Did trail magic is duncannon two days ago. Only saw 5 hikers total. You can definitely see the different mentality between thru hikers and day hikers. All 4 of the thru hikers faces light up when I ask of they wanted a drink. The day hiker looked like I was trying to give candy out of a creepy van lol
“Snakes- why did it have to be snakes?” I’m helping you look out for them every time you show us the trail. I remember the one you almost stepped on from your first thru hike of the AT. Your mom is always supportive and I know you appreciate the effort she makes to be with you. You guys are a great pair. Keep charging!
You did remember ONE thing about that section - lots of ROCKS! Your head had been down toward those rocks all that time 😂. No wonder there was no memory of other things on that section🪨
Taylor, consider wearing snake gaiters over the ankles & calf that are puncture resistant to the snakes. We saw people wear these when we lived in Africa. We love watching your RUclips videos. Congratulations on reaching 1,200 miles. That's a great accomplishment!.
@@brookecampilongo3962 Yeah, we were 20-7 last year and they moved us up to a more elite division and we got smoked .. 12-15 record (ouccchhhh) this year and bombed in State game 11-3 ... so its hiking season now (lol)
when you hit these local breweries or brew pubs give them a shout and if you had some food or beer you really liked let us know. That’s not a cheap item to replace!
Seeing your relationship with your Mom and her visiting is bittersweet for me. My mom has narcissistic personality disorder and we have a bit of a tough relationship. I think it is so damn sweet that your mom supports your hike. Lets go! ^-^
It is always nice to have someone who supports you the way your mom does. And she did trail magic for the hikers. That is really awesome! Congratulations on 1,200 miles! You are really a fast hiker! Keep it up, Taylor! 😃
I bought a similar tent about 2 weeks ago. The trekking pole tent doesn’t work for tent platforms. My goal for the Summer is do a night or two at the Garfield tent site.
The snake on the tree. Nope! I wouldn't like it if I saw that. 😬 You are going to get a crick in your neck from constantly having to look for snakes. And I thought ticks were bad. 😜-Leigh
I really appreciate your generally upbeat and positive personality, so thank you. Also, I'm a Virginian and you were remarkably diplomatic answering your mom's comparison question. Very good! I probably would have unintentionally insulted someone.
Congrats on completing 1200 miles. I'm sure you are in New Jersey by now. Stay safe. Love it when your mom visits you along the places outside the AT. That's has to have a positive impact on your emotional journey as well.
Congrats on 1200. You are right, less than 1000 to go. That’s so cool. Sweet you got to slack pack with trail magic by your mom. You are getting closer and closer to home so that means more opportunity for family time. Enjoy. Take care.
Port Clinton is my home town basically! I'm also on my Thru Hike and I just got to Uncle Johnny's in Tennessee 😅 so I still have a long way to go! Keep it up 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I love that your viewers bicker over being first. Loyal group you have here! You can skip showing the snakes. I scream too and I’m not even close to being there! ✌️
Heyoo Ms. Hamsha, following your hiker vlog yet again! Thank you so much for taking the time to post. Hoping you could video-comment on the frequency of trail-runners in the NY, CT, and MASS sections. Seems that stealth camping is “not allowed”(?) Also…waiting to hear about the tent switch⛺️ You go girl. 1:05
Your mom is a great interviewer! RE: snakes - I was hiking in Wyoming a while ago, and my then bf told me if I hiked naked, no snake would bite me . . .(no, I didn't fall for it, Lol)
When I tell people that snakes are everywhere, they don't believe me. Now I have a video to point them to. I remember hearing about poisonous snakes that would hang from trees in Fiji from my grandfather, so even though I love tropical islands, my snake phobia kept me from doing hikes and things that other people would have done with no problem.
A tip for water bladders... When you are home, keep them in the freezer between uses and they'll never get moldy!
Sweet tip! Thank you!!

4:05 Black snakes are friends, if not friend shaped, they actually kill rattlesnakes, other snakes, and rodents.

When we were kids at Girl Scout camp in NJ my sister didn’t check her sleeping bag before getting in it and there was a snake in it!

Such a great day. Those black snakes will never bother you; ignore them. Thank you for the content.
I’ve got to find some gushers! 🤔
Your mom is adorable 😊 getting caught up on some of your videos today!
#1 most snakes are harmless #2 most poisonous snakes are freaked out by you as much as you are by them. Don’t quit because of snakes 🫣

Taylor math: 16 miles is Nero, 22 is big miles, and 27 is I guess that's a lot 🤣🤣 girl you're a robot
She’ll do over 30 somewhere soon, that’s a big day but with 14 hours of sunlight it’s doable for the Robot! 😊

How disappointing that there’s only 12 gushers in a box. Creepy snake!

Your mom is a great interviewer! RE: snakes - I was hiking in Wyoming a while ago, and my then bf told me if I hiked naked, no snake would bite me . . .(no, I didn't fall for it, Lol)
From Pennsylvania….it’s all rocks lol. Even when there’s “not rocks” there’s rocks lol. Hiking shoes most people get 400 miles out of I’ll get 250
New Jersey is always a surprise. You picture it being a shit hole, but it’s surprisingly pretty.
All of the scars on my legs from hiking are from Pennsylvania. The only section that I was wary of snakes was by the Pinnacle.
I assume it's also greener this time around.
Taylor. I trail run in PA and there is a tone of rocks.... but my feet are used to it. I hope to do AT 2025....
Pennsylvania: aka Rocksylvania
U probably were looking down for snakes 🐍, would be the reason u don't remember. Be safe, I hate snakes too!

Plastic forks and knifes and plates in a hotel? Sustainability still not a thing in the US?
