i've noticed that. I started watching 1970's-80's-90's movies off YT. Obviously some can be as corny and popculture of the time as movies now. But alot of them still were amazingly well acted and written. I think its cuz they used actors that looked like ppl. And now every lead has to look like Blake Lively level. But the problem is they also act as well as her too
My favorite Robin Williams movie. I'm not really a fan of his comedies, but I think his dramas are mostly excellent. I would say he was underrated as a dramatic actor, but I'm not sure he was. I think people mostly agree that he was a fine actor.
Great movie, I just watched it for the first time for free on Pluto TV. It was very heartwarming, Robin Williams, and Robert De Niro were fantastic in it.
The opening scene where he walks out the front door of the brownstone was a few doors down from my family's house on 14th St in Park Slope. Williams character has my mom's married surname and another doctor in the film has my last name. Crazy alignment.
I have Parkinson's disease, and I have my caregiver, and the problem is almost of my companion at home doesn'tt understand my disease, or just don't want to understand my disease. When I am eating they get mad because I'm very slow eater and always SA catering my food,,and when I said I really choke when eating even very small amount of water and food, they really get mad
I saw this movie. So in the end, Leonard went back to being brain dead? When he was actually functioning THAT was his awakening. Him awake from his 30 year coma. Then at the end he slowly went BACK INTO his coma?
Yes. The sad part of this story is that the drug they used for the catatonic patients only worked for so long. They built up a resistance to it over time. I think the point of the story is that they were allowed to live again...even if it was for a short while.

There’s more story, emotion and detail in the first 10 minutes than most modern movies

He looks JUST like Robert De Niro
@@marthastubbs8321 old De Niro is going full-rítäd now in 2024
I look into Robin's eyes in some of the scenes and I just melt! There is so much compassion and soulfull love!
This movie made me cry... 😭
Thank you Robin and De Niro 🙏

I get what you mean. Same thing with Jim Carrey's comedy movies. BUt then he did this incredibly surprising thriller movie - The Number 23.
This is Robin Williams favorite movie of his own that he did

Great,great film...based on a true story.
The real story was a tiny bit less depressing
@@justinTime077 I cannot agree. I've watched the documentary and currently I'm reading the book, and it's even more heart-wrenching than the film

one of the things that stood out to me the most was his writing being all distorted, it just shows what was happening to his brain.
Amazing movie
RIP Robin

Likely is a fire hydrant. Try googling “fire hydrant spray nyc.” Maybe it’s included to add balance/motion visual interest to the scene.
