My MC9 is great. Got it new a couple weeks ago along with my Glock 19. I hope they fixed the issue. l getting the METE SFx next . The Canik's are great.
I've got about 200 rounds through my MC9 and have had no issues. The slide is a little stiff but that will loosen up I'm sure. My full size CZ is still my all time favorite but the MC9 is so easy to EDC.
Recently bought the MC9 and only put @80 or so rounds thru it and no problems. I would like to get a Gen 5 Glock 26. Chunky but very accurate. I shot a gen3 long ago. Good video. Thanks
This was a great review! I'm looking for an EDC, and I am considering both. I'm leaning towards the Canik because of the greater price value, and it's thinner.
Great video, excellent review. I especially liked, and appreciated the fact that you admitted right from the beginning that you’re a Glock guy, so naturally you might have at least some favoritism towards Glock. I’m an HK guy, my EDC is a VP9SK, and while I don’t have anything against either Glock, or Canik I have no predisposition towards either. That said, I have both a G26 and a METE MC9 as well, and my takeaway was a little different than yours. After shooting the 2 guns side by side I have to say I preferred the Canik, mostly because the trigger on the Canik was extremely good, but also because I preferred the ergonomics of the Canik. However, I would absolutely agree that Glocks track record for reliability is unquestionable better.
Great video, but I disagree (respectfully). I have a bunch of Glocks, and none of them shoots as good as any Canik I have shot. This includes Baby G (I have a Gen 3). I would be curious to see a head to head comparison between the MC9 and the Shield Plus.
The Shield Plus and the MC9 is about as close a comparison as you’ll get, both great triggers both about the same size . About the only plus the Canik has is that it used the full the magazines
Ill stick with my g26 til canik gets their shit together lol I like canik but the mc9 seems to be having so many issues atm.... I also get my glocks on blue label so its hard to beat the price.
@@TheNoscopenate93 cool there’s too many issues for a gun with such hype…. I also have a sfx and rival no issues there I just can’t justify changing up my edc rotation for something that has issues. I’ll wait a year and let them work out the kinks 🤷♂️
Nothing compares to the Glock 26 but the Canik Elite SC. It is the only contender worth considering. For the record no other gun manufacturer has done what Glock and now Canik is doing. Canik is challenging Glock on every platform in its class. For that matter a better comparison would be between the Canik MC9 Mete vs Glock 43X… Nice job Canik
Reliability shouldn’t be a test measure since the mc9 is a new weapon. The G26 has more time on the market. Compare 🍎 to 🍎. Features. Price. Performance. Functionality. Reliability can only come with time. Regarding grip size, sure a better purchase would be the G26 because it allows more area for grip. Maybe a better comparison would be the G26 vs. Canik TP9 Elite SC because both models have similar grips sizes. It’s hard to compare a thin grip and a thick grip. Kinda sounds like a unfair comparison. Dude, sounds like you’re emotionally attached to your G26 and to your own admission, you’re a Glock fanboy. My problem with Glock is their lack of innovation but yet no their items are still some of the most costly on the market. It’s almost robbery. That’s my opinion.
I have a mete mc9 and I got to say I love it. Conceals well and shoots well. The only thing I didn't care for is the base plate of the 15 rd mag. I found on RUclips Hurley Welding makes a base plate that looks better and gives you a full grip in the hand. Check them out. Happy shooting!
I own the canik mc9…no problems so far…just i find it stiff for me to rack…im hoping it loosens up…me being a woman…maybe its me…not enough muscle power…not sure…i dont have any problems with my other guns but the mc9 is so stiff to me…great review!!!
@@expleatifdelited982 ive been doing that..i noticed wearing a fingerless glove helps me a bit more…at least it dont tear up my hands as the back sights have sharp corners on them
I preordered a mc9 two tone after seeing horror stories of the problems and canika customer service and then this review cancelled it bought a Glock 26 gen 5 instead. Thanks a lot.
I love my MC9 and it’s my EDC but I’m not mad at Glock being your choice. Glock is around for a reason. I have a 43X myself but I have to say that my MC9 blows it out the water
Mag catch on the MC9 doesn't have enough travel to keep from riding on the mag when releasing. Trimming the catch down with a dremmel fixes that easily. Ask me how I know. Great video. TY!
I think the g26 is the smallest a sub compact should be. And I think the canik is the biggest a micro compact should be. You should have reviewed it against the hellcat or 365
Canik is a clear winner. better trigger, better ergonomics, better sights, and the price is unbeatable. closing in on 1k rounds and zero issues.
I carry the Glock 26 Gen 5, and that’s what I’m trusting my life with. Thx for the review
I bought a gen 5 Glock 26 right before the Canik was introduced. I love the Glock, but I am going to buy the MC9 also. Great review!
The G26 is far from being a Micro compact , an apples to apples comparison would have been the Glock26 vs the Canik Elite SC
My MC9 is great. Got it new a couple weeks ago along with my Glock 19. I hope they fixed the issue. l getting the METE SFx next . The Canik's are great.
Super dope video as usual Fam..... I have both.... but ive been shooting the 26 for 20+ years vs 1 year behind the MC9 trigger/platform.
I've got about 200 rounds through my MC9 and have had no issues. The slide is a little stiff but that will loosen up I'm sure. My full size CZ is still my all time favorite but the MC9 is so easy to EDC.
MC9 had issues with the trigger. Glock has no issues period!
Recently bought the MC9 and only put @80 or so rounds thru it and no problems. I would like to get a Gen 5 Glock 26. Chunky but very accurate. I shot a gen3 long ago. Good video. Thanks
I put about 200 rounds through my mete mc9 the first time I shot it with absolutely no issues
This was a great review! I'm looking for an EDC, and I am considering both. I'm leaning towards the Canik because of the greater price value, and it's thinner.
If the Glock has been your EDC over a longer period of time, it will, of course, shoot better for you. Your comparison is slightly biased.

Glock perfection wins everytime but Canik is a great gun with a great trigger so they both are great choices.

Got the Gen 3 Glock 26. Shoots flawlessly.
Everyone seems to have problems with canik, but mine is absolutely flawless. I have the mete mc9 AND the tp9sfx they're both flawless

Bought an MC9 recoil spring failed on the first 3 rounds.
Got a new recoil spring from Canik. Will be testing
Great video, and it made my decision easy...the Canik. I will try it out for sure. Question, what kind of turtle is that in the tank? 🐢
Lol. It's an Eastern Painted turtle 🐢
Nice review sir! The Glock 26 will be my next purchase.
Great video, also your fish tank needs water.

Great review! I currently have a Gen 3 26. I want to upgrade to the Gen 5.
Lots of issues with the MC9
Canik is sending me a whole new gun 😵💫 not sure I can even trust it anymore
Hopefully, the new one they send you will be issue free.
@@mwalimubusara1395 hopefully! I’m glad they’re trying to make it right

I’ve heard leaving it racked back might help with that.
As someone who owns an mc9 my lossened up a LITTLE at 200 rds through it hoping to see it loosen a little more with more rounds....

Good choice. My recoil spring overlapped itself after the first 3 rounds. I fucked up.

A Glock guy against a Canik? Who wins? Not fair.
I’ll take the proven Glock all day, any day!
Neither one of those guns are micros, there sun compacts.
Sub compacts.
