A tip: if you go the sky button under scene you can change the temperature of the “space” this can prevent water from freezing and keep everything at a stable warm temperature ( in the last video it would stop the weird ice spamming effect from the water freezing in the stone repeatedly) Edit: this also keeps things from constantly rapidly cooling down cause the variable is originally set to -80, trying to bring everything down to that temperature
Tried to buy this game last night because of you but it does not work on my video card. Living vicariously through you, I’d love even just longer or more videos of larger planets heating up and creating natural volcanos
If you pause the game and set the gravity really high and when the air bounces off you can remove the gravity to make a core collapse supernova, or the massive star supernova That’s also the reason why the air is bouncing off the center at 7:05, it gets compressed, and compression makes pressure, pressure pushes the atoms away but gravity holds it together
Actually for a little fun fact for an even better supernova you can just create an object of any material and pause it then grab onto chunks of it and move them down to the center of getting as compressed as you can then create a planet like object next to it and then press play I kind of learned that from someone else doing it and it’s even more explosive although it’s not very effective if you place the planet far away enough but if it is close enough it is obliterated and at the further away distance the particles from the explosion can be infused into the planet if it’s at the further away distance with the small projectiles going fast enough and maybe at a more closer distance they cannot just be infused into the planet They can also pass right through without even causing any damage or maybe some slight damage if it’s closer it’s even enough for planetary detonation if placed in the center
add_temp is just starting temperature of the material when you draw it on scene (this parameter neeeded just because ice should be cold, and lava should be hot when you draws it)
@@davidaugustofc2574 I think yes, but earthquakes need stone-stuck to be disabled. Also, SST has View modes on the right panel that can show shockwaves through solid bodies well
@@SpaceSimulationToolkit ah yes, I've seen a video where single particles travel through a planet and it shows the waves traveling through the materials.
I love watching this because my computer cant run the game so i watch someone else's computer run it for me. And you seem to be the only one playing this or smt I havent seen any other videos about it pop up.
Yo, if you still cant run it, and want spike to do something, i aint spike but i need some video ideas, and i have SST and like it, so uh, tell me what youd personally do in the game (preferably please make really detailed suggestions so i Can try my best to do EXACTLY what youd want done)
4:46 Dark energy actually pushes things out Dark matter is Basically glue for Galaxy's that glues star systems and nebulas and many other objects together
Fun fact:just increase the gravity by a T O N , that's how exactly supernovas happen Star compressed H A R D Then gravity acceleration slows down Then it explodes
Interesting, at the end the rest of the loop got distorted by that planets gravity as it was being destoryed too. Cool video. Sadly I don't think my GPU can handle this.
Why do you always click on the positive side of the vsriable change things? Dont they work as a rate of change thing rather than a slider? Like if you click and hold on the far end of the negative side of the slider it will decrease at a certain speed?
plz make longer video's, love your channel and this new game. I would literally watch 6hr long videos of this game. Making a lava lamp would be cool thing to see if it would work on here
can you make a planet with the center being molten iron, a layer of rock around that, a atmosphere, life or something like that with dirt, sand and oceans? if it works can you add a moon? day 1 of asking
U basically had a supernova the time it started flinging out the material due to the high gravity. Going supernova is when the star colapses under its own weight due to the increase of weight of the atoms in the Star, thus resulting in the lighter Atoms being super hot and condensed that they are not fast enough to also collapse to the core and beeing expelled outwards at incredible speeds. . So the Sand was already super heavy and instantly flung out which was a small nova. it just didnt escape the gravitational Pull because it was at a 4000x multiplier. which is closer to a neutron Star or a black hole.
Hey! you could try a software called "SpaceSim" is like space simulation toolkit (SST) but in 3d is more focused on realisim and planetary collisions the downside is that it depends on the CPU unlike STT wich depends on the GPU making the simulation slower and also you need a lot of particles in the planets to make it look spherical but is still a good choice and you should try it out!
I got the game a few days ago and after a few seconds of it simulating physics everything settles and stops moving until I use the drag tool on things and then they start moving again idk how to fix it help plz.
Suggestioni: make earth and Moon Orbit eachother, then make the Moon come closer to earth and see if It would act like real Life( It would crumble and create rings for earth)
Im awfully lazy, could you or someone please recommend the developer to optimize the game to lessen the minimum core requirement? The powder toy is nice and all, but I like physics based things, moving objects, I unfortunately have a dualcore, and I'd gladly purchase the game when I get the chance if this suggestion is possible :)
But hot water makes pressure. And pressure would heat more water And therefore more Pressure And therefore more heat Therefore more pressure and goes on forever
That face in the thumbnail is definitely going to become my new Home Screen

