- Somehow i beat every campaign (Including saint) yet my skills are still inferior to those of a literal baby.
This is the first video of me trying to beat rain world while taking care of a child. Somehow this makes the game 10x more brutal than it is normally, as every time you die you feel as if you have disappointed your child.

2: I’m pretty sure scabs holding spears above their head and pointing them at you like that means essentially "stay back, you’re too close!" (And straight pointing means "hey, hey, stay back"), so that’s why you got speared
i think the slugpup didn't pounce at 1:47 because slugpups can't pounce as far as adult slugcats - lil guy might not have been strong enough to cross that gap normally. it's part of why i keep my son on my back most of the time (he is small and not very agile (he's doing his best tho))
If you keep your slugpup on your back to much they just get worse but if you let them run around they will get better
@@bendycake i learned that way too far into my run, unfortunately :( by that point i'd spent most of the run carrying my little guy around.
ToothPaste (my first son) did learn to backflip while riding on my back, though! i only found out after i got my second son (popcorn) and had to let them run around more to keep my hands free; ToothPaste did a lot of backflipping during calmer moments.
@@bendycakehonestly there's too much complicated and impossible parkour for pups to freely follow you so you mostly carry them. Also they are slow. And no matter how much time they are on ground I don't see them being very good so it's just easier to carry them around almost all the time.

That's what beautiful about them. They learn how to hunt, evade and navigate entirely based on how YOU do it, but only if you're not carrying them. You threw a spear, so it picked one up and threw it at the lizard, simple
They sadly dont learn and i dont like slugpups they do not listen and cannot do simple things like follow u,bassicaly i got a "brave" slugpup and he ran away if he saw anything,i dont like them they just take more food and dont wven save u,when i get bit by a lizard they just jump in place and watch happily as im getting murdered
You find your slugpup right where I found my second one, mines called mond and they are a very picky eater and whenever I leave them to go get food they just slump over and go to sleep until I return

I found a slugpup while doing an expedition. It made completing my missions harder, but I refused to leave him behind, he was lost and scared in pipeyard right before the rain was coming. It was worth it though, he was my little guy.

I haven't gotten there yet but it seems to be that slugpup raising may be one of the few escort-type mission that people do not actively despise

Ofc personality values do affect how a slugpup combats but they also learn alot from watching how the player move! You seem pretty darn good at the game actually so i think ur slugpup must be learning well from you on survival.
But they def can be a lil dumb sometimes, i have a black slugpup named zody that sometimes refuses to go down from poles so i'll have to go back and grab her before moving on.

Wait slugpups learn from player movement and combatting things? I've had mine for like 60+ cycles and they are just as useless as when they started, apparently mine are just dumb lol
@@dooogey2791 LMAO UR SLUGPUP MUST HAVE GOTTEM PRETTY UNLUCKY WITH ITS STATS, DW IVE GOT ONE GREEN IDIOT PUP WITH ME TOO. But u might get a chance of a pup with better stats if another spawns like how my other pup spawned :)
@@dooogey2791apparently my slug pup is a god he fell down a pit with 2 purples a green and 1 carmel and he survived I found both pinks dead and a green dead the carmel I watched fall down ran and my pup climbed out he also ate some fruit and this is 5 cycles after I got him his name was chad 3 the last survivor of the wall where I had lost many before he died later on when I went back to chimney

I haven't unlocked slugpups yet, but I just wanted to say that I'm SO paranoid of every pole being one of those mimic pole things that I throw whatever's in my hand straight at the pole whenever I even consider passing by in case one of them is actually a mimic pole and I accidentally tilt my joystick too far up-
you can check the map to see if it's a pole plant or not, real poles will show up on the map and fake poles won't
In addition to what artificer said, fake poles are far more red-tinted than real poles, and you can just throw rocks at whatever you suspect

he looks so much like mine, but mine had pale blue/green eyes, just lika an actual cat.
Storytime: gourmand run, i was in the citadel of the outer expanse, and a caramel grabbed him, i thought he diedm but i dont know why i didnt kill myself to reset the cicle. the food pips had faded, so i had no doubt.
So i got to a new shelter and slept, the guilt eating me raw. But then when i woke up, and after i had gotten quite a bit away from the spot, THE FOOD PIPS WERE STILL THERE. HE WAS ALIVE, somewhere, starving. I went back, and looked everywhere, but no sign of him!
I had to google how to restore a previous save, but no one knew how to do it. But i had found a folder with backups. And figured out that is i copy paste the files within it onto the main files, they would overwrite them and restore a previous save. I had to redo a part of the citadel, but we got to the tree togetheerrrrr 😭

i have a bug where slugpups randomly crash my game when they grab a blue pupae anyone has any idea why this happens?

Do you have slugpups unlocked and are you playing a campaign where they can spawn/have a mod that makes them spawn for all campaigns? And if you do have that mod, check if you set the max slugpup count to 0

How do you even find a slugpup?
you finish gourmands food quest and go to the ending, you unlock slugpups that way, after that theres a set chance for one to appear in EVERY region that has a shelter (that excludes depths, but im sure they can just somehow wander off to there) with some of the ones with the most chances being industrial, pipeyard and subterranean ( i think), industrial only has around 20% chance of one appearing but its easy to get anywhere in industrial so you will find one quickly if it spawns

Ps:it does unlocks after gourmand's campaign without the mod,but it's not for all slugcats.
