Wow! Didn't know such a thing existed! I've been considering getting a keyboard to plug into my laptop for certain situations depending on where I'm working Once I NEED to get a keyboard, I'll consider this or something similar! 😊❤👍
I do like the shape and colour and also the rollers and letters in your mums. This world should have a few more designs of these to make the perfect one Stay safe
I came across this video by accident while searching for something else. I remember author Peter Chiykowski posting a photo of his setup, where he had one of those that I think he uses with an iPad Pro series, and now I know what he uses! I checked their website, and as much as I want that new gold edition to use with my black Likebook Mimas, it's a mechanical keyboard, hence the high price, BUT they don't offer options to get it with Cherry MX Green keyswitches, only blue! I think I'll probably stick to my Logitech K480 for now, which works great, although I've had to put up with it missing input events, though I think that's just an issue with me purchasing mine used.
File under: Things I Will Purchase, Once My Film Goes Into Production, Post Lockdown, and The Studio Finally Pays Me For the Screenplay They Made A Deal With Me For. (How does the lead actor get a signing bonus, but I don’t? I’m the one who wrote something enticing enough to get said international leading man.)
I've found typing on my computer keyboards and then starting to type on my typewriter keyboards are quite a change as my fingers seem to be clumsy on the typewriters. From your video, it looks like the keys are almost the same spacing as an old school Royal or Smith-Corona with the round keys instead of the tombstones or more modern designed keys? If it is useful and if it can help me get used to typing on my typewriters, that'd be awesome. Thoughts on that front?
If this is PS4 compatible, i will buy one just for my PS4, and if possible for the PS5. I don't know if you ever had an IBM Selectric typewriter but when i used it, the keys would go... CLANK, CLANK, CLANK, then the gold ball BANG, BANG, BANG!
I just ordered a similar one on AliExpress, hopefully it’s good. I t has a cool backlit keys too. Lot cheaper. I’ll update when and if I get it 😅 hopefully next week b
Hi there- because it's a mechanical keyboard, it's designed to be sort of loud like that. The keys are made to be more tactile to get that typewriter feel which is also loud. They have replacement key caps, but none of them are made to soften that. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you!
Another model I'm considering does have backlit keys, controlled by the return thingy. Also can turn the sound down or off when needed. I don't like the ones whose main feature is round keys that sound like a typewriter, but otherwise look like a keyboard, and come in funky colors. I want the authentic typewriter look. Just wish those weren't so expensive.😒
@@JustMyTypewriter its a smith corona coronet super 12, do you know it? it has a bit fancy button called POWER RETURN and when you press it the carriage moves back on its own.
I was kinda hoping this thing was more of a newaged wordprocessor, something that much the devices of old you can just slap some paper into and make words appear rather than just "lol keyboard, getcha device drivers here, ensure ya wifi is gucci for the printer" etcetc, looks nice tho.
Horrific board. Thin, not even spherical caps, just orbular, thin caps. I had a displeasure of using one. Not even talking about the switches, scratchy, plasticky sound, rattly beyond measure. Would've been a greater approach, if the designers designed a taller case, that can hous an ALPS SKBM Clone (Matias Clicky) or any BOX Switch (BOX Jade / Navy) and proper, thick SA Spherical Caps.
As someone who doesn't have a ton of keyboard experience- I guess my review is much more from a typewriter person perspective. I agree though maybe it wasn't built to be the most effective and is definitely more aesthetically driven.
Well, Im very picky about keyboards, this one, for me, is a money grab, very common in the keyboards community, Ive paid for it with my own money, and its nowhere around the price they are asking for, at least they could've gave it SA caps, that would be a massive improvement already.
Wish you had recorded the sound of the keyboard.
It sounds very much like a typical mechanical keyboard.

I just couldn't get used to cleaning up after using white-out.
Never heard of this. Had no idea it was a concept. My keyboard is ready for replacement soon. Must have a look at this

I've had this itch to have a typewriter keyboard ever since watching Violet Evergarden.
Is there a third party case anyone could recommend for the Qwerkywriter?

Awesome! I've looked into AliExpress, but have never bought anything from there. Let me know how it goes!
@@JustMyTypewriter I will. I’m considering doing a review video simply cause there’s not really any on the one I ordered. I’ll see what happens 😁
Thank you for this great review ....
Is this still working? Has it survived till now?
Hi there! Yep- mine still works!
Cool. Thank you for the info. 🙏
@@JustMyTypewriter I'm confused I speak Spanish but can I use this same keyboard? Shortcut will work the same? I need the Ñ 🤦🏽♀️
@@pillowdoor You may be able to program it to do such, but it is an English based keyboard.

Is there any way to make the qwerky less loud, so I can write in coffee shops?

Use a spray-can to write on coffee shops 🤣

How loud is it?
I have some more recent typewriter keyboard reviews that include sound clips

They are not

I have never seen anything like that before.
There are many more varieties now- lots of brands are coming out with a typewriter themed Bluetooth keyboard
So i got one at the las vegas swapmeet for $40, also got an xbox one x all digital for $200 lol
250 dollars 💸
Its a beautiful keyboard but good god, wish it was like 150 or something more reasonable.

Could you please tell me the name of your mom’s keyboard? I would like to know the name of the company. Please provide me the information. Thanks.
Hey there! It's the Penna Keyboard made by Elretron. The link to the company's site is in the description as well- www.elretron.com/penna
thank you!❤️

All I can say is that... you should get a typewriter then! They are way betterrr!!!
I have at least 15 at my place with more at my work.
Sounds like someone who can't afford one bashing it.

Definitely for a very specific user '(:::)
