I think I need to get one of those pallet busters. I've given up collecting pallets I find. Perhaps that will change my mind. Yes, breaking down pallets is, as you put it, a nightmare.
That is some good design, nice tools. Many years ago (on the farm), we had a nail puller called a cat's paw. With it and a claw hammer, I pulled nails out with ease, even ones without a head. Again, great design.
Hi John, yes the v is for nail pulling but it only works when you can get the feet to each side, lower than the nail. So it's okay for nails in pallet wood but not much else. Please remember to subscribe to my channel and check out a few of my other videos for more great tool reviews and DIY tips. Cheers, Ian.
I've got one of those breaker bars can't remember what brand it is but looks the same. They are good especially on cement pallets with the skids they pop them apart in no time.
Yes, these tools make busting up those annoying pallets so much easier. I wonder if in years to come. People will look at them and wonder what they were used for.
I've seen those and they look great for de-nailing. When I get an air compressor, I think I'll definitley get an air locker. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just what I was looking for, great

It saves a lot of hard work and keeps most lengths from splitting. When you consider the price of timber, it's a money saver in the long run!

Cats paws are great tools. A bit on the small side for a pallet but great for general nail removal. The small ones fit nicely in tool belts.
New tool day! Always good!
Love a new tool. Just don’t have the space to store them!
@@essentialhandyman I know that feeling!
Very useful tool that Ian Thanks for Sharing mate it’s nice to see you doing a bit🤣👍
Running out of space Ben. Gonna have to start some serious organising soon. Perhaps even actually making some stuff!
looking forward to that Ian 🤣👍
Isn't that little V shaped whole in the middle of the pallet buster for removing nails?

I don't think I know what cement oallets and the skids are. Got a link to what you mean?
Do both sides first and then middle. If you do across, the last side will just raise the whole board.
Thanks for the advice Joe. I'll give that a go when I break my next lot of pallets down.Cheers.
Great review thanks for your honesty and time. And remember#stay safe and make. 🍺🍺👍👍😷
Thanks for your comment.
the Roughneck Pallet Buster is also available from Screwfix for £28. I agree, it’s a great tool!

I didn't know you could buy these, Interesting 🛠👍😊*
Nor did I until about 3 months ago. It seems there's a never ending supply of new tools to spend my hard earned dosh on.
