Some spring skiing in Delirium Dive at Sunshine Village. I finally got this line ticked off although the very variable snow made parts of it a little tricky.
I did that exact drop without slowing down in 1999 without knowing the magnitude of the drop. Luckily there was 35 cm of fresh powder in the landing. I couldn't slow down after the landing until i reached the bottom. Felt like I was riding at 100km/h. Almost shit my pants.
Thanks and yeah i was really nervous - I had dislocated my shoulder a few weeks before and was worried it was going to pop out again on the flat landing.
DD is not that difficult, especially if you ski at a pace you are comfortable with. If you can ski the trees on the left or right side of the Goats eye chair lift, you can ski DD.
im going to have to try that cliff after seeing this done i have one qustion how was the landing did ur knees hurt after or ankles? and what was the snow like?
Oh dude, that's brutal, sorry to hear. Even on a good snow year you have to take off quite a bit higher than you think. From below it looks like you can take off lower and snipe the tranny but every time I've hit it I've had to air from higher and land on a flatter bit below the tranny.
Yikes, good to know! When I got to it, there was a bit of a spike down the centre of the launch I had to clear that I was not ready to attempt haha. Was hoping to slide off it kinda like in this video. I’ll definitely be trying again in future seasons, hoping with more snow
Mikey Hall, I inadvertently deleted my reply to you. You are entirely right. I hope you have decades skiing ahead of you, and that you continue to post these videos to your family and friends. You have entirely changed my attitude to this wonderful sport. This is my 55th season, may be my last, and you have made me realise that being too critical of myself and others just makes me an old goof.
Dude that drop at the end was siiick! I initially thought your entry was a bit weak, but I take it all back👍🏻👍🏻

Wow congrats! That last drop was awesome man!
I did this about 11 years ago. Brings back memories but it was hard packed ice at the top
Wow! Great video!
This is amazing...
Good job Mikey. Fine skiing son.
I like the one bent pole.. I have exactly the same bend on mine haha
Skied like a champ!
You made that shit look easy! I'd never even consider going, just looking at the warnings made me nervous! Awesome!

Wow.
Is there a video from the other cameras?
nice
meanwhile i need to work up the courage to ride the chairlift that doesn't have a bar XD
I found out the hard way today that this line only goes on big snow years. Launch is all rock right now. Exhausting hike out of there

The line was very good but we have noticed that you are quite anxious shortly before you are drop the cliff :) But big respect that you did it ;)
Can we just stop and take notice of the skiers shorts at 2:47 LOL
Zapraszam na jazdy ekstremalne na przyszły rok. Kondycja wskazana. Wychodzimy z założenia co nas nie zabije to nas wzmocni.

Thanks for your gracious turnaround - I hope you have some good days out there this season, and that this one is not your last.
I had a great reply too. Maybe our paths will cross and we can make some turns together.
i only do blacks lol
Nothing stupid about filming yourself skiing over rocks, in fact its truly heroic..🙄
