- SPOILERS from both games.
Part II was my most anticipated game ever which is why it sucks so much that I was spoiled of everything that happens in the game. But that doesn't change that it's an amazing achievement and one of the best games I've ever played, one of the best stories I've ever seen. A true masterpiece all around. Joel might just be my favorite character of all time and Part II closes his story beautifully.

Bill was right, caring about Ellie was what got Joel killed.

Joel would do it all over again for Ellie, and that's the thing that father would do to save his beloved daughter as Joel did even Ellie is not Joel's daughter but Joel felt like Ellie is his little girl.
that's why I loved this game, such a beautiful relationship!

The real Joel died with Sarah’s death. From there he was just an empty shell that survived. The love he created for Ellie, like that of a father towards his daughter, restored his true version. Ellie actually saved him, both physically (after Colorado University) and psychologically

What gets me is even if he knew saving Ellie will get him killed 4 years later , he'd still do it in a heartbeat. He wouldn't even think about it first.
I loved this one, it's a beautifully done and it makes justice to Joel.

I love that we saw him being a dad in yhe second game as much as it hurt to see him go. What an amazing portrayel of a father daughter relationship dynamic that was. He's the only one who saw Ellie for who she is beyond her immunity, something she struggled to realize until the end. I hope she'll find her purpose again, she definitely deserves the happiness Joel, in his own extereme way, tried to give to her.
You're exactly right. Anyone who knew about her immunity didn't value her as a person, just saw a potential cure. Except for Tommy, Maria, and Joel. I too hope she finds happiness and purpose.
I searched for the song and I bursted into tears watching this. This game, this story always sticks with me, its my alltime favorite and it really hurts to see every scene again and how it all fits together to this masterpiece. Thank you

I don't usually leave comments but I had to tell you, this was amazing. I loved this game so much, and I love this edit. The music was perfect for this, and you got so many scenes that told their story wonderfully! Good job!

I have lived a unique experience with the first game. So much so that I could not find satisfaction for another game for quite some time. A game experience is your own once released and played. For what it's worth, remember that you decide the rest of your life. Deal with the conflict inside you on your own. The love into making a masterpiece of any kind has a cost. And no one should suffer for it. Not even you. Make peace with yourself in order to accept that art only reflects what you see in the mirror. The choice is yours.

I wish there would have been no sequel to the perfect open ending of the TLOU 1 or at least TLOU 2 would have been completely different characters. Why on Earth did Druckmann decide to destroy such a powerful character in an absolutely stupid manner...
Completely disagree on that one. To me Part 2 is just as brilliant as the first one. A beautiful masterpiece that made me love and respect this story and characters even more.
