I feel like part of the flaw in Tiana's character was that she thought it all depended on her: She was so independent that she couldn't trust others to help her, nor could she allow for the possibility that life wouldn't always go her way. In the story she gets to learn that friends can help her, and that dreams can come true, even if the path to success isn't always smooth.
This whole sequence is just so smooth. Smooth vocals, instrumentation, animation... It's so pleasing. I feel like watching it added a few years to my life.

When she wants something, she puts everything she has into it. No matter how hard it is, because she knows she’ll get there eventually. That is a far better lesson then most Disney Princesses teach. Many are passive, unmotivated, or moved by the men that sweep them off their feet. The only Princesses that get on the same level as Tiana’s greatness is Mulan. I love all the Disney princesses especially Mulan, Tiana, Merida, and Moana their movies have such great messages. Like in Mulan you're taught that women can be just as strong as men. In Tiana you're taught that to get where you want in life you have to work hard and put in the effort no matter what tries to slow you down. In Brave you're taught to live your own life and not live by someone else's expectations. And in Moana you're taught to find yourself and follow your heart no matter what someone else tries to tell you. Very beautiful movies and messages.

Something I've always loved about this scene outside of Tina's gorgeous singing is that they animated the song in an art deco style commonly found in advertising from the 20s, its a nice stylized nod to the decade the movie takes place in. ^^

As a writer, Tiana’s struggle intrigues me. A remake where she’s made it and she’s preparing for her big opening would be great. The story could be flashbacks of and about her dad’s struggles as he tried to achieve his dreams as well as her own struggles. Then they could also add snippets of Naveen’s carefree passion and how he didn’t want to wait till he was a big star to enjoy his music and enjoy playing for any crowd. A lot of the animated movie is also about a desire for a different life. That’s how the Dr Faciliter makes his green. Promising people a different life. That’s his desire too. I think there’s an important lesson in that too. And the importance of choosing the right path when creating a new life for yourself.!Showing how both Tiana and Naveen realised it wasn’t the hard work or the passion that made their dreams coming true worth it but finding each other would make the story beautiful. Music is key. Family, community, determination. This is a Disney story with so much to teach young girls that want to stand up for their values and what they believe in. You know what, if Disney doesn’t write it I’ll write it myself💅🏾

I don't think any of the princesses besides Ariel and Aurora is concerned with getting married(maybe also pocahontas). Like she meets a very sweet guy whom she falls in love with. Snow white just wanted to live peacefully, without the fear of someone trying to murder her. Cinderella just wanted a single night, free from the abuse her perpitrators enact on her, look at her "I want song" she never sings about a prince, only of "dreams" free from her oppressors. Mulan wants to protect her family, Muana, Belle, Rapunzel and Merida wants more from their life, adventure etc. None wants to get married And worth mentioning, Tiana wouldn't even get her resturant if it wasn't for the prince and perhaps the crocodile as well, since they wouldn't have sold her the place, even though she had the money for it.

I feel like part of the flaw in Tiana's character was that she thought it all depended on her: She was so independent that she couldn't trust others to help her, nor could she allow for the possibility that life wouldn't always go her way. In the story she gets to learn that friends can help her, and that dreams can come true, even if the path to success isn't always smooth.

That is a far better lesson then most Disney Princesses teach. Many are passive, unmotivated, or moved by the men that sweep them off their feet. The only Princesses that get on the same level as Tiana’s greatness is Mulan.

I love all the Disney princesses especially Mulan, Tiana, Merida, and Moana their movies have such great messages. Like in Mulan you're taught that women can be just as strong as men. In Tiana you're taught that to get where you want in life you have to work hard and put in the effort no matter what tries to slow you down. In Brave you're taught to live your own life and not live by someone else's expectations. And in Moana you're taught to find yourself and follow your heart no matter what someone else tries to tell you. Very beautiful movies and messages.
Merida is spoiled kid. She cursed her own mother, almost started clan war. As princess she has responsibilities for her people. And you forgot Elsa and Anna

As a writer, Tiana’s struggle intrigues me. A remake where she’s made it and she’s preparing for her big opening would be great. The story could be flashbacks of and about her dad’s struggles as he tried to achieve his dreams as well as her own struggles. Then they could also add snippets of Naveen’s carefree passion and how he didn’t want to wait till he was a big star to enjoy his music and enjoy playing for any crowd. A lot of the animated movie is also about a desire for a different life. That’s how the Dr Faciliter makes his green. Promising people a different life. That’s his desire too. I think there’s an important lesson in that too. And the importance of choosing the right path when creating a new life for yourself.!Showing how both Tiana and Naveen realised it wasn’t the hard work or the passion that made their dreams coming true worth it but finding each other would make the story beautiful. Music is key. Family, community, determination. This is a Disney story with so much to teach young girls that want to stand up for their values and what they believe in. You know what, if Disney doesn’t write it I’ll write it myself💅🏾

Mulan wants to protect her family, Muana, Belle, Rapunzel and Merida wants more from their life, adventure etc. None wants to get married
And worth mentioning, Tiana wouldn't even get her resturant if it wasn't for the prince and perhaps the crocodile as well, since they wouldn't have sold her the place, even though she had the money for it.
