VW type 2 laser floor scan by Global Dimension

We had a lot of fun today, as we had a great crew of different people show up at our office. The highlight was a 1966 VW bus ambulance - all original, no accidents, original paint - NO RUST! What a great vehicle to use as a reference for reproduction parts.
Our buddy, Thon from BaanRodVolk (In Thai language this is “House of Volkswagen”) wants to make the front floor mat for a right-hand-drive (RHD) VW bus. There are reproduction floor mats for LHD busses, but none for the RHD bus. Thon’s friend is the owner of the VW bus with the perfect floor. The proud ambulance owner is Khun Toon.
Thon is the absolute number 1 “go to guy” for all reproduction parts in Thailand, and the world. He makes the products in Thailand and exports globally. www.baanrodvolk...

You can see us scan the floors with the Creaform Metra scanner and Creaform C-Track system. After we scan using this Creaform solution, we will produce the production drawings using 3D Systems DesignX and SolidWorks software.
