    LIFESAVER! I got this machine last month and the instructions were rubbish. I broke the needle within half an hour but now I have a handle on how to use it. Thank you x

    I’d love to know if this is a good machine. I’ve had terrible luck and this time I just want reliable! Will I need to buy accessories or does it come with everything a beginner needs? Thanks folks ❤

    Great video, thank you!
    One part I’m still not to clear on is the bobbin. You say make sure you put it in the right way, but I can’t tell for sure If im doing it like you. When I try to pull the thread it won’t move at all, so im definitely doing something wrong. Any other tips ?

    How do you have only one thread after discharging it?

  • @skincare613
    @skincare613 3 года назад

    My feeder dog are just movie up & down, instead of slight circular motion to pull fabric, so it just not pulling my fabric forward, just stitching on one spot, or, I've to pull fabric from back to make stitching happen. What shld have do.

    Can you buy an overlock or overedge foot for this sewing machine to do overlock stitches?

    • @AbisDen
      @AbisDen  Год назад

      Look for any snap on overcast foot , doesn’t have to be janome brand

    Thank you for the video, I’m not sure but I’m seem to have an extra piece where the bobbin goes, it’s like another casing and I really have no idea how to put it back as the instructions are pretty vague.

    • @AbisDen
      @AbisDen  Год назад +1

      Glad it helped could you explain a bit more about this piece? Is it the casing inside the machine, a moon shaped piece?

    • @tjaysilver
      @tjaysilver Год назад

      @@AbisDen I’ve sorted it now but yes it was the complete piece that I had mistakenly taken out. For a basic machine it works well.

    It looks exactly like the John Lewis machine you made a video on, just not blue! Wonder if Janome make that model for them

    • @AbisDen
      @AbisDen  4 года назад +3

      Jake Alan ooh, well spotted. Yes they do. Janome make for John Lewis, Dunelm, Hobbycraft and other names, Necchi, Bernina and more. The sewing machine industry is a monopoly owned more or or less by the two cartels, Janome and Brother

      Any thread works. But nothing that looks fuzzy or dry. I’d look for a 90 twist

    Hi Abi, so glad I’ve found you! And hope you can answer me as it’s a recent video. Thanks for great videos! I’ve got a very similar Janome, the 2032, and it’s in a sulk and won’t stitch stretch fabric at all! I’ve cleaned it, tried a jersey needle, Gutermann, I’ve tried a walking foot, and Zig zag or triple stitch, but it just won’t pick up the lower thread with jersey. If on zig zag it’s usually the left side that misses most, but nothing’s all there. . I’ve checked the timing, looks ok (thanks for that video)but no luck. Checked the manual, all set up and threaded correctly. My machine works ok for cottons, just not with this fairly substantial jersey. Have you any ideas please? Thanks so much!
    I’m trying to make masks with an inner layer of sheet weight cotton poplin and an outer polyester spandex layer, and use the jersey for ties and binding too. So in places that’s just zigzagging folded jersey, and in others it’s one layer of poplin, one of jersey, and encasing the edges in jersey binding, so three layers of jersey. Also tried double poplin plus jersey bindings. Nothing works! Need to get them done! I do hope there’s some stupid oversight and you can say “it’s this!” Thanks Abi

      Hi Bella, if you're using a stretch needle and this still happens, you can try stretch thread or maybe your timing is slightly off. It doesn't take much for that to happen unfortunately. Machines won't sew if not timed properly. I hope you've managed to get it sorted. I receive a lot of comments plus with work and a busy family, I may miss a chance to respond promptly, best wishes