SpikeViper launches gaming statistics to the moon!
I'm looking forward to organizing a team to develop SST and speed up development by 10 times
You’ve already made one of my favourite games so with a team… Wow… You’ll be like the Minecraft of the simulation world.
@@AdrianneDickenson thanks! dreams come true
I do have a suggestion to make, it would be really cool if cracks released energy, like shaking both parts, in order to create earthquakes.
This game is so nice
I was searching for a game like this.
I hope you find a good team
@@Mister-Toaster thank you! I am happy to watch how SST community growth fast in last days

You should simulate orbits around a sun I think
He cant
@@Hardware_warshe can, i seen simulations of it on RUclips

DUDE KEEP MAKING VIDS ON THIS GAME I CANT STOP WATCHING
11:45 Spike Viper created the Overworld, nether and end from minecraft by accident.
Love this new game and the powder toy man your awesome, keep doing what u love bud❤
It is very much my favorite thing to watch
Thanks Mr snow
@@SpikeViperIT'S SPIKEVIPER!
SST is goated
why yes youtube and spike, this is my favorite thing to watch now. love the simulations and the pure joy, fascination and excitement in your voice.
Man why do no other simulation games run on the GPU?
It's because programming for the GPU is much harder than for the CPU
@mystifoxtech no it's really easy lol just hook up the particles to opengl and background calculations to tensor flow not that hard
Make 993 octillion videos of this none stop please for the love of god
Go go gadget pixel reducer! 9:15
*@Spike Viper*
11:45 Just remove the gravity node?
I think that should be enough? (assuming the particles momentum is preserved?)
this is definitely my favourite thing to watch
The add_temp for air was set to 0
add_temp is just starting temperature of the material when you draw it on scene (this parameter neeeded just because ice should be cold, and lava should be hot when you draws it)

It'd be interesting to see how in depth you can go with making volcanos, can you make a volcanically active planet?
heres a tip: set fict to 1 for no speed loss, great way to make stable orbits
nice video :D but i would like more the powder toy videos!!
4:47 was the supernova
MOAR MOAR MOAR

I heard there is alchemy too, can't wait.
Pls create a black hole if there is the possibility

Make a black hole I think it will be very cool
Poor YT compression...

Yo. How you been spike. Because I'm hyped. This game is cool
you should simulate a realistic sun
Really sick!
i wish i had more powerful PC to enjoy this game.
note, that you definetely need the nvidia card (not intel/amd) for best SST expirience
can you make a planet with the center being molten iron, a layer of rock around that, a atmosphere, life or something like that with dirt, sand and oceans?
if it works can you add a moon?
day 1 of asking
The sand sun kinda looks like a white hole except it doesn't expell stuff, it pull them.
i love this
what is next? maybe human biology?🤔🙂

is basically a universe sandbox but more realistic
but it doesn´t have the same features as SST tough but it seems like the developer is working on water and surface simulations
I really like this game. I would like to see some explosive reactions if possible.
I will add true explosions plugin in the following releases

Waaait, is this The Powder Toy, but space?
Ye
You can make a realistic planet by making the core metal and crushing it with rock using node gravity
it takes a lot of something on the PC but I don't know what.
Can you make a planet with an atmosphere and then, make a volcano erupt. Want to see how the atmosphere reacts.
what setup do u use spike viper?? cuz i wanna be able to play this as good as you
12:03 is it just me, or does that look a little bit like gravitational lensing?
YESSSSSSSS THIS IS BEST
I am addicted to this
can you make a video with solar flares impacting planets (not supernova, but solar flare)
This game is cool
It’s me venny almost at 400 subs! Your my inspiration
I wonder if this game has mod support/will have it in the future
It does! The creator made their own language for it :)
yes. currently mods already available in the v0.6.0.0 mods beta, you can switch to that branch in the steam library>application options>beta's
11:48 bro made a big bang
13:20 "it didnt take long for reach to fall"
I think an Ampere GPU with a high amount of VRAM will satisfy the simulation needed but Idk if it’s optimized for GPUs for datacenters.

Imagine if pressure made heat. That would be cool
But hot water makes pressure.
And pressure would heat more water
And therefore more Pressure
And therefore more heat
Therefore more pressure and goes on forever
its not dark matter that expands the universe its dark energy that does that
Have you tried artificial life environment? It’s more focused on evolution, but there is some fun physics things you can do.
