This is the first time I actually have delved into DID. And the more I get to learn about it, the more I see how strong all of you are. I struggle with my college roommates, I can't even fathom the idea of having to share everyday 24/7 each day of the year. You are awesome. Thank you for letting me understand all of you somehow via videos. Thanks to you I am sure I will be able to help or be there for someone who I love that is going through something similar. Thank you!
That part were she was talking about respecting boundaries even with work colleagues, couldn't help but think about he-who-must-not-be-named. If only he watched this video and took this advice on board!! Boundaries!
I would add that if you're witnessing your partner dealing with rough situations like flashbacks or any kind of self harm, that it's really important for you to get some professional support for yourself as well, to help you maintain healthy boundaries and take care of yourself too. Witnessing someone's trauma can actually potentially cause secondary trauma so it's really important that you know yourself and your own triggers as well and that you have support for yourself too. Being intimately involved with someone dealing with such serious challenges means you really have to take care of yourself to be able to be there for them and to make sure your relationship is mutual and healthy and that you're not getting hurt or burnt out by the intensity that can come with that.
@@tayacushenberry take care of yourself. You matter and your feelings matter. You're allowed to not understand or to be hurt. You come first or you can't help your partner or build your relationship. Take care.
What if one alter very much dislikes the significant other? What if 1 alter wants to date another specific person that isn't the hosts significant other? (Assuming everyone/the significant other isn't comfortable with a "poly relationship") What happens when one alter dislikes or is angry with another alter?? How is conflict handled between alters? Would your system want your significant other to sit down with your therapist one day to learn? (About your system, the disorder, how to engage properly etc) What if the alter that is in the relationship hasn't fronted in a while (I guess multiple days or so) and the significant other wants to see them again? Are they able to ask the alters that have been fronting lately where a specific alter is/how they're doing/if they can come front? Hello to Nin at the end! Thanks for popping in😆💗
Every system is different, but I have experience with larger systems and what I can say is respect for each individual's boundaries should go above everything else. With that in mind, I also think poly is more or less mandatory to respect the rights of individuals in a system where different alters want different people. In my experience, if I'm missing an alter, like I haven't seen them in a minute and I want to, I may ask whoever is fronting if they've seen/heard from x, but I never go beyond that. As far as inner system conflict goes, you can certainly talk to an alter as if you were a friend giving advice, but you shouldn't tell them what to do. Anything beyond that should be dealt with a therapist
"Would your system want your significant other to sit down with your therapist one day to learn? (About your system, the disorder, how to engage properly etc)" Just a note that most of this wouldn't be possible, as client confidentiality is paramount to therapists and they wouldn't share anything about your significant other with you. The only thing you could perhaps do is get an overview of DID in general, or book a session with the same therapist to discuss your own experience and feelings. :)

I tried dating a system before. I learned all about DID from this channel and it really impressed the system. Unfortunately long distance was too much for the system but this channel helped me so much in understanding DID and the system I was dating at the time. The system agreed to only date one person at a time so I knew I was dating the system. The system I was dating didn’t want to be overwhelmed by dating many at once.
I wish I would’ve seen this when I was dating a system 😭 Things would’ve been soooo much easier for me and them as well and maybe we would’ve stayed together longer. However we’re close friends now and your videos helped me so much to understand their situation and what they might be going through! You answered questions I could never put in words and I’m grateful for that.
This video is so important for everyone to see. Because even if you never meet someone with DID, some of these topics also apply to people with other mental health problems, and how to communicate best with them.
Ah, that's what it is. I've been thinking for a really long time about why Sally acts so strangely familiar to me, and now yes! Disney princess, totally! What happens if you’re dating one alter and they integrate with another alter during the relationship, are you basically going back to asking a new person out, or could the relationship possibly still be going on, but different?
I guess I'm just trying to rap my head around the alters having their own lives. Mel said they would have to fall in love with me, I would need to propose, and get married to each of them in our own way, but today Chloe is out. How do I make her fall in love with me if she ignores me all day? 😅🙏

@@yuioptao well, but mental illness and neuro-divergency are a little different. I'm not informed in the field, but i thought adhd for example is not something you develop but rather something you've always had
since ADHD is something you are born with, I don't think an alter can "develop" that disorder, same with dyslexia I believe. But things that can develop during life I think those can work
Thank you Thank you for this video! Thank you for your caring and courage you exude in all of your videos🙂 I commend you all for sharing your research, personal experience, and passion, educating people about this disorder. Much love and care💜❤💜 Thank You!!

