I was sceptical of this car! Looked at the others in the class and ended up buying this car. The more we use it the more we love it.. even the strange rear lights.
What's the fuel economy on this one?? Im looking at trading in my 2013 Outlander for this one. Living here in NZ, just that we have this RUC, 65nzd per 1000km. How about the handling in the highway and in city?

This is a decent SUV (wagon) IF you are going to do proper off roading instead of simply touching a dirt track along a trail. It’s great if your towing as it tows up 3.1t. It makes no sense to buy this for simply going to the beach and park on asphalt or drive through the city. It’s what really annoys me about this video review and the people who choose to buy it. If you can afford this buy a Mazda 6 wagon or similar. Why does a man or woman need this suv to drive around town? To see better? Ridiculous
@@ivankhalid4699 I understand what you're saying and I would also rather get a sedan or a station wagon over an SUV. But I think people just like to sit up high and like the fact that this Pajero can go off-road just in case you have to do some off-roading. And tbh you might as well get one of this instead of going for a luxury SUV or a medium-sized SUV like Rav 4 or Mazda CX5.
@@ivankhalid4699 why'd you assume that it's only gonna be driven around town? cause it's for his wife? ridiculous. The reviewer also mentioned she didn't get to go out for the holidays so she wasn't able to go off road. It's Australia mate, everyone goes off road here once in a while, not all the roads are paved etc.
Well that center storage bin is the place where you put your phone in as you dont really need to touch your phone once connected with USB cable as this car has Apple car play and Android Auto...
There is actually a place where you can put your phone into and it's located under the gear lever next to the driver's knee. Go check 3:14

Nice video, thank you for putting it up. You omitted the issue of the three anchor points being roof mounted substantially cutting into the headspace of the third row though. Something for people to definitely be aware of if they need to use both the second and third rows and have tethered car seats installed.

Great review and you mentioned almost all the vehicle's specification.
Thought i don't like the rear design but i can live with it. My only complain is the interior space, or the lack thereof.
Awesome looking SUV, mitsubishi is stepping up their game. they just need to hire some people get their interiors correct. while the interior is functional, looks good and ages good as well, they need to go with some more colors other than black. get proper 2 tone colors on the dashboard and doors etc. give different options for cabin interior based on color. this will definitely compete with the toyota prado/land cruiser on all levels. for that money you can also go for an Audi q7 as well vw toureg. but pajero and prado will win hands down in reliability.
that vertical tail-light, why don't they remove it already.

In the Exceed Model where are the 8 speakers located? I can only find 6 (2 tweeters + 2 speakers on front door and 2 speakers on back doors)?

2003up to2011 i owned one.Replaced it with pajero.I live in Israel wich is regulated like western Europe and sadly truck based suv's no longer marketed here(p.sport,Toyota4runner,Isuzu mux-never sold here)
A good review, would have liked to see a bit of off road functionality and drive. How does this compare to the likes of Ford explorer, Toyota fortuner ?
Not bad, but I prefer the old interior of my 3.2 pajero 3, screens are everywhere now ! And it seems that the old one was more "rustic" and reliable !

As usual, an excellent and insightful presentation with an especially practical family angle. However. I'm being pedantic here & I acknowledge that a lady is in a difficult bind by saying "route" as "ROOT" as is normal in Australia, but as an Aussie, that 'prissy' overseas pronunciation is, even in context, a step too far. On second thoughts. I'd recommend another term. Off hand, while I can't think of one, therefore I'd hand it to the Producer at CarsGuide (in as much as your target demographic is potential Austraian purchasers).

Looks like USB in the back, and the lane departure warning is new by the looks of it.
Roof spoiler now comes as standard to distract you from the infamous rear end of the pajero sport. It does help to make it look better.

The review should be about the car and not the presenter but judging by the body language and the constant smiling at the camera its hard to guess. Great example of whats wrong with RUclips and society in general these days. The content is often secondary. I cant take this seriously.

I effing hate that stupid key arrangement where you have to slide the remote into that hole next to your foot. Ergonomically STUPID.
Why does the key even come out of your pocket? It's a proximity key, you don't put it in that slot unless you run out of battery in the key fob.
@@JasonLowderTheRanga I worked with Pajero Sports for over a year & the ones I drove weren't proximity keys, you had to leave the key in its loose holder by your foot
@@HoofHearted2DAY really. Hmmm. Maybe the base model had a slot key. By the looks of the specs they are all prox keys now. Putting your key into that slot would have been a royal pain in the bum.... actually, now I look, there is a blank bit on the steering wheel shroud where a normal key and lock would go... weird.
Awful looking rear end of this vehicle. Toyota Fortuner looks much better.

no, if you're not into 4x4 don't buy this and then be totally clueless on how to behave and maneuver something this big on the road... buy an outlander and stop taking our 4x4s

Unfortunately I bought an Exceed to tow my small caravan absolutely gutless. No power from engine. Poor gearbox. Don’t buy one overpriced shitbox from Renault Mitsubishi. I now own a new Landcruiser enough said.
Agreed, you definitely wouldn't buy one to two a van. You'd be relying on the motor to be on boost all the time. But hey, you'd do the same thing for any of the small capacity new engines that are coming out now.
If you want to tow something big long distances, go a bid old school 4wd.
