As always Tom you are making life lite up. I love ❤️ you brother woodsman. Crafts ur on it. Thank you Tom 🤠. ... could not find a russian hat like ur wearing. ... Arkansas Clyde 🇺🇸👍❤️ enjoyed
I really enjoy watching you make lanterns! They're wonderful. I'm hoping to make one some day. I think the second one is my favorite, if I had to pick! 😉😍
Great construction with the mechanism for lifting the candle! The dogbone rawhide, didnt knew that was possible to soak the and unfold. I will show a kuksa and a shrink pot in the days to come, I think you will like them, especially the shrink pot! Have a great day!
Tom👍👍 No replies, no problems. It was nice to see all three lantern projects in one video, they turned out fantastic. Almost like video instructional from the pro. I know they'll look good no matter where you hang them. Thanks for this video and we'll see you in the next one. Enjoy!
They all look great together. Well done Tom. I might be tempted to try and make one myself but I suspect it might turn out to be a real Dogs dinner which might be appropriate considering what you made them from...🤣
Excellent, I did not see at first that there were three different shaped lanterns. I like the one you show first but the round one is easier to build without a plan. I can read plans but not execute them well. I however can make a plan in my mind and enjoy it. It is more flexible if things go wrong. 🤗😉🤗 My project today will be to make an awl from a screwdriver. I always have plenty of spare screwdrivers.😉
Those are so nice. I have so many projects on the go that, I’ll be honest, I don’t know if I’ll get to make these but it was amazing to watch you build them. Thank you
A great tutorial video on these projects. I think that these are really cool! Great little projects to do with the older Grandchildren over a few days.
Hello Tom!! I hope all is well with you and your family ! Thank you so very much for posting this video 📹 . Your craftsmanship is always amazing 👏 ! The 3 lanterns look very good together. Like you said "very cozy" . They will look great on the long boat or in Cimbrer Camp 🏕😀😉😄👍! Take care and stay safe my brother!!!
Vunderbar! I love both lanterns. I love how you sourced the rawhide from Cornelius chew bones. I had never thought of that. I will be making 2 lanterns now. Skal from Oklahoma!
Tom, you make it look so easy! Ha! You are a wonderful craftsman and an inspiration to me! A big hug my friend. Hopefully my hexagonal lantern turns out looking more or less like yours! ATB!
@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag Notice Tom, that I didn't indicate that I watched this video, since I had viewed them separately. I did want to leave a like and a comment though, in order to help it spread to other new viewers. See you in the next one.
Awesome Tom, thanks for these tutorials. I have some rawhide on the way to make more bomb proof axe collars (Nature's Kydex!), and I think I'm going to give your lanterns a go with whatever leftover I have. There should be enough to do 5-6 lanterns, if I have my measurements correct. As for MDF, yes it's officially called that here in Canada too "Medium Density Fiberboard", but it's better known as Mystery Maple, or Wiener Wood. LOL!
Beautiful craftsmanship Tom on all three of your lanterns! It was awesome seeing them all together at the end of the video with the animal skin in the backdrop! Fantastic job my friend!
Wow! What an unexpected treat, to get a video on Wednesday! Nice one again, Tom! The lamps look great and fun to make. I have made quite a few pieces of my kit. Are you on Facebook? I’d love to share some photos with your audience. I’m sure they’d love to share some of their projects as well.
Tom, the content is cool. I have a wish. It would be better if the subtitle functions were enabled. Then it would be possible to enable auto translation. And make the content even more accessible to a larger group of people who do not speak English.
Yes I found out how important a sharp knife is last night. It was a relatively new blade but not new enough I guess. It would make a slight tearing noise when cutting the wet hide. Cutting may be better described as hacking. 🤗😮🤐😮🤗 I did figure out a very good way to use the hide I had in the best way. However once I finish my first lantern I will say whether it is actually a good way or not. 🤗
A great omnibus edition episode! 👏🏼 Have you considered maybe trying to recreate a replica using only the raw materials, tools and techniques as used by the ancient Norsemen?
Just found your channel. The lamps are lovely, and I never would've known to just soak a dog chew for rawhide- so clever!
Thanks Linda 😉👍🏻 and glad you found my channel and hope you’ll enjoy some of my other videos too 🤗🏕🔥🐕
Tom
Wonderful lampa..Tom 😊👍🌲.. You are handy.. 🙋Bay-bay.. Martina🐾🍀🇨🇿

Yes it is called MDF here as well.I may have to use thin plywood as that is what I have. A good dark cherry stain and it will still be pretty.🤗😉🤗
Yeah that’s right 😉 and I hope you’ll enjoy making them 🏕🔥🌲