You know you're a true DissociaDID fan if you don't need the person fronting to introduce themselves at the beginning of every video. Sally has such a soothing presence you could never mistake her for anybody else
I'm new here. I'm glad to have found your channel and I have subscribed because I am on a mental health journey and I never stop looking for more knowledge. To see you dissociate and then switch was triggering, I cried. But they are tears of healing. I appreciate your bravery so much I'm just in awe of how much courage it would have to take to be able to watch that yourself and still upload it. I hope your system is doing well and thanks again for all of your hard work to bring us this first hand experience of DiD. Much love ❤
I think all these points are valid in any relationship. It doesn't matter with whom. Be respectful and just be there for them in the capacity they need.
Every gesture and expression from Sally is so cute and sweet! Everyone is the system has something to make them unique and wondrous. Who could ever choose a favorite?!
I was just watching a video recorded by Kyle ("Alter Dynamics" very interesting) and the change in vocal tone/accent between Kyle and Sally (and all the other alters) is incredible
It always amazes me how adaptable everyone has to be in the system as you essentially 'wake up' in a different situation, place or circumstance and just have to roll with it. Loved the video guys!
I am just playing it in the background, because I watched those videos before, and I want my views to matter, even if only a little bit. Comment mainly for algorithm. But also sending much love and support to Your system! Take care of yourself :)

Could one alter have a mental disability such as ADHD or dyslexia while other alters don't?
Yes, because they are diffent people, so an alter could go through trauma and develop PTSD, or depression for example
@@yuioptao well, but mental illness and neuro-divergency are a little different. I'm not informed in the field, but i thought adhd for example is not something you develop but rather something you've always had
Yes
since ADHD is something you are born with, I don't think an alter can "develop" that disorder, same with dyslexia I believe. But things that can develop during life I think those can work
The body has ADHD, it's neurological. Dyslexia, maybe
Thank you Thank you for this video! Thank you for your caring and courage you exude in all of your videos🙂

The fact that We Can se its sally in the thumbnail is very telling. Welcome back, we have missed all of you🥰
I do have questions for you all, I'd love to learn more, my curiosity just booms when I watch your videos, im SO happy you all are posting again it really is so wonderful to have you all back🥺💜🫂
You know you're a true DissociaDID fan if you don't need the person fronting to introduce themselves at the beginning of every video.
Much love ❤
Sally has such a soothing voice 😌😌I love her
Really missed her voice. It's so sweet and calm :33333333
Thank you so much for this video
I think all these points are valid in any relationship. It doesn't matter with whom. Be respectful and just be there for them in the capacity they need.
interacting ♥ love you guys!
Really appreciate your channel. Best of luck to you and yours going forward into the future ☺️😁 🖤🙏🌌
Every gesture and expression from Sally is so cute and sweet! Everyone is the system has something to make them unique and wondrous. Who could ever choose a favorite?!
Yesss this is my favourite video of Sally, I'm so happy! 😭💕
Loved the video guys!
sally should start doing guided meditations her voice is so beautiful
I recently started dating somebody with DID and I wondered if there's anywhere I could find some community support about it.
Thanks as alwatys. We needed it. Facing a relationship now as a system aware of itself at least. Smile.
Beautiful person/people, inside and outside. 🥺
I'm in love with this hair!
Best video outro
I‘m scared to date someone because i don’t know if i have did or not and i won’t get diagnosed until I’m 18
I enjoy these vids so much and they are so informative!!
Hey Sally! Great to see you again.
This was such an amazing video, thank you Sally!! Also absolutely love the clothes, does anyone have any idea where you could find similar items?
I am just playing it in the background, because I watched those videos before, and I want my views to matter, even if only a little bit.
Comment mainly for algorithm.
But also sending much love and support to Your system! Take care of yourself :)

Good to see you got this video back! Also great to see Sally!
can an alter have mental illnesses that other alter dont have? or can one alter be super good at math while others are not? Or can they have different IQs ?
I love how she switched and goes "okay bye bye"
This is a very important video considering relationships, This is my first time seeing Sally. Thanks for sharing. HAve a great day .
Thank you so much, this really helped me understand and how to approach this new situation that seemed very intimidating and scary.
Listening to how important something simple like deodorant could be complicated with DID was eye opening.
