I was absolutely BLESSED by the horror gods last week. I went thrifting with my 16 year old daughter and one of our fave thrift shops was shutting down, so they had 90% off. I managed to get Rise The Newsflesh Series by Mira Grant, which is 4 books in 1, and We Used to Live Here for $3.25. $3.25 for both. $1.25 for the series and $2 for a book that is less than 6 months old!!!!! I was grinning like an absolute loon for hours
Girl same! I was loving Incidents Around the House it was giving 10 out of 10 creepy and disturbing until the last page where the entire book exploded in diarrhea.
I have been so committed to the reading of Ritchie and Eddie having crushes on each other since I was myself a preteen that my gay ass cried in the movie theater during IT: Part Two when the movie just.... actually acknowledged that, lol.
Well, now my Goodreads is full of the books you just recommended 😆 Thank you! I'm almost always scared to read horror books, but hearing you talk about them just made me excited! I love your video style 🥰
Almost finished with The Good House. So good! The book hooked me from the beginning! 😊 Definitely going to read some of your the recommendations before spooky season is over!
I am not the Sam that voice messaged you, but I am indeed a Samm, and I LOVED We Used to Live Here. My favorite read of 2024 along with Incidents Around the House.
The way your review of We Used to live here became about Charlie being hot 😂. Btw your accent in your Beneath the stairs review is your Moira Rose accent 😂😂❤
I definitely have The Return and Blood Cruise and The September House on my TBR. I loved Spitehouse and The Ruins they were so good.I loved the book ,It definitely recommend people read it.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! 'Incidents Around the House' audiobook was spectacular. I devoured it! I completely agree the book until the pinnacle is phenomenal and the end just pisses me off. Still so so worth the read, but ggrrrr I just wish it was just that 2% better.
I honestly still think of Other Mommy, though I read Daphne after and for some reason my mind crafted this wild theory about the two characters being the same. Also I want a shirt for that bar in IT that is basically a gay bar because I just was shocked that was never mentioned in an adaptation.
Recently read an except of The Ruins, which convinced me to put it on my TBR. Stephen King's It was a beauty, but I never liked the sentimental epilog - I found it excessive IMO - but apart from the epilog, the book was riveting.
Slew Foot is racist towards indigenous people. There's a review by ShaelinWrites (recent reads #45 the good the bad and the ugly) where they read a passage from the book showing just how racist it is.

I simply cannot do eyeball horror. Gives me goosebumps just saying it
Other mommy is such a common horror trope lol i dont think i can do it again, i fear.
I gave The Cabin at the End of the World 1 star and Incident Around the house a 2 star. But I gave We Used to Live Here 4 stars!
Stop 😅😅😅... My friend HATES THE RUINS. IT'S LIKE A TOPIC OF CONVERSATION constantly for us😂
Cabin at the End of the World gave me anxiety diarrhea 😅
Liked We Used to Live Here, but only gave me a few chapters. Would like to finish this book.
Old Country is a legit genuinely scary book. I wish we had more horror books of this calibre.
I have to read it lol I feel compelled by the synopsis and vibes
EARRINGS ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
I honestly still think of Other Mommy, though I read Daphne after and for some reason my mind crafted this wild theory about the two characters being the same. Also I want a shirt for that bar in IT that is basically a gay bar because I just was shocked that was never mentioned in an adaptation.
You should read A Simple Plan by Scott Smith :) We Used to Live Here - loved it!
Recently read an except of The Ruins, which convinced me to put it on my TBR.
Stephen King's It was a beauty, but I never liked the sentimental epilog - I found it excessive IMO - but apart from the epilog, the book was riveting.
I finished incidents yesterday and I agree, I loved it but then ending confused me so much I felt like I had to google ending explained Reddit
Okay I know you're on the fence about it but I'm about 40% into Lucy Undying and in really enjoying it. It is gay!
