I used databricks on a project when I was contracting for Airbus. I also worked with the Cloudera solution. Databricks is really not that good tbh. The simplicity it offers is a two edge sword, as you really have no real control over the cluster and the datalake, making it really hard to do serious data engineering on it
Hermoso video, me hubiese gustado que tocases más la historia de Spark. Es interesante la historia detrás de esa herramienta, sobre todo cuando nos remontamos a Google File System.
I have recently started using Community Edition for learning purpose and I am not able to create Cluster since yesterday. Last time I remember it took around 30 minutes to create a Cluster, afterwards the Cluster is not creating even though after an hour. Is there any limit for Community Edition version? or it is just a Down Time? I am from India 🇮🇳 btw
Wonderful video. Engaging and interesting. I frowned at one point around the 4 minute mark when listing the investors. The animation was out of sync with the narration, which seems a bit "off". Just my 2 cents!
Have you heard of Databricks?

And in all this video, you never actually explained WHAT IS DATABRICKS?
He did, at 1:27
So what is Databricks? Apart from general marketing stuff ...
Highly valuable tool to bridge the gap between datawarehouses and datalakes.
A vendor neutral, cloud data platform.
@@NicholasAllen1 ok Boomer... Dude srsly? Either your on the peak of the dunning Kruger curve or haven't been paying attention ...
Thanks for the video
So Data engineers owe Ali Ghodsi big time ;) Kudos to you Ali Ghodsi
Wait.. so what are data bricks??
So, what’s the difference between data rocks and azure databricks
Dave Patterson is Jean Luc Picard.

Very busy visuals and not much information on the platform itself. I guess it's called how it happened, but the title misled me here.
Love the content
Thanks for checking us out 😁
5 minutes and 21 seconds of not answering the question
*Databricks is kinda like a Pied Piper from HBO's Silicon valley*
Interesting way of putting it!

Why you guys never consider making introductions simple and dummies friendly!!!!
Do you think they could be simpler?
@@HowItHappened much simpler!
What a waste of time. I mean, if you wanted to know what databricks are.
The video was a waste of time!
