For this curious, this is a windows flight stick and isn’t directly compatible with the Xbox lineup of consoles. There appears to be work around but try at your own risk!
I took the spring out, heated it up to soften it up and put it back. I fly the DCS Apache very fluently with it. I don’t know why this stick gets so much hate. It’s always been a solid reliable performer for me.
it is a great joystick if you want to spend as little as possible, or you’re just starting flight sims, also it is compatible with almost every game, but it definitely has some issues. it has a low resolution, and as i got better at il-2 i noticed that i couldn’t make the small corrections i wanted to. this joystick also has a bit of slop in every direction, so it made it even harder to make small corrections. now i have a thrust master t16000, and it was an very noticeable upgrade in terms of build quality, feel (smoother, less slop, more range of motion), and precision, even though it only cost $30 more (used). however, i will be very happy if this ever breaks, because i have a usable backup.
Supports DCS is a stretch, it takes hella long to load in and I have to run at low graphics. Take 750ti as an example of my budget. You do you though I'm gonna use my money for other things.
I have used that thing for almost a year now, it feels kinda low quality if you are doing slight movements, it has a big dead zone and the stick feels a bit shaky. Still decent for the price
Got mine for $1.25 at a thrift store in 2014 and it's served me well ever since. I haven't used it as my main stick for a while, but as a side one for certain aircraft in DCS.
yo my parents have had one of these things just sitting in our office ever since I can remember. I didn’t know it was this old. It’s awesome to see other copies of it. I didn’t know it was actually a popular thing, and thought it was just some sort of rip off of another thing, although it is logitech. Thanks for sharing.
I bought a Saitek something from two-thousand-something for flight simming a couple years ago. I was extremely cash strapped but I was missing flying the Huey in DCS. I had originally had an X52 and a Saitek Pro Flight yoke/throttle. But my former brother in law destroyed all three. I had an extreme 3D Pro in the closet, which was fine, but it holds sentimental value and I didn't want to butcher it. So I got the Saitek stick, and just cut the spring off. I could put another one on there but the action was a little sticky. But I cut the spring and used some dielectric grease (same stuff I had used in my Pro Flight yoke) and it became perfect for flying helicopters. Not so great for planes, but there's the fun part. I cannuse the Logitech stick for planes, and it is good enough. And when I want to fly the Huey, I switch to the Saitek. It's a $27 flight sim setup. I bootleg it eve further, becuase I use my T3PM racing pedals as rudder pedals, and my G29 as a throttle and extra buttons. It's a little odd at first but it works and it's far cheaper tha starting from scratch wit dedicated hardware.
I used this as a left handed I got this just today maybe around 8 hours ago… I flew in X plane 11 for around 6 hours and it kind of worked I was moving the calibration for a bit and fixed after 3 hours 😂
I’ve and three of these joysticks really effective and reliable but do eventually wear out… buttons and the spring will stop working. Still a great value
for the love of god where is this software download? Everyone has it, nobody says where they got it. Logitech's own website has no software downloads affiliated with this product. please tell me where you got it.
This is a great stick. I have a couple that I've purchased off goodwill over the years for $10. I have an expensive warthog that sits in the closet just because I don't sim as much and I can throw this into a corner when doing other things.

Actually picked this up about 3 months ago, and it has served me well in dcs and warthunder alike
Best flight joystick dollar for dollar no doubt
you have the money to get a pc/laptop that support dcs, you should have atleast bought thrustmaster hotas x

I owned mine for like 18 years, just replaced it yesterday with Turtle Beaches Velocityone Flight Stick. Served me well the last 18 years

Mine is 10 years old and I used it today to play MSFS 2024. Not the best but better than nothing.
had to replace my decade old 3d pro recently. was a good joystick, lasted a long time.
It's like the Toyota of the joystick world!

I started with a 3D Pro and now use a Velocity One flight yoke. So good!
Its quite a popular option in countries like Turkey (mine at least) where tech isn't really affordable, just ordered mine this weekendm
LOL this is what I use. Would recommend to be honest, will be upgrading in the future, but this does the trick.
Bought mine a few months ago. Cheap but works. Sometime is zeros completely wrong and you have to reset it though.
Yeah definitely in the entry level price point, there seems to be a huge gap in the flight sim equipment market from low-end to high-end
I’ve and three of these joysticks really effective and reliable but do eventually wear out… buttons and the spring will stop working. Still a great value
Will it work on Windows 11 ?
Had it since msfs 2004 it’s great and have had no issues since purchase

Is it weird that I want to use this for farming sim
i picked up the 1999 logitech wingman attack joystick for 5 bucks, its a fair unit!
I've been through about three of these, good performance for the money, but they develop a lot of drift after a while
I'm using mine right now and it's been working perfect for years and years
I hope it works for construction sim
I still have a Logitech 5.1 sound system that I think has more than 15 years old :-1
