- This is my experience asking coin shops what my silver was worth.
These are just my experiences and my opinions. I am not a financial advisor and this is not financial advice.

Buy what you like. I was buying 1/10oz eagles years ago for 125 dollars each and people told me I was crazy for paying the high premium. Who’s laughing now.

I feel I am collecting too and not really stacking, but right now it's just silver and gold (and a wee bit of platinum). I don't want to sell any of them, but, you never know. I collected comics for 25 years, and wound up having to sell them to finance an expensive divorce. LOL I think what you're doing is fun, and 1 oz coins are not that expensive, and don't take up much room either. Could be worse, you could be collecting designer women's fashions, or bottles of crown royal that you just finished...yes.... there are Much more serious problems out there. 😉😂 I hope you get all the Eng. Prosp. rounds.. that would be a nice collection. Hope you get lots of views brother. See ya next video!

It’s a fun hobby besides being our own bank. I know the majority are adding weight as fast as the budget allows.

Not all silver is taxed the same when passed on as inheritance (should SHTF not occur) or you need to sell for food during further fiat-currency inflation conditions continue to increase.
That is how it should be buy what you like NOT someone telling you what to buy!!

Thanks for the video. Everyone has their personal reason to buy something. If your want to overpay that is your decision. I personally shop around since their is what I call investment stacking where you try to buy best buy/sell spreads to maximize returns

75k mintage so there are plenty of them out there yes
I like proof libertads that's where I overpay but very low mintage on some of them. We all have our own ideas

I recently discovered that I had some prospector rounds.
I don't remember the reverse of them, but the old miner panning by a stream was very cool. The ripples in the water look like they are moving when I tilt the coin slightly. Way cool.
I believe that seeking certain items to complete a set is beneficial for keeping things fresh and exciting.
I did that with SAE proofs and plain bullion. 1986-2016.
When I start stacking again, I will try to make the bullion set of each year complete. Perhaps financed by selling or trading all those proofs. lol.
I'm just a wealth preservation stacker, but I enjoy seeing the collectables items. It isn't that I just don't want silver or gold collectables, I don't collect anything...

People have always tried to tell me what to buy....I never listen and I am doing JUST fine. Do you think they would listen to you telling them where to buy from?! NO!! That Las Vegas piece is really cool! I am full on collector and 100% ok with it.

Wow. You are accidently building a collection of Engelhard rounds! This is amazing. I never knew about the varieties for 1985. 85 is the year that has the various sized. Half, 1/4 and tenth.

Keep up the good work.👍 I do have a few of those Prospectors, but I dont go out of my way to purchase them. Sometimes they are in my LCS's generic bin, the are culs, but i don't pay a primium on them either, same with ASE's.

Those will outperform regular silver. You should keep them. I dont consider that "collecting". I think of it as "investing" as the value of them should go WAAAAAAAAAY up over time.

Nothing wrong with you! I buy a coin and if it’s a series my OCD takes over and I have to have the complete date set. Germania and Perth have kicked my ass on these. But, I have complete sets! What can I say. Oh, and I did the very same thing on the Prospectors. Two full sets of those. Some not in the best shape but that’s okay. I’m not a flipper and these things bring me joy and for me, that’s what it’s all about. For me, at least. That and it takes the value out of the fiat system.

The silver vegas sign is made specifically for a coin shop here in vegas. They carry them on the regular.

If your not happy with the toning on your 84 you can always take it to a jeweler and let them give it a quick dip.
Silver Anonymous, It's catchy, lol. Working on the gaws from last night, and picked up some fancy envelopes at the Post office.
In 1985 there was a 1/10th oz, a 1/4 oz and a 1/2 oz as well as the 1oz round. There were also proofs in each year, but they were very low mintage and hard to find.
You are correct. I don't think I will go that deep into the collection. The 85 fractional pieces are hard to find and fetch a hefty premium. But if I run across them at some point I might pick them up. As far as proof those are rare and tough to come by too.
@@VegasStacker702 There was also a 1988 Prospector with The Summit Bancorporation on the reverse. I believe there was less than 100 made so again very rare and hard to find. That was the last year for the Prospectors. Most of the ones you can find at shows are 84's and 85's.
I've never gone to sell silver and bought instead. The only reason I would sell silver is to convert it into another asset.
I dont want paper, so I never really sell.
I was planning up using profit to get more silver since I got a deal on those.
I like Las Vegas coin co. I usually go there when my wife has a hair appointment because she insists I go with her. I go to LVCCo to look around and kill some time. If they have some good deals I tend to buy 90% of the time. I live in the southwest and usually go to Sahara precious metals.

Yes those 1983 are worth a few bucks. If you don't use eBay, it's still a good place to check prices. 1983 Prospectors are Selling for between $68-$100+. Good video!
I saw that on ebay even with fees and shipping I could make a little profit. No need for me to hoard them if there are people who want/need them for their collection

If you buy precious metals instead of selling ,that means 2 things, ( 1) - you didn't need to sell in the first place.
(2)- you found a price that was obviously worth paying.
" you can never have too much silver. " really , it will always increase in value sometimes slowly and sometimes it just moves, it has dips to occasionally ( that's when I buy, sometimes on the way down, but it still keeps the value of the money..

Great video bud. We all collect something or other, why not silver rounds right? Stack em and collect em. I think its awesome how you just stumbled upon that. Ive had that happen too. I ended up doing it with constitutional silver. Mainly quarters and dimes. I was kust stacking it and the next thing I know I search through the rolls I get and take out the choice coins from each year and they now reside in a nice coin book I got. Dont get me wrong if it came down to it I have no qualms with using it as a barter material if need be,I'm not that attatxhed to them. They are noce to have tk look at and see what the choice examples of any given year are. Ive even run across quite a few proofs and new silver state proofs and reverse proofs as well. You do you bud, don't mind the haters, just.make yourself happy. Thats all that matters.
