Why would a kid play GTA IV when they can ride jets, submarines, faster cars, etc... in V. They won't get to experience the same thing we did. Like playing Halo CE for the first time in 2023 won't feel anything like playing it early 2000s. Games now *should* be better, more content, more game mechanics, free movements, new technology leading to previously impossible gameplay. But it doesn't feel as great for us, because we've already seen it in our own way. But, I guess that's just part of getting old.

Modders were fun back then. Wouldn't mess with you too much. You asked for a pink ambulance? They would do it, If you were sassy to them they would just teleport you to jail and set you on fire. Other than that they didn't spend their entire time making the game miserable for you. Can't say the same with GTA V

There's an odd existential vibe to this. With how 'I keep on walking' is repeated and echoed, it could be indicative - to me at least - of the long search for contentment and meaning during the daily grind of life. I'm not claiming that's what the composer, producers, or developers of the game were intending; especially when I can absolutely see the more romantic side to it. It's just what I personally get out of this version of the song.

I remember the good old days back when I didn't even have a mic but still made a lot of friends countless hours of driving to and from the air port
and always seeing modders spawn in ramps, strippers, flying cars and npc followers but like every one else in my life they all moved on. Thank you to all the modders who blew my mind as a child. I'll never forget back when modders made the lobby fun for everyone nowadays you get banned hell, I'm pretty sure were never going to see online modding anymore. The xbox but mainly ps3 due to free online will forever be my favorites consoles I played dead island for ps4 and saw how trash and boring it got without modded weapons. #bringbackmoddedmultiplayer
Modders were fun back then. Wouldn't mess with you too much. You asked for a pink ambulance? They would do it, If you were sassy to them they would just teleport you to jail and set you on fire. Other than that they didn't spend their entire time making the game miserable for you.

I was in 9th grade when this game came out. The pause music makes me nostalgic but sad. I was younger and had friends and my dog was still alive good times…
I took a look at the sound file for the pause music in OpenIV and was able to play each layer individually. It really is something else to hear.

Me and my brother played this all day until 2015. My brother said that we should play gta 5 instead but i didn't have money and so my brother we agreed that we will sell this on ebay and got the money fast but like 7 months later i said i kinda miss gta tbogt. My brother said he missed it too

Such a dreamy and hopeful little song, works in lovely contrast to the more violent, gothic sounding TLAD or the haunting violins in the original IV. The menu songs that is.

Man, this took me to a trip down memory lane. So many hours, spent with so much fun, one of the best ever GTA’s I’ve ever played. Thinking that I was 11 there when I first played it, and considering that half my life passed since then.. crazy. Closing my eyes and listening to this makes me instantly tranquil, and all my fears and sorrows are gone. Good shit bro.

There's an odd existential vibe to this. With how 'I keep on walking' is repeated and echoed, it could be indicative - to me at least - of the long search for contentment and meaning during the daily grind of life. I'm not claiming that's what the composer, producers, or developers of the game were intending; especially when I can absolutely see the more romantic side to it. It's just what I personally get out of this version of the song.

The main theme itself along with this one is a time capsule, in that the style of which it’s composed are made up of the best tropes for music in the late 2000s.

I remember when I first bought this game it recently came out and I was at the mall asking ppl if they can purchase it for me since I had the money but no i.d LoL. Luckily a guy decided to and I was excited as hell. I played this game during winter when it was very cold and gray and raining. I would spend hours playing this. I grew up with this. I was 15 at the time , I'm now 26

hope everyone is doing good from this era, what a fkn time boys. hands down best mp experience i have ever encountered just join a lobby pick up a weapon get a fast cop car or the sultan and race around the airport while people fought in buzzard attack choppers high in the sky all that adrenaline rush of excitement we all experienced in those lobbies.

Never played Ballad of Gay Tony, but GTA IV's base game (with Niko). And I can relate to the nostalgia. I played the game when I was like 14 or 15 damn it. Now, being 20 and stuck in life full of ups and downs, one wishes to go back to easier times at least for a day.

Lol I'm surprised someone watched this 10 hours ago. Im getting drunk in my barracks room alone sadly and this popped in my head. Used to get drunk while playing this game at age 16. Im 24 now. Every time i would wake up this song would be playing and i would never remember pausing the game lol. Good times!

I have never played TbogT, I actually never even played GTA IV, but this soundtrack is something very special to me. It's one of the very few that can transport me into another dimension and affects my brain in an undescribeable way.. That's also one of the reason why I am listening to it at 3:22 AM now.. Many weird things are going through my head, such a deep stuff.. Shame there's no one I can talk about it.. But not just now, it's for years that nobody understands me..

I was 12 when I played this game back in 2012. I'm going to be 24 next month. It's crazy how time flies. I still remember sneaking into my brothers room to play this game at absurd times of day and night. I really miss those times. No responsibilities, no issues. Just me and the playstation.
