Great list! I love how much Underwater Cities has climbed. I’ll have to look into Lorenzo, sounds very solid, and if you put it higher than a Suchy design, oh boy!
Great list packed with awesome games, what a hard category to choose from! Excellent choices... I second what another commenter said about It's a wonderful world (great expansions on that one, highly recommend them) and Santa Maria, two excellent engine builders... I guess Wingspan would be a good contender in the lighter weight category.
Energy Empire-Manhattan Project is a fantastic engine builder. And for a somewhat entry level offering Splendor. Personally I wouldn’t necessarily classify Orleans as an Engine Builder but in some ways deck building or in Orleans’ case Bag Building could be viewed as a close cousin to the engine building mechanic
Splendor was on my shortlist. I totally see your point on Orleans, but that mechanism where you block spots off with the cogs tipped it for me personally.
Great choice of games! Like that Lorenzo gets some love. This game is still a Top 5 game for me even after some years of playing it. Once your engine gets going it is so satisfying!
Newton, Coimbra, and Underwater Cities were my favorites from this list. And since I love engine building games, you’ve given me some new ones to check out as well. Thanks!
I always appreciate honest and thoughtful reviews, and I like your conversational approach. I suspect once you play Santa Maria and It's A Wonderful World, you'll add them to your next Top 10 Engine Builders. Keep doing what you do.
Love Lorenzo, Underwater Cities, Orleans and some others. I’ll have to try some I haven’t played yet for sure. Great content. BTW lookin good in the sports coat my guy!
Lorenzo is my no.1 too!! Especially when you add in the Houses of Renaissance expansion... great to see Signorie and Hansa teutonica mentioned as well!!!... Subscribed
Thanks again for such an informative video. Ramps up my desire to obtain Newton, Lorenzo il Magnifico, and Coimbra. On the subject of engine builder, everyone is highly regarding Beyond the Sun. Love to see a review and your take on it. At your leisure, of course. Great list.
I think Hansa Teutonica is not an engine building. It is my favorite game, a top 10 for me. Mechanics: tech tree, connections, bonuses, area mayority (Britannia). Obviously in the course of the game you will have more victory points, and eventually more actions. Hence that is engine building, I doubt it
In these types of videos, where games are reviewed, I would like to see more images of the games and you in a small corner. The important thing are the games, right?
Yeah I don't disagree. With my actual reviews I record components etc now rather than myself. Top 10s are an exception as I think it's an opportunity to maintain a human touch.
@@ChairmanoftheBoard I couldn't agree more! I like seeing your full, humble presence on screen and you definitely make it all about the games. Well done..♥️
Thanks and I always enjoy your lists. Terraforming Mars is my favorite engine builder!!!

I thought of suggesting this one too, Manhattan Project Energy Empire
Great list, I would add Terraforming Mars and either Race for the Galaxy or New Frontiers.

Kashgar!! Oh man, I love that game! It needs a lovingly done reprint/2nd edition.
Great gameplay, terrible art
@@Animated_Tom 100% agree!
@@northlakeghost I agree. I'd like to see some end of game scoring added as well.

Thanks so much Keith. Looking forward to getting those titles played.

Steampunk Rally is my favourite engine builder at the moment! Nice top ten!!
I'm definitely going to give Lorenzo Il Magnifico a try. Thanks.
Thanks for introducing all these great games. 👌🏻

You should try Whistle Mountain.
I own it. Good game.
@@ChairmanoftheBoard It does have engine building mechanic in it (among others). I love that game.
Definitely. A good example. Glad you enjoy it.

Whoa! That was crazy fast. How long does it take to come up with a script you can glide through in one minute?
I don't use any scripts, I just talk about the games :)
