Making a Custom Skull Helmet

- Time to transform a half mask into a full helmet, making it up as I go. Started the build with an awesome resin cast mask from Red Nebula Studios and add to it parts from old templates to make this monster of a creation. In this build I used: 10 mm, 6 mm, and 2 mm EVA, 1 resin jaguar skull mask, resin cast skulls of various sizes from Evil Ted's cosmolds, Foam-Mo from Cosplay Apprentice, an old shear pullover, contact cement, super glue, Plasti Dip, spray paint, and some Plaid FX acrylic paints. You may also need the following tools: heat gun, a Dremel with various bits, and Exacto knife or box cutter. Midway through I was trying to think of why it looked familiar. For some reason I kept thinking Hellboy
Here’s an idea for a project: How about a Dwemer Centaurian from Skyrim. Or, if not the whole thing, the head of one. I’d imagine it’d been kinda difficult either way, but it’d also look freaking cool. Maybe the face plate would be sculpted with something like foam clay and the “helmet” would be traditional foam crafting. Just an idea if you wanna challenge yourself.
I would love to make a Dwemer Centurion at some point. Or maybe everything. LOL. There is so many awesome assets in the game to pick from.

That bottom does remind me of Trapjaw. I was big into He-man as a kid and completely forgot about him.

i know i'm just a random person but i want to say, thank you sir for showing these amazing builds masks, helmets. at first i use your templates to make your stylish masks, but after 3 weeks i get to hang of it and now i make my own templates and with my own style. well it still super decent masks design with a limited and a beginner equipment and materials, i'm only making stylish half masks sir for covering medical half mask so it would look a bit cool while wearing it. and the good part is, people keep buying the half masks i made. hahhahaahaa it still decent but unique they said, i wish i could show you these half masks i made that started from your ideas and now i could make my own style. once again, thank you so much sir. your ideas is my inspiration.

Another awesome build. The only thing I'd do different is to round over the bottom teeth some so they match up with the top teeth better. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing.
I would have added a flip up front and some horns if I had more time

Very cool helmet/mask Thomas.. i got one for you to make tho... i just got thru watching the movie "the green knight" and thought that the green knights face, er helmet?, would make a great helmet prop... of course, it might be too easy for you.
I've not seen the movie but took a look in a Google search, looks pretty cool. Might have to add it to the list of possibilities.

LOL. If resources and time was limitless, sure. I would love to make full custom cosplays, but realistically I don't have the time, money or space to keep up with that. For me it more fun to just bounce around

It's been on my list for a while. I really like the shape of it. Got a couple of things in the works right now but eventually I will get around to it.
