwich business, keep making your usual good stuff, especially that good sandwich bread, pay your running costs and payroll, and I get 10% of your profit." Um, no.
Hey friend. You have a very sweet and calming voice. Could you please possibly make a 1hr compilation of these so I can watch it while to unwind and sleep.
I know that's just supposed to be a sweet compliment, but I still had to laugh pretty hard. The whole point of buying fresh pastries in a bakery instead of packaged ones in a supermarket is that they are fresh and don't contain dozends of additives that help them maintain the feeble illusion of being fresh over weeks. A fresh baked pastry that was shipped internationally, even as urgent airplane freight, would arrive stale. Not to mention that the shipping price would likely be more than ten times the price of the product.
I just found your channel. I have to say at first I thought you were a transplant from Europe and opened a bakery here in the United States. Then I found out you are in Ireland. It seems that American stupidity has infected your fine country. I'm from America and this is the kind of stupidity small business owners have to deal with here!! Congrats on owning a bakery, it's extremely hard work. Wish I could sample some of your baked goods!! Keep the videos coming when you have the time!!
Stupid customers are everywhere in the EU for a long time. But we still don't have your "Karen of Walmart" - the one who wants to sue for no reason (notice that the Karens in the video fromscratchbakery just want a refund, not sue), shout and are agressive.
The last one is even more abnormal than the mom who doesn't care about his son potentially getting in hospital for month because of her lack of braincells.

Assuming you survived it, you would have every right to press charges. It is considered assault in most places.
The audacity of that Karen who didn't tell her son that he is allergic to apples.
Like he’s gotta know early on in life
How has he not had apple other times? Apple juice is a pretty common base in a lot of drinks
But blamed the baker for not knowing about his allergy!

The mother has only two options, and sadly she'll go with the second, which is telling her kid that the evil baker lady poisoned him.
