- This is how to setup Steam to launch a non-steam game like Once Human and how to use your Xbox Controller during the beta test for Once Human. I shared my controller layout for you to use as well!
Once Human doesn't have native controller support, but this is how to work around it in Steam.

I don’t know if you are still updating this but I don’t seem to have the launcher.
Where do I get it from?
I tried step by step. but some of the settings doesnt show on my end like yours does. I've tried xbox controller and PS5/4. No luck. Wondering b/c since then the updates changed how things run.
It says error just trying to add Once Human in the non-steam games...les sighs
The update has disabled my controller have you had that problem?

Is this possible with the full release while waiting for real controller support? I'm not very good at messing around with steam controller input and haven't been able to figure it out...

Not working for me. I can apply it normally but under desktop layout/ edit/ layouts they won’t apply. I’m thinking something is not matching? I have never have an issues with this with over 300 games played on steam.

Pls how about for playstation controller like the ps4 controller? I can’t find the enable for PlayStation option
I don't have a Playstation controller unfortunately, but play around with the first settings and see what works.
Make sure your Steam Input setting is on as she did, and Steam's DS4 support is on too. Then in Community layouts hit Square to "show all layouts." There are xbox ones, but no DS4 ones. Still gotta test them myself, but in all other games they map just fine.
I don’t understand. Why do we need a launcher outside of steam? When I log in and redownload am I having two different versions of once human on my system now? Will the accounts be the same if just use sign in as guest? I don’t get this crap.
you don't need a launcher, this video was for using a controller in the beta, when they weren't on Steam yet

There is no LoadingBayLauncher.exe in the game file..... this doesnt work

If you close the application and do it again that might help . So I got it to work but then when the game would load up it would stop working so I restarted and did a couple times and also make sure the controller is usb plugged to the computer
hi, i cant see your community layout?
Go to LIBRARY and select the game. Go to the gear icon and go to properties. Change the shortcut name to Once Human. You can also change the icon there as well.
@@LurnWell Thanks! This made layouts actually show, but not hers. I see the other two in the vid, and 3 others.
I only see hers when I use the option for nomsteam game, but I can't find the launcher only the exe. So it won't work. When I use the regular steam listing for the game, her layout won't show for some reason@@darlinglionheart4195

@@ericprestel3679 Dang, that's a bummer. This just popped into my head so I came over to mention: Does OH ask you to run as Admin? My steam keeps launching as NOT admin, and this breaks its abiity to emulate to Admin-level apps. So close Steam, right-click and "Run as Admin". Then OH shouldn't ask itself when you launch, and you should get *some* response from your controller.
I'll be publishing a new layout soon since no one has done something as nice as what I'd found in Beta, and the Beta ones won't copy over. I'll paste here when I do.

I don't have loading bay
I got this to work. Follow all the instructions in the video. When it comes time to run the game, make sure Loading Bay isn't already running in the background. What was happening with me was I would click start to run the game in Steam and since the launcher was already open it was just running the game as normal (without going through Steam). I terminated the launcher from the task bar and when I clicked start again in Steam it would actually start Loading Bay from Steam allowing the controller inputs to work.
You may also have to enable steam overlay for this to work. If the option is greyed out in the game properties, navigate to "steam" in the upper left, click settings, select "in game" from the left pane, and make sure the top option "enable the steam overlay while in-game" is on. Now the option to enable steam overlay in the actual game properties from your library should be available.
Were your target and loadin the same as hers? When I browse for target it looks the same but when I browse for load in I’m unable to find just the game

i cant get my xbox controller to work at all my guy doesn't move
and i don't see your layout at all either
make sure you open Steam as admin and check the first settings I show to toggle on your Xbox controller in Steam. I was having a hard time getting it to work until I fully restarted Steam (through the taskbar).
