      yes it's important to know these things, so you won't be completely blind sided once you get out into the field.!! Some people like to make it all seem glamorous when it takes time to get to that point!

    i am 18 year old guy and hair is such an interest for me, i love it so much and i love how hair can express so much about you.
    But at the same time i am not super confident, i am scared i won’t be good at it, or i won’t make any money at all, it’s scary. I don’t want to just go into school and then be terrible at it yanno? but it is a passion of mine.

    • @drivenblkgrl
      @drivenblkgrl  4 года назад +27

      If it’s a passion pursue it. Once you go to Cosmetology school and practice you will become more confident over time. It really does take time it’s some things I used to not be confident with but the more I did it the more confident I became. This is the best time to pursue it because you are still young. 💕

      I had a guy in my cosmetology class for a little while and let me tell you all the clients loved and favored him. Women seem to love having a man in their hair a lot. So maybe you’ll have that same luck.

    baby let me tell you something....even when the economy is going through that phase, successful stylist aren't affected at all....because people will get their hair done, hair cut even if it's just to keep their job or keep from being depressed. So perhaps if a stylist/barber is affected by the shift in the economy, then they need to improve and have a steady clientele that is constantly increasing so that if one or a few clients can't afford it at the moment, they'll still have that cycle of clients generating

    This very much eased my mind. I am a cosmetology student and am about to graduate. I had a coworker at my job who was a former stylist and she dug into me about how I will never be financially stable and will have to be dependent the rest of my life. The anxiety I have had since that experience is unbelievable. I understand it’s difficult and I’ve prepared fully for that but I also know I have a very impressive work ethic. Thank you for making this video it’s extremely helpful.

    I agree wholeheartedly! The money should be crazy good, but I can’t say there’s a consistent stream or flow. Like you said it ebbs and flows. When I question if my body can withstand the rigors of success, a quiet calm follows for a week or so...and I catch my breath. Thank you Lord, it’s always enough. But I have shed tears of joy for finding a good dollar menu! That’s why we have to help those just coming up...we’ve been there!
