Why would a kid play GTA IV when they can ride jets, submarines, faster cars, etc... in V. They won't get to experience the same thing we did. Like playing Halo CE for the first time in 2023 won't feel anything like playing it early 2000s. Games now *should* be better, more content, more game mechanics, free movements, new technology leading to previously impossible gameplay. But it doesn't feel as great for us, because we've already seen it in our own way. But, I guess that's just part of getting old.

I would play TBOGT all evening and then pause the game and keep the music on all night as I fell asleep thinking about my high school crush. I remember the good old days back when I didn't even have a mic but still made a lot of friends countless hours of driving to and from the air port and always seeing modders spawn in ramps, strippers, flying cars and npc followers but like every one else in my life they all moved on. Thank you to all the modders who blew my mind as a child. I'll never forget back when modders made the lobby fun for everyone nowadays you get banned hell, I'm pretty sure were never going to see online modding anymore. The xbox but mainly ps3 due to free online will forever be my favorites consoles I played dead island for ps4 and saw how trash and boring it got without modded weapons. #bringbackmoddedmultiplayer
Modders were fun back then. Wouldn't mess with you too much. You asked for a pink ambulance? They would do it, If you were sassy to them they would just teleport you to jail and set you on fire. Other than that they didn't spend their entire time making the game miserable for you. Can't say the same with GTA V

I was 12 when I played this game back in 2012. I'm going to be 24 next month. It's crazy how time flies. I still remember sneaking into my brothers room to play this game at absurd times of day and night. I really miss those times. No responsibilities, no issues. Just me and the playstation. Man I’m crying writing this… because hearing this music just brings back a wave of memories I had on this game. From being at the airport with friends, throwing people down a staircase at the airport, hitting people off that ledge with my car by where brucie stayed at, to spending 10-15 mins trying to find the right color to have sprayed on my car and the paint shop, shoot outs with the cops, trying to find all the pigeons across the entire map, blocking the door with a car at the clock’n bell and shooting it up, to finally one of my favorite memories just completing the game in general. It sucks the last time I didn’t know it would be my last time for years to come. I wish there was a way to know your in the good ole days when your actually in them.

One of the best games I played growing up I miss playing with such a friendly and great community, when anyone gets in your car you send him a friend request and take him to the end of the city just to get sultan rs or the police stinger in Tbogt after that becomes your friend and you go back to the airport and do a drag race with everyone until that player who has the helicopter start chasing everyone, I will never forget having fun with everyone till 2AM and making friends then go back to single player and start listening to the pause menu while in bed till I sleep, I used to play with many people from the USA and sometimes I talk in the mic but my English was bad as a European from Poland. I wonder where they are in life now. Those were the best times. omg, I just wanna cry now.

The main theme itself along with this one is a time capsule, in that the style of which it’s composed are made up of the best tropes for music in the late 2000s.
There's an odd existential vibe to this. With how 'I keep on walking' is repeated and echoed, it could be indicative - to me at least - of the long search for contentment and meaning during the daily grind of life. I'm not claiming that's what the composer, producers, or developers of the game were intending; especially when I can absolutely see the more romantic side to it. It's just what I personally get out of this version of the song.
Such a dreamy and hopeful little song, works in lovely contrast to the more violent, gothic sounding TLAD or the haunting violins in the original IV. The menu songs that is. I really hope they don’t drop the ball on the next one. And why not bring back Michael Hunter? He made all of the iconic themes.
This song gives me vibes of those nights I played this game. I remember the day I got the game, but one memory sticks out the most. It was after one exam, my friend and I went to my cousins house in cold weather. We chilled, put this gem of a game on and climbed the highest building. As Luis leapt of the peak, we all looked outside to see it's snowing. That was nearly 7 years ago. Now this game gives me vibes of an alternative life, another place, another city, another me. I think this music is a must for those shower thought moments - especially with corona and all.
I was 12 years old, waking up at 3 am, the controller still in my hands and getting pure goosebumps caused by this angel like sound. Best score in gaming history for sure. And even though GTA V and especially online gave us a whole next level experience, it never caught up to the Vibe of IV an EFLC. Already waiting for GTA VII and hopefully our return to Liberty City

Never played Ballad of Gay Tony, but GTA IV's base game (with Niko). And I can relate to the nostalgia. I played the game when I was like 14 or 15 damn it. Now, being 20 and stuck in life full of ups and downs, one wishes to go back to easier times at least for a day.

