The customized Old Man messages are what really make this run fun. 33:28 and 36:07 are just PERFECT.
Why are they broadcasting the random finds for the other runner to hear about? They could have explained the random pickups without completely stating what they found
The players were wearing headphones, I think they can only hear game sounds

What fucking great race!!! Best run of SGDQ so far for me. I loved the FF4 randomizer run at AGDQ this year and this lived up to the hype!

So can anyone quickly explain why both runners snubbed the book?
Since the rod is used for extra damage on enemies, often in close quarters, the fire that it produces causes more damage to the runners then they would like. The fire is not useful in this kind of seed. So it is best to skip it.
@@ericweberr It’s also that some enemies are immune to fire and the beam the wand produces converts to fire, making it even less effective than the base