I remember the good old days back when I didn't even have a mic but still made a lot of friends countless hours of driving to and from the air port
and always seeing modders spawn in ramps, strippers, flying cars and npc followers but like every one else in my life they all moved on. Thank you to all the modders who blew my mind as a child. I'll never forget back when modders made the lobby fun for everyone nowadays you get banned hell, I'm pretty sure were never going to see online modding anymore. The xbox but mainly ps3 due to free online will forever be my favorites consoles I played dead island for ps4 and saw how trash and boring it got without modded weapons. #bringbackmoddedmultiplayer
Modders were fun back then. Wouldn't mess with you too much. You asked for a pink ambulance? They would do it, If you were sassy to them they would just teleport you to jail and set you on fire. Other than that they didn't spend their entire time making the game miserable for you.

I was 12 when I played this game back in 2012. I'm going to be 24 next month. It's crazy how time flies. I still remember sneaking into my brothers room to play this game at absurd times of day and night. I really miss those times. No responsibilities, no issues. Just me and the playstation. Now, I'm going to be married soon and planning on having children with my partner.

Here I am discovering GTA IV for the first time only after 12 years and I just can't say enough how I ended up loving everything about it
I loved this game!! Still do… I miss these days. When I hear this music it reminds me of a simpler time. I had no worries. Parents were still together and I was in elementary living my best life. Man I’m crying writing this… because hearing this music just brings back a wave of memories I had on this game. From being at the airport with friends, throwing people down a staircase at the airport, hitting people off that ledge with my car by where brucie stayed at, to spending 10-15 mins trying to find the right color to have sprayed on my car and the paint shop, shoot outs with the cops, trying to find all the pigeons across the entire map, blocking the door with a car at the clock’n bell and shooting it up, to finally one of my favorite memories just completing the game in general. It sucks the last time I didn’t know it would be my last time for years to come. I wish there was a way to know your in the good ole days when your actually in them.

One of the best games I played growing up I miss playing with such a friendly and great community, when anyone gets in your car you send him a friend request and take him to the end of the city just to get sultan rs or the police stinger in Tbogt after that becomes your friend and you go back to the airport and do a drag race with everyone until that player who has the helicopter start chasing everyone, I will never forget having fun with everyone till 2AM and making friends then go back to single player and start listening to the pause menu while in bed till I sleep, I used to play with many people from the USA and sometimes I talk in the mic but my English was bad as a European from Poland. I wonder where they are in life now. Those were the best times. omg, I just wanna cry now.

There's an odd existential vibe to this. With how 'I keep on walking' is repeated and echoed, it could be indicative - to me at least - of the long search for contentment and meaning during the daily grind of life. I'm not claiming that's what the composer, producers, or developers of the game were intending; especially when I can absolutely see the more romantic side to it. It's just what I personally get out of this version of the song.

Such a dreamy and hopeful little song, works in lovely contrast to the more violent, gothic sounding TLAD or the haunting violins in the original IV. The menu songs that is.
I really hope they don’t drop the ball on the next one. And why not bring back Michael Hunter? He made all of the iconic themes.
This song gives me vibes of those nights I played this game. I remember the day I got the game, but one memory sticks out the most. It was after one exam, my friend and I went to my cousins house in cold weather. We chilled, put this gem of a game on and climbed the highest building. As Luis leapt of the peak, we all looked outside to see it's snowing. That was nearly 7 years ago.
Now this game gives me vibes of an alternative life, another place, another city, another me. I think this music is a must for those shower thought moments - especially with corona and all.

I was 12 years old, waking up at 3 am, the controller still in my hands and getting pure goosebumps caused by this angel like sound. Best score in gaming history for sure. And even though GTA V and especially online gave us a whole next level experience, it never caught up to the Vibe of IV an EFLC. Already waiting for GTA VII and hopefully our return to Liberty City
